Sky High is a three story cabin almost one mile high up beautiful Bald Mountain at over 4,300' in elevation; gorgeous VIEWS and sunsets, lovely mountain drive up the mountain on paved road to include paved driveway. Our cabin is very easily accessible during most of the year, but we always recommend 4WD/AWD vehicles during the winter months. We are located just minutes from downtown West Jefferson and approximately 40-45 minutes from Boone!

Our home is pet friendly for your 4 legged family member (dogs only weighing less than 50 pounds). There is a one time nonrefundable pet fee of $100 per pet (maximum of 2 dogs) plus tax and your pet will have to be approved by management.

Our cabin offers 4 bedrooms (maximum of 10 guests), 3.5 bathrooms, lower level game room with pool table, gas fireplace, card table, dining table, foosball table. There is a 20 foot gas fireplace in main floor living room, media room with large TV, leather sofa and comfortable chairs. Fully furnished with all the comforts of home, charcoal park grill, full width of chalet deck with open and partially covered porch.

Main Floor: You will find our modern and updated kitchen with gas stove/oven, fridge with ice maker, dishwasher, microwave, regular coffee maker, toaster oven and most everything else needed to prepare a great meal. The dining area will seat 6 comfortably and there is additional seating at the kitchen island for 4 more guests.

The living room boasts a 20' stacked stone gas fireplace (seasonal), flatscreen TV and VIEWS out of the large windows for that bright and open feel. There is a laundry closet with a washer and dryer located in the half bathroom on the main level as well.

The master bedroom has a king size bed, Roku TV (no cable) and private access to the covered deck. Imagine having coffee or a meal on the deck and take in the beauty and awe of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The master En Suite bathroom has his/her double sink, a jetted tub, a glass enclosed shower and a spacious walk-in closet.

Upper Floor: You will find 2 additional queen size bedrooms and a full bathroom with tub/shower combo. One bedroom has a Roku TV and the other bedroom has a BluRay DVD player that has access to Netflix.
The loft offers additional seating and a media room with a couch and cable TV. The mountain views from the loft are spectacular and a must see! There is plenty of room for the family and friends to spread out and have their own area.

Lower Level: The 4th bedroom is on the lower level with a queen size bed and a bunk bed. The third full bathroom with tub/shower combo along with the family/game room is on the lower level.

The game room offers a pool table, foosball table, gas fireplace, card table and additional seating. This is a great way to spend quality time with each other creating memories that will last a lifetime!

Outside: Off of the lower level, you'll find our relaxing 5 person hot tub, outdoor fire pit (wood not provided) and a gazebo! There is a charcoal park grill just off the porch (charcoal not provided).

Important Information: Sky High is located in a private community and guests are asked to be respectful of the neighborhood. Sound travels in the mountains, so please be mindful when enjoying our outdoor areas. There is a countywide noise ordinance in place after 10:00 PM.

Minimum Stay Requirements:
2-night minimum stay for off-peak seasons.
3-night minimum for summer months, most holidays, and October.
4-night minimum for Thanksgiving.
7-night minimum for July 4th and Christmas/New Year holidays.

Check-out: 10:00 AM or sooner.

Guests are advised to prepare for varying weather conditions, including rain, snow, ice, and fog.
Winter weather (November through April) may require 4-wheel drive, good tires, and chains for safe travel on mountain roads.
No refunds, allowances, or date changes due to guest negligence in preparing for hazardous road conditions.

Cancellations within 45 days before arrival date do NOT receive a refund. But you may recover the entire amount if travel insurance was purchased and the reason for cancellation was covered. ALL request to cancel MUST be submitted in writing.

As you plan your trip to the mountains, please remember we do get rain, snow, and some foggy days with occasional inconveniences which are out of our control. Winter weather in the Blue Ridge Mountains can occur from November through April. The majority of our homes are accessed by mountain roads, which will be icy in winter weather. For the safety of you and your party, please be prepared to drive in snow and ice. This means 4-wheel drive, good tires, and chains. It is YOUR responsibility to be prepared for hazardous road conditions. There will be NO refunds, allowances, or date changes resulting from your negligence in this matter.
