Great Stay in ABQ

Beautifully decorated and very spacious rental property. The attention to detail and personal touches make this place a must stay for families traveling to the area. Location is also perfect for quick runs to the market or nearby restaurants. We will definitely stay again if availlable during our next visit.

Great Location

The house was very nice and clean. It had a nice private backyard, but no outdoor grill which would have been nice. Great location—very close to restaurants and tourist attractions. We had a little trouble with the nesting thermostat, but probably because we didn’t understand how to work it. The living room couch was a bit uncomfortable for us, but overall a very nice place to stay.

Nice location

Carl was a wonderful host! The location was great and the neighborhood was quiet. The place was much smaller than anticipated for a group of 7 and felt a bit cramped. Since we were not there much, that did not bother us. However the floors were so dirty our feet turned black when walking barefoot or in socks. The blinds were super dusty too. Bathrooms, linens and kitchen super clean. Overall a nice stay!

Fantastic Place

Our stay was very good at this VRBO. Contact with the owner was easy and they responded quickly with the minimal issues we had. Pool is right behind the backyard, and it was usually empty, and we had it to ourselves the times we went. House was smaller than I anticipated, but it was more than enough room for the 4 of us when we were there and not out sight-seeing. Would have liked to have been able to add apps to the Vizio TV in the living room so we could have watched our AT&T TV, but the TV's in the bedrooms accommodated this. Owner also gave us recommendations of places to see and visit during our stay which was appreciated. Overall, we were very happy with our experience and would definitely stay here again!

The place worked well for 3 adults and one child. Quiet and close to everything. Well stocked with garage, pool and laundry. Communication with Carl was fantastic. The only reason I couldn’t give it a 5 was for cleanliness. Outdoor area needed a cleaning - Cobb webs around and grill. Inside the light over the table needed a cleaning. Pool was brought to the attention of the HOA. The 2nd time we used it, it was perfect.

Stay at the Plaza in Albuquerque

Overall, we had a decent stay at The Plaza. The hosts were very communicative and welcomed feedback. There were a few items that were not working properly during our stay, but the owners are already addressing these issues. I would have liked to have known upfront that the home was a condo, as I don’t think it was the best set up for us personally. We are usually visiting with family when we come to NM, and one evening we got a call regarding noise even though it was only about 8:30pm—noisy children just being kids. As someone who lives in a row home, I get it, but it also made it difficult to fully enjoy our stay, as I was constantly worried the little ones were being too noisy. There were also a few things that could have been cleaned better—like I noticed the couch seemed to not been moved when cleaning and a carpet upstairs looked like it had dog hair in it still. The neighborhood was quiet, as others have described and was in a good location, though the community definitely seemed older and may not be the most appropriate for families.

Nice Place but Smaller than Expected - Owner Very Helpful!

We had a reunion of 5 senior adults and found the living room small and not enough comfortable seating for all. The chairs while attractive were not comfortable. The pull out couch was very uncomfortable for sleeping which is not unexpected since most are but could be improved by a good topper. The dining room bar stools were not comfortable for our group of seniors which included two disabled persons. The upstairs master bath is tiny which cannot be fixed without a remodel. The upstairs bedrooms were good sized. Lots of linens were provided which we appreciated, as well as plenty of kitchen items and laundry supplies. The owner was very responsive in fixing a couple of issues for us right away which we certainly appreciated. The access to the pool through the backyard was not usable for our senior group, but we were able to easily drive there - just around the block. Fyi - access to the pool requires navigating steps, which was difficult for one in our party. We enjoyed several afternoons lounging in the pool!

We took a little "staycation" just for a change of scenery and to use the pool!

We found the townhouse to be perfect for our needs. It was immaculate and very pretty, exactly as pictured. Our son especially enjoyed the outdoor pool and watching the 70-inch television. Very nice, quiet community.

Just Right

Were were quite pleased upon our arrival, the rental looked exactly as it did in the pictures, and functioned as such as well. We were on our own for the first 6 nights and we have to be honest, it was a quiet haven and were surprised how quiet it was. The complex itself is close to everything and easy ins an outs with two entrances made it also accessible. It will be nice to have access to the pool in summer if that is something you enjoy. The complex is also quiet. Two minor cleaning issues, but nothing that was a deal breaker. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and would be happy to return. Plus it is a 10 minute walk from my sisters, so that helped trremendously.

Comfortable for 7 people

We stayed at the property for a long weekend. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were very clean. The floors looked clean, but as we walked around, there must have been some hidden grime that left our feet dirty so we just wore shoes. The kitchen could use a few more items, like a mixing bowl, a serving bowl or two and a pizza cutter. There was a good selection of spices stocked in the kitchen and that was nice! The beds slept 7 comfortably but 8 would be a stretch. It would work if two people didn't mind sleeping together on the roll out couch. Thankfully, one in our party ended up staying with cousins so everyone was able to rest.

Modern and comfortable

The house was as pictured - light filled, modern, clean, well appointed - and the host was very responsive to all questions and requests. We will definitely rent from Irvie homes when we are back in town again.

Perfect Location

We took off for a nice family vacation and in the middle of it our ski resort plans were terminated, along with a number of restaurants, bars, etc. Carl gave us a number of alternative options such as hiking, and downtown shopping ideas. This place was nice, cozy, and perfectly located near everything. In the midst of COVID-19 we still had a great trip and maximized our time together. Thank you Carl for being a great host.

The Plaza was purchased in 2019 and went through a complete remodel with the sole purpose of being a short term rental. We designed the home from top to bottom to be warm, hospitable, and loaded with lots of technology.

When you stay at The Plaza you can expect to have a relaxing vacation in a beautiful home. The property is centrally located in Albuquerque's NorthEast Heights and is surrounded by shopping, restaurants, and amusements.
