Although in a peaceful beautiful environment the villa is only 5 mins from Grasse, 10 min from the beautiful hill village of Valbonne with many restaurants and 30 mins from Cannes and Nice. There is a beautiful golf course in Opio about 5 minutes drive away and a Club Med holiday resort that offers a daily rate if you would like to use their facilities including health spa, large swimming pool, tennis courts, and restaurants. There is also a tennis club in Opio just down the road and several fitness studios. For the ardent shoppers Cannes, Nice and a huge shopping complex known as Cap 3000 and Polygon are all within half an hour's drive and all have a wonderful selection of the latest fashions in clothes and other goods. All around are great hiking possibilities and there is a paragliding school near Gourdon about 10 mins drive away. There are plenty of boating, sailing and canoeing possibilities in all the sea resorts close by including Lac St Cassien in the mountains of the Tanneron. There are several popular Ski resorts within 2-4 hours drive away .Art can be found everywhere in the hills, villages, and towns and it is a sightseer's photographic paradise.. There are a number of painting and drawing schools close by and plenty of dance schools for ballroom dancing and salsa classes. For those on a healing retreat, I have many contacts for health food shops, bio dance and meditation classes, massage, and other healing practitioners and seminar possibilities. There is even an excellent French college in Cannes that has very good rates and runs courses all year round.
