Lost Cabin - Horses and Pets Welcome!

Quaint rural home in the heart of the Rockies, with breath taking views. Located between 6 ski areas, 6 miles to world class fishing, hiking, mountain biking, hunting, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, and cross country skiing. Quiet, relaxing area nestled in a sportsman's paradise.

The space:

You will have full access to this cozy, fully remodeled Lost cabin. Very well stocked kitchen including pots, pans, and cooking basics. With an abundance of space for parking trailers. Access to an outdoor outlet to plug in trucks in the winter and corals with water available for horses. Lot of space for kids to play, fire pit, seating area and grill available for outdoor relaxation.

Guest access:

Guests may access the Lost Cabin, large yard and parking area and the corral. Please notify us if the corral is needed so we can fill water tanks.

Other things to note:

The Lost Cabin is located in a beautiful relaxing sportsman’s paradise. This is a fully remodeled original ranch house. Cattle may be grazing in the fields close to the house. There are fences to separate the house from the pasture so please respect the boundaries. We provide Dish Network for your TV entertainment. We also have some books, playing cards, and board games available. You will have strong Verizon/AT&T cell phone service in the immediate area. T-Mobile service is not that great at this time. The cabin is located on Ute pass, you will be 10 miles from the nearest restaurant which is an old time cowboy bar that has cold beer and good food. They offer daily specials and have live bands on some weekends.

Great place

Great place to stay at. Pricing was good, plenty of beds, kitchen was great. PLENTY of parking, we went on a snowmobiling trip with a large trailer, driveway is nice and flat and plenty of space to turn around. We will likely be back!

We very much enjoyed our family weekend at the Lost Cabin, playing games and taking walks outside and appreciating the solitude and surrounding scenery. Although we initially had trouble unlocking the door, we had no problem after the owner explained how it worked. Everything in the kitchen was great, but we would suggest the addition of a dish drying rack and some silicone cooking utensils. We are grateful for our peaceful and comfortable stay in the cabin.

One of our favorite places

We love this place! If you want to be miles from anything- check this place out. We loved the sunsets and seeing the storms roll in. The house is a great size for a family of four plus a dog!

Beautiful Views!!

This was our second stay at the cabin and it was just as good as the first. The owner was very responsive and had fantastic suggestions for family activities. The kitchen was very well stocked with dish ware. We enjoyed hiking and attended the local rodeo.

Home away from home

This property is exactly what my girlfriend and I were looking for. We got lucky it was available for our last minute vacation from Florida. The property is exactly as pictured and Sheena was communicative and made sure we enjoyed our stay. Would highly recommend!

The perfect getaway!

The cabin has been beautifully renovated, and the property surroundings are so peaceful. Every night we had gorgeous sunsets and a sky full of stars. We felt like we were off the beaten path, yet it was an easy drive to Granby/Grand Lake/RMNP and Silverthorne. Sheena provided perfect treats, and she thoughtfully provided everything we needed for our trip. We loved it and highly recommend this cabin! We'd love to come back!

Little slice of heaven!

I’d only ever been as far into Colorado as Vail and my husband and myself wanted something a little more “off the grid” for a winter getaway honeymoon and The Lost Cabin delivered. I was blown away not only by the spectacular views, being literally surrounded by mountains with a huge open sky of stars every night, but also with the cleanliness and condition of the cabin itself. Usually places look better online than they do in person but The Lost Cabin is the exception to that rule...the pictures don’t do it justice. Close enough drive to the attractions that Colorado has to offer such as skiing, horseback riding and ziplining but far enough out in the wilderness to feel like you truly have your own little slice of paradise all to yourselves. Sheena was extremely easy to get ahold of, accommodating and friendly even leaving us farm fresh eggs and having the fireplace running upon our arrival. 10/10 I almost DON’T want to recommend so it’s not booked up when we try to return this summer 😉

Christmas at the Lost Cabin

We had the best time in the cozy Lost Cabin. We have never traveled during Christmas and we’re pleasantly surprised with the Christmas tree and decorations at the cabin. Set in the mountains with beautiful scenic views, quiet, perfect place to spend the holidays with my familty. Definitely recommend! Close to attractions too🙂Thank you Sheena!

Great stay in the mountains!!

We loved the Lost Cabin! It is in a beautiful setting surrounded by mountains out in the country. It feels remote but still not too far of a drive from Sulfur Springs and Granby. The cabin is cozy and has all the features you need to have a comfortable and relaxing stay. The wide open space was perfect for the kids and dogs to run around outside. We love the area!

Perfect Open Space Cabin!

Super cute, well appointed and uber cozy by the fire place! We loved our choice for Valentine's Day Weekend! Lots of open space and snow to ski/snowshoe around and explore with the dogs but close enough to meet up with friends in Frasier after a day of skiing! Very comfortable and connected enough to work a bit on Monday morning! We will definitely be back!

Beautiful Open Spaces

We loved our relaxing stay at Lost Cabin--we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Our dog was welcomed and she seemed to enjoy "ranch" life. The ranch is away from tourist crowds, while being within driving distance of many popular destinations, hiking trails, and beautiful scenery. The night sky with the many bright stars was fantastic. Would love to stay again.

Peaceful Perfection

I can’t say enough good things about this place. It’s hard to pick a favorite part. The location is beautiful, and incredibly quiet and tranquil. The only visible neighbors are the cows on either side of the house, which makes it feel like you are really on your own private piece of land surrounded by the mountains. The house itself is great as well. It was very clean and well stocked. The kitchen had everything you could need for cooking/eating purposes. There is a large dining room table but we ate most of our meals at the table outside, just to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The location was great too. The house is in the middle of nowhere, but it is an easy half hour drive to get to any of the tourist activities in Granby and Kremmling. Sheena was very helpful and easy to work with. We did have one little hiccup with the house during our stay, and she went above and beyond to quickly make sure everything was taken care of to our satisfaction. Also, her family raises cattle and they have it available to purchase at the cabin. I would highly recommend grabbing a few steaks to grill up. They were terrific. Overall, this place was perfect and just what we needed for our family getaway. My kids were sad to leave on our last day. If we ever make our way out to Colorado again, I will definitely be looking up the Lost Cabin!

Great Place to Getaway with Pets

My husband and I booked this place for a vacation away from the crowd. I don’t know who loved it more. Our dog or us. The yard is HUGE and the house is prepped with most things you’ll need for a vacation.

A PERFECTLY QUIET MOUNTAIN HAVEN

We were looking for a remote, quiet, dog-friendly place to get away--the Lost Cabin was perfect. Clean, updated, great amenities. Sheena was entirely accommodating, kind, & clearly concerned with our comfort & happiness during our stay. Fun mix of ranch-style decor with a modern feel. Plenty of linens, towels, information about local activities. Great little deck to enjoy spectacular sunsets & stargazing. Very comfortable, felt at home immediately. Highly recommended!
