Everything you need

Nice place for two families to share. Loads of bath towels, comfortable beds, stocked kitchen and washer and drier. Just a shirt drive to the beach and grocery store. We'd definitely return.Only thing missing is a dining table to eat together, but there are plenty of places to sit.

Weekend getaway

We had a wonderful trip although it was short and cold this place was a perfect place for our two families to join together in one home. It was very comfortable and clean. Definitely would recommend as the location is a great spot by whitecap beach.

Mom's 80th Birthday

We came to celebrate my mom's 80th birthday and it had been a long time since we have been to Texas beaches. It was short and it started off rainy but we had a fabulous time spending time with each other. This house provided us the space we needed for our stay. There were 7 adults, a toddler, an infant, and a 9 year old. The owner was very easy to get a hold of if we needed to and we did not - so that is a win. Thank you Mattye for providing a space for my family to make precious memories!

Weekend trip

We got this place because my daughter’s baby shower. Lots of family and we wanted more then a hotel room. Lets start with the area this place is located. I loved it. It was secluded and quiet. Plenty of space and it felt like a great beach house. Plenty of pots, pans etc.. to feed and eat. If you run hot sleep upstairs if you run cold sleep down stairs. The fact that they provided dishwasher detergent and laundry pods for the washer and dryer amazing. Really so close to the beach and the pool was perfect. Only thing I have to say is. I would like early check in and a late check out. We did ask to check in early and they were more then willing. I never got the response for the check out. I want to book again at the end of summer. 5 out of five.

Home away from home

The Blue Moon Cottage was a perfect home away from home for my husband and our 4 kids (5,8,12,14) We assumed atleast one of the older kids would complain about something, lol, but everyone absolutely loved the house. It was warm and inviting and clean, exactly like the pictures. Perfect for us to come back and chill after a long, hot day at the beach! Our 5 and 8 year old absolutely loved the bunk bed room. It was such a neat set up. They loved the stairs to the top bunk and set up blankets and made the little nook into a fort. When I got there, I was bummed to realize that I forgot our box fan for the littles to sleep, but found one to use in the closet…score!! The place was well stocked with cooking utensils and pots and pans. Mattye was a wonderful, sweet and helpful host from the get-go. I had a bit of trouble finding the right condo after a 4 hour drive, but she called and guided me in the right direction. Mattye and her family have been running their business for 8 years and clearly love what they do. Thank you for the great stay Blue Moon, we will definitely be back for another beach trip!

Disappointed

I was very disappointed that what we payed for wasnt what we were given. I payed for a 4 ved room condo and we were given a 3 bedroom and when we talked to the owner she lied continuously stating that we were wrong and that there was nothing she could do about it although J knew she was lying and vrbo agrees with me cause this app tried to help me but theu couldn't reach the owner. What dk you know. My uncle and his family who were to join us the following day ended up not coming because their room that they payed for wasnt available..one of the tenants at the condo who was very nice and helpful told us that there was 4 and 5 bedroom condos available but we got screwed.

Absolutely perfect!

Such a great time! Everything was stocked enough to make meals. Everyone had somewhere to sleep, beds were comfortable. Enjoyed the washer/dryer unit. Made it so much easier to keep clothes clean/dried. Kitchen is fully equipped. Didn’t have to go to store to run errands. They did have ice cubes containers which was great. Pool just right around the corner, kids had a great time. TV in each room. Outside patio has a bench to sit on. Plenty of areas to sit. Can’t complain. Love the fact they had a water hose in back to we rinse sand toys/items. Beach was less 5 mins away. Host was very attentive and responded quickly. Absolutely made things easier. We did have a total of 4 vehicles. Glad there is 2 reserved spots, and other 2 parked in guest area, street, and cul de sac area. Do not try parking behind building closeby. We did get a sweet note on windshield that if our car wasn’t moved by 10am, it will be towed. Moved right away. Overall great stay! We all had a great time!! Thank you so much!

Felt like home on vacation!

This is our first time to stay in a VRBO and it was a pleasant surprise. We were visiting Padre Island for a family vacation that included my 75+ year old parents, my husband and I (55 yo), my 3 grown children (30+) and my 2 grandchildren aged 3 and 20 months. This home was perfect for us. The pool was a big draw due to its toddler friendly design. The drive to the beach was minimal. The house was well stocked with everything we needed to prepare part of our meals while staying for 3 days. The air conditioning works extremely well (much cooler upstairs than downstairs) but a small fan made all the difference. It was quiet despite close proximity of other units. The televisions in all the bedrooms was a nice touch and the ability to use our phones or iPads to AirPlay was very nice. We were a little confused about the Murphy bed that was listed but not show on the website but soon found it was a full memory foam mattress with a wooden bed frame that is stored in the master bedroom downstairs. My grown son decided to lay this on the full size couch pullout in the living room. My 3 yo grand daughter loved the “special bed” top bunk bed. The manager was nice to offer us a high chair and pack n play for our 20 month old grandson. We were happy to find that the unit had a Keurig as well as a coffee pot. Overall, we have a fantastic stay and would highly recommend this rental. The manager was easy to contact and started answering all of my questions months in advance.

Just Okay

Rental process was super easy and everything went the way as the property owner/manager advised. I gave this review a just okay because there was nothing spectacular about the property itself. Furniture was dated and there could be some upgrades. The biggest disappointment was the bed in the Master bedroom. It felt more like an air mattress and was super low to the ground. I don’t consider myself old, but I do have back issues, and that bed did not help my back at all. Please get a real mattress and box spring.

Great place to stay!

We really enjoyed staying at this gorgeous place! The townhouse was just a minute drive to the beach and we were about 2 seconds from the property pool. We had a little family reunion on this trip and we are definitely looking forward to visit again! I highly suggest this property. The host is also very helpful and responsive!

Very cute, modern, and clean beach house that is bigger than it looks!

We are a large family (2 adults and 10 kids) that needed a place to stay on Corpus Christi over Christmas break. It's difficult to find a place for a reasonable price that is in decent shape that can fit our entire family. Blue Moon cottage was a gorgeous beach house that comfortably slept our brood. We enjoyed using the kitchen and the beds were all very comfortable. The condo is close to the beach and downtown Corpus Christi is just a short drive away. Highly recommend it!!

Perfect Beach Getaway!

This is a beautiful home that comfortably accommodated my 10 person party. Each person had a nice place to sleep. There are TVs in each room which gave us great flexibility with TV entertainment during down time. The pool was close to the room and a huge hit for the kiddos. The beach was only a mile away, so getting there and back was easy and done without hassle (on Memorial Day weekend!) The owner (Mattye) was very responsive and super nice. I highly recommend this place for both large and small groups.
