This was a great little spot to enjoy family. Close to the beach, fun, quiet location, everything is there from towels, to cooking on the grill. Clean, and the owner was very super nice. Hope to come back again in November.

This little fishing cabin is cute and the perfect size for coming back to at night to sleep in. Not a lot of room to hangout in during the day. The beds had dirt in them when we shook out the sheets and most of the silverware/dishes had food on them. There is a six foot long “decorative” saw in the living room and the curtain coverings are covered in fish hooks…not a little kid friendly property.

Perfect for a family with kids

The cabin is set up perfectly for a family with kids/teens . One bedroom has a queen bed and the other two twin bunkbeds. We had a playpen for a toddler & put it in the living room since the rooms are a tight fit but it really wasn't a problem. It actually worked out better because it was cold and the heater is in the living room. The bedrooms did have individual acs for future reference as well. We never used the stove but it did say to turn the gas tank on outside to do so. The kitchen was fully stocked with dishes and utensils which is great there was even salt/pepper etc. There were plenty of towels and extra blankets also. i actually left a makeup bag there by mistake Sunday morning and when I called Monday morning the home owner said the housekeeper did turn it in. I haven't gotten it back yet but its good to know she turned it in. We will be staying here again

Almost perfect

Everything was perfect. I love the house would definitely rent again but the only downside it was advertised about fishing on the pier but they didn't tell us it was only for residents plus you have to have a card to access.

This house is absolutely amazing. We came in on a Monday and left on Friday. We have been coming to Rockport for over 20 years and one of my favorite houses. The owner Steve is amazing and called me when we had an issue with the refrigerator. The only 2 draw backs we had on the trip was the trash cans (outside) were full from the previous guest and they never got dumped so we were just piling our trash on top of theirs. The second draw back was the nosy neighbor who sat on the porch and watched everything that we did outside. The beds were comfortable and the house had great television service and internet service. What a steal for the price ! Will be back

Tidy Home near Rockport

My family and I came to stay so that we could go visit Rockport and the Texas State Aquarium in Corpus Christi, and we really enjoyed our stay. Super tidy home near all the things we wanted to visit.

Perfect for what we needed!

We were only in the house to pretty much sleep and shower. We had a few issues like the Wi-Fi was out and the TV didn’t pick up any stations (probably due to wifi), but that wasn’t a big deal. We did appreciate the fact that there was an electric griddle. It saved me from having to lug one down like I normally do. The griddle made making breakfast super fast and easy before we headed out on the water. The bunk beds were comfortable and so were the couches. We didn’t use the queen bed since we had some friends that had an emergency situation that caused them to have to back out last minute. Other than that the stay was perfect and easy to get to.

Wonderful place

This was a wonderful find. Beautiful home, equipped, really nice, clean and stocked kitchen & bathroom. Two TV's a plus for kids of different age groups. A little out of Rockport but a steal for the price at Spring break. Cant beat it! Will definitely come back !!

Pros and Cons

Property decorations were cute. Well equipped but would have been nice if it had a dish washer. Main room furniture was comfortable but arms on sofa and chairs did not feel clean. Would be nice to have covers on the arms so they didn't feel oily from prior fishermen. Toilet was meant for smaller people.

House was fine property management is terrible.

The house is fine, it actually had a few great items for cooking and making coffee. If you plan on getting away with your boys and having a good time I would not recommend this place. Apparently the owner lives down the street and watches every thing that you do. The property management company Evolve is terrible. I will not ever rent another home they manage. I had a pet the property is pet friendly. I assumed the extra fees they charged covered the pet. It did not That was an additional charge . I have told them on 4 different occasions to please run my cc for the additional charge but for some reason 5 days later I am still be harassed with email about the pet deposit.

Would not recommend

This place appears nice from the listing. Nothing could be further from the truth. Could not get the heater to work. Could only stay one night due to extremely cold temperature in the house. Beds were miserably hard and uncomfortable. All three adults had to sleep in bunk beds because master bed felt like a box spring. Called property manager to get advice on heater and was told "it is straight forward up or down". That is not the case. We know how to work a standard ac/heater. All three of us messed with it to no avail. Shower curtain in bathroom has no liner. Water goes straight thru it onto the floor making a mess. The place was clean and there are plenty of linens. Thank goodness for that. Otherwise, no way we would have made it through one night. Called VRBO and they worked with us on the ordeal. We are suppose to be getting our money back for the night we did not stay. Hopefully, that happens.

Hi Molly, the homeowner has asked us to share this response: - I am not sure why your group had issues with the heater. It is a simple system and is a newer model, so guests do not have to choose heat or A/C. You simply point the remote at the unit and select the temperature you desire. - I am sorry that you had a restless night. Unfortunately, this was the coldest night we’ve had in Texas in quite some time. - After I received your message that you had spent a cold night, I offered to discount your second night so you could stay as planned since you now had instructions for the heater, but I found out you had already left early that morning. - Everyone’s taste is different in beds. I personally sleep better in these beds than I do at my primary residence, but I'm sorry the mattress was not to your preference. I am glad that you found the house clean and had lots of linens for your use. Thanks for staying with us.

Excellent location

We were wanting to stay near Rockport, so Holiday Beach is awesome. Two adults, a teenager, and a child. The bunk beds were great but the queen bed is hard as a rock. The living room is perfect size. Great little place for a family.

Although it was very hot outside, it was super cool in the house. I would bring a coffeemaker if you drink coffee. It was a small 4 cup coffeemaker.
