Dana, we did not see your message through the booking platform thus why you had no response. However, you did call our office on numerous occasions where we offered to help in any way we could and more than half of your review was never mentioned when you spoke with us on the phone. Firstly, with regard to the bathroom lock the owner has said this was an error on their part. But the rest of the locks in the unit are non-keyed. At the time when you rang about the locks we offered to get a locksmith but you didn’t want to wait for a locksmith. At the time of your stay it had been raining for weeks meaning insects (cockroaches and ants) could not be avoided. This entire building has a pest spray annually, but with the bad weather they tend to find their way inside. The oven situation was very unfortunately but beyond our control. We did everything we could to get the new oven installed in time for your booking but the appliance company couldn’t get the stock, which is something that everyone is experiencing Australia wide. It’s very unfortunate about the smoke alarms but at the time with the high humidity there were quite a few smoke alarms going off at properties which again is out of our control, but I understand this would have been annoying. After you vacated the owner attended to the following items: - New oven installed - Lock taken off bathroom door - Smoke alarms all changed - Bathroom door repaired (after being kicked in) It is disappointing that the owner has received a review like this on their property as most of these things were completely our of our control. If this ever occurs please call the agency and we will arrange the cleaner to come back to the property to clean. Unfortunately we cannot control nature so when cockroaches die in units in between cleans it is out of our control. This property was not advertised with air-conditioning..
