Amazing villa and relaxing stay

From the communication with the owners when booking through to our airport drop off everything was perfect. Ketut and Komang where very welcoming and helpful without really knowing they were there. The food on our trip was one of many highlights and Komang's cooking did not disappoint in any way. Ketut was always so helpful from suggesting places to go, driving us and being our guide along the way. The villa was very clean and we loved the layout and many spots to relax. We would will definitely stay again on our next Bali trip.

Wonderful property, in a great location, with the most beautiful people there to make your stay exceptional. Komang and Ketut are nothing short of fantastic and really do make every effort to make your time at Villa Himlebjerg releaxing and enjoyable.

Amazing Stay

Fantastic house that was even better than the photos. Komang and Ketut were absolutely amazing. Komang is a fantastic cook. We would definitely stay here again - highly recommended!

Peaceful & relaxing

We absolutely LOVED staying at this villa and would definitely return. Kamang & Ketut looked after us so well and nothing was too much trouble. We definitely recommend this beautiful villa!

Great stay

Komang and Ketut made our stay what it was… fantastic staff. The villa was very nice - spacious, solid appliances and facilities. It’s not brand new, but everything worked well. We were for over a month and didn’t want to leave !

Amazing Villa and more amazing staff!

The villa has amazing furnishings and is very luxurious. The best feature is this rental, however, was access to the chef (Komang) and driver (Ketut). They made my stay well worth it. They are both very warm and welcoming. I enjoyed getting to know them and they made me feel at home. When I return, I’ll definitely be staying here again.

Unbelievably amazing!

This property is beautiful! We were a party of 6 adults. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with kindness. The staff Komang and Katut are great. Their service was the highlight of our stay. Komang prepares delicious meals with beautiful presentation. Katut was a very knowledgeable driver/guide and did his best to arrange outings when traffic was less busy. We highly recommend this villa. The kind bed rooms are spacious, each with beautiful bathrooms. The pool area is exquisite. We spent many peaceful afternoons enjoying the pool. You will not be disappointed!

We had a great stay - thank you!

We stayed at this luxury villa in July 2017 and really enjoyed it. The housekeepers were doing a great job and everything was cleaned and looked after every day. Our special thanks to Komang and Ketut for the superb cooking and safe driving plus sightseeing suggestions. There would be lacking alot without their heart warmingly hospitality! Contact to owner family Madsen was always friendly and all questions were answered immediately. We hope to return one day!

Amazing stay!

I'm not sure where to start. What an amazing 9 days. The Balinese people are as advertised, amazing! Villa Humlebjerg is beautiful, and what a view, even better than the photos and reviews, I cannot say enough good things. Komang and Ketut are the best of the best, we never had a worry and they took care of our every need and request. On top of that, we ate in more than we ate out, the food was fabulous! You cannot go wrong here for your Bali vacation!

Unbelievable Property with incredible staff.

From the moment we got to the property until the day we left our hearts were full. Everything about this property surpassed our expectations. I think it’s incredibly important when travelling with children to have a property with closed in facilities like bathrooms and bedrooms. Also, what people don’t mention is that they spray this property for cockroaches and other insects making it VERY enjoyable. The staff at this property treat you like family and are incredible. Don’t think twice, just book this property. And if you do… Tell them Ashley says thank you!!!!

Fabulous Stay

We so enjoyed staying at this villa. The villa itself is very beautiful, spacious, and clean. There were 7 in our group, and we could all spread out in multiple comfortable space to relax, read, etc. It was very easy to communicate with Peter and Ulla. Of course, as most people have mentioned, the highlight of our stay was having Komang and Ketut take such amazing care of us! Komang is an excellent chef, and she was so willing and gracious to make us breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and all the meals were delicious! Ketut was a great tour guide and took us to beaches, sightseeing, grocery store, bank, etc. I 100% recommend this villa!

Amazing Villa in Jimbaran

We absolutely loved this place. We Even asked to extend our stay. It was very beautiful, clean and Komang and Ketut took amazing care of us. Everything is included in your stay which makes this villa ultra convenient. Komang cooked for us every night, what we requested. we gave her money for groceries and a tip. She is a very good cook. Ketut drove us wherever we needed we paid petro. Ulawatu is very close by car and Ketut drove us and picked us up. Highly recommend this villa if it is a group or family with kids. Pool and outdoor living at its finest.

Superb Holiday

We are a family aged from 11 to 77 and I can honestly say there was not one negative comment about our stay, except that it wasn’t long enough. When the children walked into the villa they said “OMG, this is the most amazing place we have ever seen”, and within 2 minutes they were in the beautiful pool. The facilities at the Villa met all our expectations with so many places to relax and chill out. This was the most amazing holiday we have had and the key was Komang providing superb meals for breakfast lunch and dinner, and Ketut providing friendly and safe transportation. Made our stay so enjoyable in so many ways. Thank you for providing a superb holiday and 50th birthday celebration. Might add that the views and sunsets were unbelievable.

Great Villa and amazing staff.

The villa was very well maintained and we could not ask for much more during our stay here. Komang was an amazing hostess and I would recommend her cooking to the fussiest guests... Every meal was great. The villa is a short travel from the Ayana Resort and Ketut was more than happy to drive us anywhere we wished to go. Komang arranged for every request we had to be met; and we were pretty much just pampered through-out the whole visit. There were some issues with air-conditioning in the Rec-Room; so playing billiards tended to be a sweaty episode; but we did play often regardless of this set-back. We would definitely recommend a stay at this villa and would gladly return for another visit.

Wonderful villa, didn't want to leave!

What an amazing villa. We only had a three night stay but the impression it left makes us want to return for a longer stay. Obvious that much attention went into the design of the villa with numerous unique and inviting sitting areas to relax and the nighttime accent lighting really is special – pictures are accurate. Location was good for us, up on a hill with the infinity pool overlooking the coastline and easy access to surrounding area. Rooms were spotless, sound of entrance water wall was so calming. Komong and her niece always ensured we were comfortable and provided delicious meals, we highly recommend the seafood feast they cooked for our last night. Ketut was so friendly and accommodating, driving us around to what seemed like every wood carving shop in Bali to help us locate a very specific item. Terima kasih Komong dan Ketut!

Bali Surf and Explore

We are a family of 4 adults that travelled to Bali to explore the temples and wildlife as well as to surf. Villa Humlebjerg on the Bukit was the perfect accommodation! Very conveniently located in the Ungasan area on a hill. It has amazing views and a great pool. The whole space is very well designed and has an open/ airy/ outdoors feel. We had the windows and doors open most of the time! But the best part about the villa was not the villa itself. The caretakers, Komang and Ketut, were so wonderful. They looked after all our needs. The best meals we had while there were cooked by Komang at the villa. We surfed every morning and came home to tasty breakfasts, and Komang's dinners were local and delicious. We can't wait to return! Thank you Peter for making such a special place.

The villa experience that just kept giving

When I booked the villa for a family holiday with our 3 adult children and their partners and our 15 month old grandson it had many features I was looking for (private pool, 4 bedrooms with ensuite etc) but I was blown away by the added extras that I discovered while communicating with the owner before arriving (pick up and drop off at airport, cot, high chair and car seat etc). The unexpected extras just kept coming when we arrived. Komang, Kutut and Purtoo anticipated our needs and responded to our requests with a smile. Nothing was a problem for them and they made our stay sensational. Komang cooked us spectacular meals on request and Kutut drove us wherever we wanted. I can absolutely recommend this villa to a group or family. We had a family trip of a lifetime (although I hope we can do it again 😀)

Luxurious, comfortable and unbelievable service

Villa Humlebjerg is, without a doubt, the best place we have stayed, without exception. Styled to perfection, the villa feels modern and spacious, whilst retaining separate areas to accommodate the differing needs of the parties staying; the well considered layout lends its to large groups. The service from Komang and Ketut was unbelievable; they were astute at providing a warm and an attentive presence whilst remaining discreet. I did not lift a finger for the entire stay, leaving us free to fully relax, confident that our every need was being met. Ketut provided an invaluable service, chauffeuring us and offering local advice and information. Komang’s cooking was fantastic and her hard work behind the scenes is evident by the cleanliness of the villa and its seamless running and day to day management. I would unreservedly recommend Villa Humlebjerg to anyone looking to holiday in Bali.

Excellent Villa for Great Stay

This villa is all that it says in the listing. Situated on high ground, it has a wonderful view of the Indian Ocean, and the sunset on a good day is magnificent. Villa was nicely cleaned everyday, and Komang the housekeeper and cook did the laundry very professionally everyday - just leave it in the laundry basket in the morning, and it comes back washed, dried and folded by the evening. She is also an excellent cook, who will prepared the meals accoriding to our needs - always delicious. And specifically for breakfast, she was on-hand early in the morning to prepare our breakfasts individually as we each came out from our rooms. Ketut is an excellent driver, who worked tirelessly to bring us wherever we wanted. He also gave excellent recommendations on where to go, in addition to what we already planned. Rooms were great, spacious, and well furnished. The master bedroom in particular was lovely - I guess that's the plus of staying in a villa that the owners designed for their own vacations!

Just amazing

Just returned from a fantastic stay at this villa in beautiful Bali. Everything about this villa is spot on from the size of the rooms ( all air conditioned ), the outside pool area, the location and nearby facilities and to top it all off, Komang and Ketut. Komang keeps the house spotless and will launder and iron any dirty washing left out, her cooking is amazing, putting her hand to Western and local cuisine impeccably. She will organise massages and a tailor to come round to measure you up and make any garment required. Ketut will drive you anywhere and was always on hand to advise on 0laces to visit and times. He mastered the hectic roads with ease. Whilst there we celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary and was blown away with flowers arranged by Komang. Overall an amazing stay at this superb villa made even more special with the treatment we received from Komang and Ketut. I would urge anybody thinking to rent this villa to do so. It may be a long way from the UK but I can easily see ourselves returning in the not too distant future. Thank you Villa Humelbjerg.

Absolute Amazing Villa and Staff! Wonderful Vacation. I Will Definitely Return to this Property.

The villa is beautiful, very clean, spacious, the pool is awesome, it's a very open and airy layout. Extremely relaxing vibe! Komang and Ketut do an EXCELLENT job caring for you as well as the villa. They make the experience in Bali Extraordinary. Komang prepared delicious meals, whatever was asked was made to order and she had many suggestions. She prepared a birthday seafood feast that was out of this world delicious. Most times we preferred eating in than out because her food is so much better. Ketut was extremely professional, accommodating, he took us wherever we wanted to go at whatever time, he had great suggestions on clubs and places to go. He kept us safe, always looking out for us, even when converting money. Hands down the villa is beautiful, the experience with the care you receive from Komang and Ketut is the real treat! The owners were equally amazing and accommodating. We arrived a day early due to the world cup happening at the time and Ulla accommodated us with no issues. The communication was fantastic, everything was seamless. We truly had the times of our lives at the villa and in Bali. We definitely will be returning to the villa. 4 bedrooms, with private bathrooms, the master suite is stunning, ac throughout, plenty of lounging and dining areas. We took advantage of the massage room and had several couples massages. The pool was comfortable and clean. The entry way was gorgeous. Fully stocked kitchen. Beautiful and clean throughout. I can't see staying anywhere else! 5 stars all the way.

*****FANTASTIC and TOTALLY AWESOME *****

OMG, this was an experience of a lifetime. You all have to stay at Villa Humlebjerg, the photos doesn't do it justice. More importantly the Ketut and Komang were amazing and we have been telling our friends/family about the top of the line service and professionalism we received. First, thank you Peter and Ulla for allowing us to check in early, we had a 23-hour flight from the U.S. and were greeted at the airport by Ketut at 2:30AM. We traveled to Bali with our 4 children (25,21,18,16) to celebrate my 50th birthday and our child's graduation from high school. Once we entered the Villa, we were warmly greeted by Komang, who provided an unexpected bouquets of flowers to me and my daughter. The master bedroom were adorned in flowers petals, which said Happy 5oth Birthday, how wonderful. The Villa was spotless everyday and Komang washed and ironed our laundry everyday. Believe me, a family of 6 can rack up some laundry. Thank you! They treated us like family. My Instagram obsessed daughters, took many photos of the pool, sunsets, breakfast by the pool, and dinners. Komang's cooking and food presentation is bar none and the quality is definitely 5-star. I could literally write several paragraphs, but you get the picture. Ketut, was equally amazing and drove us around Bali, selected tours that my family enjoyed and provided a history and cultural information about this beautiful place. My only advise is to immediately rent Villa Humlebjerg : )

We are a couple in the mid seventies, who have lived in Australia for the last 40 years original from Denmark. We have 2 sons both married and 3 grandsons which all love to come to Bali. Peter is an engineer and have his own consulting engineering company in Brisbane where one of our sons also work. We love this second home we have created in Bali where we are spending any free time we have often together with the whole family.

We had friends who had bought at the 'Bukit' they talked a lot about how a fantastic a spot it was . It made us travel to Bali and have a look at it. We just fell in love with the view and decided to buy. It was first going to be build which would take a year. We have not regretted it and the whole family love to spend there holidays there.

We love the final result of the house, I have had so much fun decorating it , all the furniture are purposed made for the villa, lots of thoughts and details has gone into it. My big passion was finding antiques from around Indonesia to suit the house which I still do every time we are in Bali. We are very happy with the result and hope our the guests who stays in the villa will appreciate it. It is really like another world when you walk into the villa . We have a lovely live in Balinese couple Ketut and Komang who are looking after the house and make the stay very enjoyable and relaxing, Komang is an excellent cook. They can help you in arranging trips, tours, massages or anything else you need.
