Quiet getaway

We had a weekend getaway so we could stop looking at the four walls of our home for a couple of days. This is in a quiet area. Condo was well-furnished, clean, and equipped with all the essentials. Balcony nice for enjoying a cup of coffee or glass of wine. Great communication with property management.

We are not the type to complain but there were a number of issues w the property. We only stayed 2 nights so we made do. The water in the house does not heat up enough to take a shower, there was rodent feces in the utility room, dead nugs, large wasp nest on the balcony, cob webs throughout, and generally unclean property. The management did not provide the gate code in advance and so it took us 30 min to even get on to the property. Quite disappointed in the whole ordeal.

We had a difficult time finding the parking space for our car, frustrating start. The first impression was that the Unit was outdated, with windows so dirty, it was difficult to see out. The blinds were broken. In the second bedroom, the broken slats caused discomfort in sleeping. The shower in the master, had no hot water. The toilet rocked when one sat on it. The sink had at one time been broken, then repaired, leaving the crack obvious. The wash machine inside was filthy. When we opened the silverware drawer, there was a part to a vacuum sitting on the silverware. The elevator wasn’t working. My sister is handicapped and this was a horrible situation. We are sorry that you were unhappy with your stay at Beach Villa. This guest demanded a discount over and over and refused our attempts to make him happy. He first complained that the towels were not satisfactory. We offered to bring him a new set of towels and he declined. We have no control over whether an elevator at the Island was temporarily out of service. The Island has multiple elevators so it is likely that another elevator was available. Many of these complaints were not mentioned during the stay so we were not given the opportunity to satisfy the guest. This review feels retaliatory since we did not give this guest a discount on his stay.

Por maintenance

Indoor Swimming pool was closed. and has been closed for several weeks according to the manager and even before I make the book I specific ask about it and I been told that it was open! Elevator 4 was down a previous day that we arrived And it was difficult with our baggage. We left the property and was still down!! This will tell about a maintenance performance. The condo was clean And it was not much to do in this place. I probably won't be back here.

We appreciate having the opportunity to provide some additional information/clarification to this review. Augustin's reservation was made on February 28th, for a March 13 check-in. At the time of the reservation, the indoor pool was open / operating correctly, however the indoor hot tub was closed, as it has been for months, as the facility works to resurface it. All of this was communicated to the guest prior to the reservation being made. On March 10, we were notified by the facility maintenance office that the indoor pool was closed due to sediment from the hot tub resurfacing. This was, regrettably, completely out of our control, as maintenance on The Island is managed by the Property Owners Association. The elevator was inoperable for 2 days during their stay. Again, we regret that this happened, however there are multiple elevators throughout the complex, and it was communicated to them that one of the elevators was inoperable. We wish that we would have been able to control these matters, but the best we could do is communicate the issues to the guest, which we did. We are pleased that the things within our control were to the guest's satisfaction. The Team at iTrip

We loved the condo - very clean and nicely decorated. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. We enjoyed all of the deer walking around the grounds - got close enough (almost) to eat out of our hands!

Beautiful secluded resort

This property is the best place to go for quiet seclusion. We really enjoyed the wildlife and the unit itself was beautiful! Upon arrival we were greeted with a pile of dog? poop on the welcome mat. It was late in the day but taken care of the next day later in the afternoon. We did briefly meet the neighbor from downstairs as my son (6 years old) ran across the floor a few times around 9:30 pm. I wonder if she has a small dog by chance? It was difficult visiting my sister who lives in Lakeway, the reason for my visit. Hopefully the Google map is updated to reflect that Lakeway Country club is NOT 5.4 miles from the unit as listed. According to Mapquest, Lakeway country club is actually 49.5 miles, which takes 1 hour to 1 hour and 18 minutes to drive. We actually ended up leaving and paying for a hotel for the last few days as the distance/travel each day was just too much. This ended up being a very expensive trip to say the least.

Our inspector was on site the morning of your arrival, making sure everything was ready for your arrival and there was definitely no animal deposits on the door mat when she left. It is definitely unfortunate that there are pet owners at The Island who don't pick up after their animals. We sent someone out the next morning to take care of it (based on the size of the deposit, which was small, it appears to have come from either a small dog or possibly a cat). Lovely listing but terrible location

We just stayed here for 4 nights. The unit was very clean and beautiful. It was fairly well stocked. For our family of 4, they provided exactly 4 bath towels and 4 small wash clothes. It would be nice to have hand towels to dry hands or hair etc. My kids enjoyed feeding the deers with the deer corn we found in the unit. The management was very responsive and came out to resolve an issue we had quickly. There wasn’t much to do on the island. We spent about 45 min walking around and exploring and that was it. There is a tennis court you can use and outdoor pools (too cold to swim now). Indoor pool was closed and the boat ramp was closed. The lake water level is very low and there are really no lake activities to be done from the island. The biggest disappointment is the location. We wanted somewhere “central” as we planned to make day trips to several state parks and hill country towns around Austin. I had searched for a lot of properties along the Colorado River, and GPS’ed rough distances to various destinations. To our surprise after our arrival, this rental property location easily added an extra 1.5-2 hours each day on the road and it added so much frustration to our trips! For those not from the Austin area, you need to know that there is absolutely no way to cross the Colorado river (no bridges) and you have to drive all around the lake every day to get anywhere south of the river. For example, the listing says it’s 20 miles from Spicewood. That may be true if you are traveling on a boat directly across. That’s totally false for driving because the GPS distance is 46 miles and 1 hour duration, just to give you an idea. For another example, we wanted to go to Pedernales Falls State Park- it’s 68 miles, 1 hours and 30 min from the rental property. Most of other rental properties I had looked at before along the other side of the lake are about 30-40 min to Pedernales. We probably spent 3 hours driving back and forth every day and it’s exhausting. We still had a decent time. We would not recommend this unit for anyone who plan to go sightseeing around Austin.

It sounds as if you enjoyed the condo itself, but were disappointed with the location and it's proximity to Austin. The listing does state that Austin is 40 miles from Lago Vista - we are sorry if that was overlooked. There is one set of towels on site per guest (bath towels, hand towels and wash cloths). We would have been happy to deliver more, had we known they were needed. The 'issue' that you refer to in your review was that someone from a neighboring condo let their small dog out and it went to the bathroom on the door mat in front of the condo you stayed in. We were there within the hour to clean this up, even though it was certainly not anything that we'd had any control over, and not what most would consider an 'issue'. We simply want to provide additional clarification on what the situation was, as when most people see the word 'issue', the immediately assume there is a problem with the unit itself. We are sorry that you were disappointed in your stay - we definitely encourage all prospective guests to ask questions prior to confirming the reservaiton, if they have specific activites they are interested in, or areas they want to visit, as we want to be sure they have appropriate expectations. Loved this condo!

Can't say enough about this condo. It was beautifully decorated (loved the floors!), very clean, kitchen had everything we needed, beds were comfortable and the 3rd-floor patio was wonderful. iTrip was great to work with and we enjoyed the nice bottle of wine, sparkling water and snacks that were left for us. We will definitely be back.

Lovely Condo

We had a wonderful time at Beach Villa. The condo is tastefully decorated, sparkling clean, and we had everything we needed during our stay (nicely-stocked kitchen). Check-in was easy and iTrip was very responsive. 5-stars.

Perfect anniversary getaway

The Beach Villa was a very nice and tastefully decorated condo. Property was welcoming and enjoyable to stroll around. Views are lovely and the deer super cute! Very quiet and relaxing weekend! The only minor issue was the gate code wasn’t working upon our initial arrival. That was quickly taken care of with no other issues for the remainder of our stay.

Great location and amenities. Everything you need and then some.

We slept 5. Me and my youngest (11) in the master bedroom. My 14 yo and her friend in the other bedroom. And my oldest (15) on the pullout. Had everything we needed.

Lovely Condo

We spent a very relaxing weekend at this lovely condo. Very clean and comfortable condo with nice view of the cove through the trees. Tastefully decorated with a fully-stocked kitchen that had everything we needed. Conveniently located very close to the elevator. Check-in was easy, had a nice welcome basket with fresh fruit, pastries, wine and sparkling water, when we arrived. Will definitely be back this summer when we can enjoy the pools.
