Wenn Sie die Natur genießen möchten, eine Wanderung unternehmen, über einem Feuer am Bach kochen, in Paddelbooten angeln, Glühwürmchen, Kolibris, Rehe, wilde Truthähne und Zehen im kühlen Bach beobachten möchten , Pool-Zeit, Hängematten-Zeit, Sterne gucken, Whirlpool einweichen und Familienzeit, dann ist DIES der richtige Ort für Sie!
Ich habe diese Hütte gebaut, um mich mit meiner Familie und Freunden zu treffen, mich wieder mit denen zu verbinden, die du liebst und um dich zu entspannen und Frieden zu finden - ich denke, all das wirst du hier finden. Neuer Tennis- und Pickleballplatz !!!!

Great mountain house for the family!

Our family had the best time staying at this mountain house! The layout was great for our two boys! It was very peaceful gated community with a wonderful, hot tub and clubhouse where we spent time playing foosball pool and ping-pong. We will definitely be back.

We had a wonderful stay and it was a great house for our family with plenty of space/beds. The house had everything we needed, wonderful views and very easy check in/out process! Great neighborhood and amenities (pool and playground) were a plus too!

Amazing girls trip

This cabin was wonderful! The hot tub was great and the house and linens were clean and nice. It was a night get away for a girls night. Very relaxing. Already planning a trip back!

Cabin and view were beautiful!!

We went up for a relaxing girl's weekend and this place was exactly what we were looking for. The cabin itself was gorgeous, loved the fire pit and hot tub but it was close enough to Boone for a little bit of shopping! View was something to be seen!

Heaven in the Hills

Friends 60th

Our stay was FANTASTIC!! Loved the views!! Friends who hadn’t all gotten together in 15 yrs, we laughed and hiked a lot😎. Fantastic trails right in the community, paddle boats, and wildlife. Loved our time their!!!

Over all great property with a beautiful view. The neighborhood has a lot of amenities we enjoyed. It is definitely a decent drive to Boone center so just be aware of that.

30th Anniversary

Outstanding! Perfect view, perfect house! Very private and secluded - just what we were after. All amenities were great. If given the opportunity, we would go back again and stay at this house. Thanks for the memories!

Girlfriends Getaway

Great getaway with friends. Started with coffee on deck in mornings. Spent day going shopping in Boone and lunch. One day to Grandfather Mountain, one to falls and just exploring and stopping anywhere we wanted! Ended with wine or cocktails on deck. Lots of fun and laughs! Had everything we needed.

Absolutely blessed time and breathtaking views

I had always wanted to see “fall” in the mountains and booked this beautiful cabin as my 60th birthday present for my wife and me!! Wow wow wow !! I prayed and God answered 🙏 From literally the best Mountain View cabin we have ever stayed in to the priceless memories around the fire pit during spectacular sunrises and sunsets and the fantastic customer service from Terry in between… everything was amazing!! The neighborhood has numerous great trails and we saw wildlife almost every day night … Thank you God and Terry for a great 60th birthday present … We are truly blessed and plan on being back and sharing this heaven in the hills gem with our family and friends!!

Already making plans to go back!

Super cozy home that actually *feels* like a home, but with an truly amazing view and fantastic amenities within the neighborhood. We absolutely felt right at home. Beds were comfy, plenty of linens and towels (thank goodness for the extra blankets at hand - it gets cool in the evenings), clean, plenty of room for the four of us. Within easy drives (once you get used to the twisty country roads!) of Blowing Rock, Grandfather Mtn, Blue Ridge Parkway, and lots more. The only reason I gave "communication with property manager" only 3 stars was because I tried to email and message, and never received an answer; but it didn't impact our stay hardly at all, so other than that, a total 5-star experience. :) Really can't wait to go back!

Beautiful views

Cabin was nice. View was amazing. Cabin was well stocked with kitchen supplies. Grill worked great and the flowers added charm to the deck. Hummingbirds were fun to see. Hot tub did not work and was not fixed for our use during our stay. Club house was not open due to the covid 19 and the cabin does not have internet. Although the description said there was no internet at the cabin, it did say it was available at the club house and with it being closed, we had no internet or cell service at all while visiting. The lower deck needed to be cleaned and the blinds in one of the bedroom was in bad shape. I am sure the owner has taken care of these issues since our stay. Overall we loved staying at this cabin....Almost Heaven!!

No wifi no cell service and a little too "homey"

Granted, my experience with VRBO is somewhat limited and I have stayed in many luxury cabins before in different areas (GA and TN) so my standards may be a little high but this cabin missed many marks for my family of 6 (kids ages 11-18). We arrived late in the evening after visiting Tweetsie Christmas and had a very difficult time finding this place. Do not use Apple maps and steer clear of Jakes Mountain Road!!! The host did not provide specific directions and our GPS took us to a route that didn't exist. GPS rerouted us but the alternate route took us to a road that was closed. The host was readily available when we called for yet a third route but some prior warning would have been appreciated after a 10 hour drive from FL. Also, cell service is very bad in the area. It was a miracle we were able to get through to the host. When we went to town the next day, GPS took us along Jakes Mountain Road - an extremely terrifying, narrow, rocky dirt road on the edge of a mountain. Although the listing mentions inconspicuously that wifi isn't available at the cabin and the clubhouse has wifi, the clubhouse is a 10 minute drive away. Not walkable at all, and there is no cell service in the cabin. This made it very challenging to plan our day trips and was a huge letdown to our 4 teens. Granted, they are used to staying in cabins with a pool table and game consoles, which we knew this cabin did not have. The cabin was decorated very cute for the holidays but was not resort clean. More like staying in a friend's house who cleaned up before you came over than a vacation rental you paid for. Old sponge for dishes; dirty coffee pot; moldy shower curtain; old ice cream, condiments and other food in the fridge and cabinets; and the sheets smelled ok but seemed dingy/used. Compound that with the copious list of "cleaning instructions" they expect you to follow when you leave and I strongly question whether the sheets were actually washed. They expect guests to clean and put away all dishes and place bed linens in the laundry room before leaving. There is no way all sheets can be washed by the next check-in time... 3rd bedroom advertised as having a double and two singles is really a double/single bunk with a single trundle. Trundle was small for our teens. I should've questioned why there was no picture of that room in the listing... Fireplace did not work and had to replace propane in fire pit. We still had a good time as a family and area is lovely

This cabin is so cute and cozy!! There is so much space inside and outside. The hot tub was so nice and easy to use. Plenty of seating outside with an amazing view! I highly recommend staying here and would absolutely stay here again!!

We were so happy to return to Heaven in the Hills this year for our annual girls trip. The views are unbeatable and we had wonderful weather to soak up as much time as possible on the deck. The hot tub, fire pit and all the amenities make for a perfect mountain getaway.

My name is Terry and my husband, Jeff and I live in Wilmington, NC. I grew up in upstate New York but moved to Raleigh and then to Wilmington when I was younger. We first went to Powder Horn Mountain when our kids were about 7 and 10 and had the best family vacation we have ever had. We loved getting out in the woods, hikng, fishing, animal watching and just getting back to pure family time. We returned every summer and then had the opportunity to buy a lot and build our own dream cabin. How lucky and blessed we are!
We have tried to make this cabin a cozy retreat for all who come to find peace and re-connect with nature and your loved ones.
