Entspannen Sie nach der Zubereitung des Abendessens in der mit allen modernen Geräten (Kühlschrank, Mikrowelle, Elektroherd) ausgestatteten Küche am Glasofen mit langsamer Verbrennung und lokalem Wein.

Saturna ist ein Meisterwerk aus Lehmziegeln und Holz und basiert auf dem Prinzip der passiven solaren Erwärmung (umweltfreundlich). Es ist in eklektischer Architektur erbaut, skulpturale und handwerkliche Oberflächen stehen im Vordergrund.

Das große, lichtdurchflutete Hauptschlafzimmer befindet sich im Zwischengeschoss und bietet Blick auf den Wombat State Forest. Es bietet bequem ein Queensize-Schlittenbett und einen an der Wand montierten Flachbildfernseher.

Das zweite Queen-Schlafzimmer von Saturna befindet sich neben dem Wohn- / Küchenbereich. Eine Reihe von Französisch Türen öffnet sich aus dem Raum auf eine private Terrasse und Garten. Das zweite Schlafzimmer verfügt über einen Flachbild-TV und einen DVD-Player.

Zum Essen stehen im Saturna 3 große Tische zur Verfügung. Es gibt einen großen handgefertigten Tisch mit 12 Sitzplätzen neben dem Grillbereich und einen weiteren großen Tisch mit 8 Sitzplätzen unter Deck. Der Esstisch im Inneren ist ein 6-Sitzer.

Es gibt ein großes Badezimmer mit einer Dusche über einer halben Badewanne.

Zum Heizen kümmert sich der Kamin mit langsamer Verbrennung auf Wunsch um alle Ihre Bedürfnisse.

Saturna hat auch Split-System-Heizung und Klimaanlage.

Saturna kann mit Salt Spring kombiniert werden und bietet Platz für fünf Paare mit fünf großen Schlafzimmern, zwei Innenbädern, zwei Küchen, einem großen Wohnbereich, einer Außenbadewanne / -dusche, umfangreichen Sitz- und Essbereichen im Freien und einem privaten Whirlpool im Hauptbereich Deck durch Treppe Zugang zwischen beiden Eigenschaften verbunden.

Kostenloser Wein bei der Ankunft für mehrere Übernachtungen.

Wir akzeptieren nur zwei Übernachtungen am Wochenende.

Tranquil getaway

An excellent weekend away with another couple. We enjoyed the spa which was already set and stayed hot so we could get in morning and night. The outdoor area was great for board games and the house was comfortable. I’d stay here again.

Stunning getaway

Satura is absolutely everything you would want! The hot tub is the stand out, love everything about it. The stunning art and plants surrounding the property makes it feel like a different place. So peaceful and tranquil. A returning guest of many times and hopefully many in the future. Thanks for an amazing stay once again! ☺️

Hi Frances, We're sorry for the late reply. Stayz is new to guest reviews and doesn't notify us when reviews are published. We're sorry you found Saturna's bed uncomfortable. We do not wish to negate your experience but we slept in it quite recently and found it as we have remembered it. Quite comfortable verging on luxuriousness. It is not firm but it has a pillow top on it for extra comfort. It definitely doesn't sag. People ask us where to get the mattress in question constantly. Saturna has a lot of light switches due to the multiple levels. Sometimes when one switch is off the upstairs or outside light may not turn on in regards to the outside lght. Our manager Sally test lights before all bookings and leaves them on for guests. We're fairly certain that generally speaking all our lights are checked and replaced. kind regards Dave and Cherie

Nice

It was much smaller than photos gave the impression. Spa was good, beds comfortable. Some lights were not working Not enough firewood for 2 nights and a bit chilly. An animal at some chocolate left on the bench. I have a photo if you'd like to see.

We guess as to how much wood will be needed during your stay...it's hard to guess. But more is nearby and we would of gladly directed you to more. But you didn't call me. A place to get your creative juices flowing

A wonderful quaint mud brick abode with gorgeous stain glass windows, creative garden sculptures, the lovely warm spa, and the lofted bedroom , the perfect setting for a relaxing getaway. It was a hassle free experience from start to finish, would highly recommend a stay here, will definitely be coming back. I wish it was for sale 😉

Great place to stay in Daylesford

We loved the location of Saturna and how cool the house was over a hot period of time in summer. The Mill Markets are just over the road and there are lovely and peaceful bush surrounds.

Dear Tony, We are learning all the time from our guests and the sharing of your experience is really helpful for us to provide the best possible service. I have to say that in all the years we have had our place available for rent the extreme heat at the time you stayed has never been experienced. With the unprecedented heat wave at the time of your stay it's important for us to take stock of the amenities and how they cope and make adjustments where necessary. Going forward, we can now anticipate and prepare by offering the bedroom on the lower floor during extreme weather and upgrade the fan. Thank you for creating this amazing place. I have been coming to the region for over 20 yrs and this is the best. Relaxed, beautiful so wonderfully appointed but not uptight.The stimulating artwork and garden art at every turn was wonderful. Squee moments everywhere. ;) Great location too! I have one thing to request.......could you put a little book of the history of this house and the amazing artists for a read along with the guest book as I really would love to read on my next stay by the fire. Thank you for a wonderful place.

Absolutely gorgeous.

Our stay was amazing. Bed was super comfy, loved the fire and of course the spa... and being on perfeft temp when we arrived was glorious. Such a great location... seems so out of town, yet only 2mins from the centre. Thank you very much Cherie and Dave, we will be back.

Very Cosy - but..................

We very much enjoyed our stay in this quaint and cosy little cabin. Our time on the deck and in the spa were great fun!! The one short coming of the property is it's location, and this is not mentioned anywhere in the description. It sit right above the main road and is quite nosy. If this is of no concern you will thoroughly you your time here, if it does.............

Hi Ron, We're glad you enjoyed your stay. Without wanting to negate your experience the locale of the midland highway is not quite as close as you have reported nor is the traffic noise excessive. We are on a plateau(TableHill) above the highway but our property is setback about 100 metres from the road. We built and then lived in Saturna for many years and raised our children there. At no stage did the traffic noise disturb them. In the house you cant hear it all and on the decks the occasional vehicle is barely noticeable. We note that most houses in Daylesford have roads in their proximity and especially those that are close to town such as ours. Our house is different in that your only neighbors are kangaroos and other denizens of the forest! We feel the manner in which we advertise our property is fair and accurate. AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL RETREAT

The property was absolutely gorgeous inside and out. Perfect design for a romantic retreat, with lush gardens, hot tub and loft bedroom. We took our 2 children (3 yrs and 1 yrs) who loved sleeping together in the lounge room. We were very impressed with the artwork displayed both inside and out of the property, it created a fabulous atmosphere but was still relatively child friendly. Our kids enjoyed mastering the spiral staircase and discovering the hidden artworks in the garden and we enjoyed lounging in the spa each night or watching movies on the flat screen in the loft bedroom whilst the kids napped. If you are looking for a place to stay that is more than just a house, then this is the place for you.
