Location was perfect, great view and proximity to the beach. Rooms were a little tight on space but we had everything we needed for a lovely week.

The most perfect location for a vacation! We had such an amazing trip with three generations of family. Each bedroom having its own full bathroom was very convenient. This home has such a beautiful ocean view and short walk down the deck to the beach. We loved sitting on the rocking chairs and having our morning coffee. The kitchen was well stocked and allowed us to cook several meals in. Additional beach gear/toys were available which was a fun perk! The home was clean, beds were comfortable, and location of the house was very convenient to stores/activities. Responsive communication with the host who also provided such great recommendations on restaurants and things to do! Would definitely stay here again for future trips!

We had a great time! Our host was super communicative and considerate with travel tips and recommendations! Everything was clean and linens plentiful for our 6 guest, 2 night stay. Best part, the sound of waves and bountiful beach in our backyard were a blessing to wake up too every morning! Totally recommend staying if in Emerald Isle!

We loved our time here with the whole family. The house, which was recently updated, was well cared for and clean. We had enough bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone. The location was perfect with direct beach access, and we loved the relaxing porch overlooking the water with rocking chairs for the group. It felt cozy and comfortable and we all had a great time. The owner, Debbie, is great to work with and she provided us lots of suggestions for restaurants and activities. We would definitely stay here again.

August Family Vacation

Eight adults enjoyed the beachfront condo which offered privacy and comfort for all guests. Beach access, front porch rockers, we’ll planned common areas and 3 bathrooms made our selection the right one.

Perfect getaway

A nice house right on the beach. Well appointed kitchen with everything we could have needed. The dead end street has no vehicle traffic and very little foot traffic. The beach was quiet with very few people even with the public access right there. The duplex was very quiet with guests staying on the other side. Would recommend.

We loved the Catalina cottage so much. The lay out of the house was perfect for our family. The beautiful picture windows showed off the ocean perfectly. The porch and the private balcony were tge best places to hang out. And no beach trip is perfect without an outdoor shower. They have a great outdoor shower. We loved everything about the cottage. And our host, Debbie was super easy to talk to and communicated easily with us.

Awesome Beach trip

Great beachfront location and gorgeous views.... beach is steps away from the property. Enjoyed the beach during the day and the stars in the night. The host, Debbie, was very responsive and super accommodating to our requests. The whole family enjoyed the stay and will likely book again in the future,

Girls weekend at the beach!

Debbie our host was very informative and courteous. She made herself available for answering any questions that we had. Our place was well stocked with towels and sheets, clean and comfortable. It was a great location. Would love to come back again.

Absolutely loved this home. You could tell that it was well loved. The kitchen is stocked with the little things you need, like spices, and the pots/pans, dishes, etc., are well stocked. Beds are comfortable, and towels are fluffy. My suggestion, if you are traveling with teens, is to get them a bike rental. There is not much within easy walking distance, but plenty within riding distance.

Great Beach House!

We loved our stay at Catalina. Great location, great ocean views. We rented both sides and having the inside door between them made all the difference--it felt like one big house. We loved sitting on the deck watching the ocean, and cooking meals in the well-stocked kitchen. The only improvements we'd recommend is better WiFi and dressers in the King bedrooms. We hope to return next year!

Good place

Stay was good house was as described owner sent excellent email of things to do places to eat while down there which was very helpful. House was on the beach , only problem we had was sheets had not been washed on king bed had to strip and wash and towels smelled of cigarette smoke had to wash all that we used prior to using.

I am so sorry that the sheets and linens smelled like cigarettes. That is the first time that I have ever had that complaint with my laundry service. I know that your sheets in the king bedroom had been washed because I had stayed there prior to you arriving and used my own sheets out of my owners closet. The service had to put on new sheets as there were no sheets on the bed when I left. I never allow smoking in the house and am very disappointed to hear that there was an issue with the laundry service. I will check into it immediately. My cleaner had problems after your party left with the downstairs tub as someone in your party stopped up the drain with an unusual amount of sand. I had to have someone come in and flush out all of the sand that was deposited in the tub. I have never had that happen before. I think I need to post a sign to guests to please rinse off their feet with either the hose on the stairs or the outside shower. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I want my guests to have a great beach experience, but to also respect the house so that my family and future guests can the enjoy the views and the house as well. Debbie
