We would like to address the implication that we in some way deceived the reviewer with regards to our condo specifically: “Before renting it, I asked if there were screens on the windows, since I like to use natural air flow and not air conditioning. The owner replied that there were screens, but neglected to mention that two of the three bedrooms had no windows to the outside, and the third had only one. So, there was no possibility of air flow in the bedrooms and it was necessary to use air conditioning. I felt somewhat deceived”. We endeavor to answer all questions from potential guests as honestly and as accurately as possible. However, regrettably we can only directly address the queries as they are put to us. The following are the pertinent questions as they were put to us and our reply: Questions (via VRBO): On 8/18/2015: ”1. Are there screens on windows and sliders and opening to the deck? We prefer to cool with ocean breezes if possible. 2. what is the extra charge for use of the living room air conditioner?” And on 8/19/2015: “Can we wait to see on the living room air conditioner? It will depend upon whether we need it. From your description, we may not.” Responses (via VRBO) on 8/18/2015: “Yes, we have screens on all windows and doors also. Indeed there is a very nice wind blowing through the condo when the front door and patio are opened. The extra charge for the living room air conditioner is $100/week.” And on 8/19/2015: “ It would be no problem at all to wait and decide about the living air conditioner until you get to Bonaire.” We feel this was an accurate and honest answer to the query put to us. Had we been asked directly about the bedrooms, we would have of course stated that although two of the bedrooms have no windows to the outside, they are indeed cooled by air conditioning. Regarding the issue about the maximum of 8 hours of air conditioner use per day, we offer air conditioning in the bedrooms to provide a comfortable sleeping environment. As mentioned above, there is a pleasant through breeze during the day when the patio and front doors and/or main bedroom window are opened. For those who still prefer air conditioner in the living room, it is possible to do so at an additional cost. As the reviewer asked, we mentioned that the extra charge for the living room air conditioner is $100/week and it would be no problem at all to wait and decide about the living air conditioner until you get to Bonaire.

Dear Alex We are very pleased that you found our condo very delightful and relaxing, except for schlepping the diving gear up and down the stairs. We are not sure if you were aware that we do have a private diving storage area near the parking lot and you could have kept your diving gear in the storage area so you would not need to bring your gear up to the apartment. We would post a note about the diving storage area so our future guests will not be similarly inconvenienced. We hope to see you again in Bonaire. Corinne

We are sorry to hear that you found the mattress too firm. To help rectify this issue, we have just brought a mattress topper with us to Bonaire for those who prefer a softer mattress.
