Hello Thierry, I am so sorry you found the mattress could have been far better. We replaced the mattress about 4 months ago and we use only hotel grade mattresses for each of our apartments. We decide on the type of mattress based on guest feedback - most feedback has been that our mattresses are wonderful. Other feedback is 'too hard' or 'too soft'. Aly hello It was a joy and a delight to have you here as a guest and I am still in awe of your graciousness and generosity of spirit. I'm thrilled that you felt so comfortable and safe here, and that you found the facilities so welcoming. I also appreciate enormously what you experienced about the sheets/towels etc because we do take care to provide the best - sheets and pillow cases are ironed, towels, steam-cleaned etc. As I mentioned to you when you were here, from my 4 years experience as a host and from my 18 years experience in the field of psychology, reviews often say as much about the reviewer as they speak about the property. In your case, my feeling is that your review really speaks about you and your graciousness and open-heartedness. Hi Gabriella It was a pleasure having you and your mother staying with us and I'm thrilled that you seem to have had such a wonderful time. You have taken effort to write a full review - thank you for having done so. Everything that you have written is detailed and is extremely positive and I believe it reflects accurately on what it is we offer. I am delighted that coming guests will get to know so much about the studio through your review which is so comprehensive and so very positive. I'd have to say that I was deeply disappointed that you only rated us 4 stars instead of 5, especially given the positive experiences you had. You talk about the studio as having everything a guest needs, of high quality and you talk of my responsiveness as a host. As you said about me, I am indeed responsive and I care a lot about our guests' experiences and comfort - and in your case, I responded at about 1.00am to your urgent message that you had a spider you wanted removed from the room. That is not usually my purview but given your mother's fears, I got dressed, came down and attended to it right away even though it was in the dead of night. Australia is not Sweden and we do have the occasional huntsman spider - completely harmless - depending on the weather. And so, yours is now the only 4 star rating which we have. All the others are 5 star ratings. It does sting a bit given the circumstances and the effort we put into each booking and I wonder what you would have required to give a 5 star rating? But I have learned one thing. Reviews say as much about the reviewer as they say about the property. As, indeed, my response to you says a lot about me.
