We chose Carvoeiro because it offers the perfect mix of charm, scenery, and relaxation. Unlike some of the larger resorts, Carvoeiro still feels like a traditional Portuguese village — with whitewashed buildings, friendly locals, and a laid-back vibe that’s hard to find elsewhere.
The coastline here is stunning, with dramatic cliffs, hidden beaches, and walking trails that never get old. We love starting the day with a coffee in the village square, heading to one of the nearby beaches, and enjoying fresh seafood in the evening.
It’s also a great base for golf, day trips, and exploring the Algarve — but just as enjoyable if you’d rather stay put and unwind.
