Villa Spencer wurde auf dem Anwesen des Barons von Wykerslooth erbaut und ging 1982 in den Besitz des Grafen von Althorp über, der Vater der verstorbenen Prinzessin Diana, die hier Urlaub verbrachte.
Das Anwesen befindet sich im Dorf Le Bar sur Loup, einem charmanten und authentischen französischen Dorf mit einem Schloss, kleinen Boutique-Hotels, Restaurants und Geschäften. Das Le Bar sur Loup ist 40 Autominuten vom Flughafen Nizza, 7 Minuten von Chateauneuf, 20 Minuten von Valbonne, 15 Minuten von Grasse, 25 Minuten von Mougins und 30 Minuten von Cannes entfernt.
Villa Spencer ist ein ruhiges, makelloses, praktisches Hotel mit einer warmen familiären Atmosphäre. Es profitiert von einer atemberaubenden Aussicht und den wunderschön angelegten Terrassengärten mit Oliven- und Orangenbäumen.

Wonderful villa for all the family

Fabulous villa in a beautiful area. The best part for us was the heated pool which was used daily, even on the days when the weather wasn't so warm. The family all enjoyed it. Communication was great throughout our stay

GREAT PROPERTY IN A NICE AREA

We had a wonderful time in Villa Spencer. The house is really nice and comfortable and we have also appreciated the lovely garden, the pool house and the sport facilities. The view is just amazing! Idyllic perfection

We loved Villa Spencer…from the gorgeous building to the large grounds to explore…fantastic pool and tasteful decor. Nohra has thought of everything in this place with the little touches making all the difference Having a choice of outside spaces to eat was a treat & we loved having fresh figs from the trees in the morning! Heavenly Villa

Apparently guests all say this is a special place where a sense of wellbeing hits you upon arrival certainly that was our experience. Spacious, luxurious yet homely and inspiring - particularly the spectacular view. Great for activities, outdoor dining and fireside games. Drop down to Valbonne, Grasse and Cannes and a wide choice of super restaurants - or entertain in the Villa - or just chill in the yoga garden. Recommended!! Robert.

What a wonderful holiday!

It was hard to believe that the house and views could be as stunning as the pictures, but they most certainly were! The house has been finished to the highest standard and has everything you would possibly need. The area is very quaint and as long as you book restaurants in advance, there is enough in the village to keep you busy for a week. We did get bitten a lot, so I would recommend stocking up on bug spray etc. Nohra was very accommodating and helpful with our booking and answering any questions along the way. Would thoroughly recommend!

Villa Spencer is Lovely

Great location. Beautiful property. The drive is not for the feint of heart, with lots of narrow back roads and tight switch-backs to navigate. Once there, it’s gorgeous with an incredible view. Our only issues: as Americans, it’s always surprising to learn that paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap, soap/shampoo etc. must all be brought by the guest. We do realize this is customary in parts of Europe, but shopping for laundry detergent isn’t the ideal way to start a vacation. The only other gripe was again not the fault of the property owner, but with temperatures in the 90’s, and with a full house of guests, several bedrooms were miserably hot and doors and windows couldn’t be left open because of the insufferable mosquitos. That said, the kitchen, the outdoor table, the pool/deck, and that hammock! Bliss

Heavenly villa in the hills of Le Bar-sur-Loup

What a spectacular stay! We all felt we were so fortunate to stay in such a beautiful place. A very well appointed villa that lived extremely comfortably. The gardens were gorgeous and the pool turned out to be a perfect escape from the warm afternoons. Lots of space for everyone with many activities on the property to keep us busy, entertained and very happy. The large kitchen was well stocked with spices and basics and lots of extras that made cooking easy. Our host's greeter Sara helped us out in a pinch and picked up several of our group as the Uber driver would not go down the steep narrow road to the villa. Thanks Sara! Le Bar-sur-Loup is a small town with several very good restaurants only a 10 min walk away. We took several trips through the hills on adventures and definitely preferred the D2210 as our favorite road - Google maps seemed to take us everywhere on roads that barely allowed for one car sometimes. For non EU visitors I would suggest you reach out to the host about the damage deposit to minimize any exchange rate costs once refunded if possible. Would definitely visit again. This truly was a heavenly villa.

An Idyllic Week in a Spectacular Villa

My family and some friends spent a week at the beautiful Villa Spencer in the South of France. It was an overwhelmingly positive experience. The place is immaculate and the grounds and views are extraordinary. It is the best place we have ever rented--and we have rented many lovely homes. The place is more expansive than it looks in the photos and we were lucky to have wonderful weather all week which allowed for all of our meals to be enjoyed outdoors. I would recommend heating the pool...for some reason, the heat stopped about halfway through our visit after the pool guy came and it was less enjoyable without it. (The owner did send him back to address the issue when I notified her.) Communication and check-in were great. The property manager was delightful and even bothered to follow up when I inquired about how to get a doctor's appointment. The only thing I didn't love was the drive to the Villa which (although very scenic) involves a few hairpin turns, narrow roads, and a very steep hill to access. Lucky for us, we never wanted to leave the Villa anyway! I imagine I will come back again and again to this enchanting place and I am grateful that the owner shared it with us!

La vue sur la vallée est enchantesse Elle vous invite à une communion avec la nature. Un havre de paix pour se ressourcer. Great family venue

As a family group of 12 we had a fantastic holiday , shops are a 10 minute walk for the baguettes, Grasse 15 minutes on public transport, we had a great driver (Olivier)but we also had a car which is needed to maximise this location . The family loved the pool, table tennis and plenty of areas to have your own space .

Stunning property, Amazing service and experience

Nohra’s place (Villa Spencer) is a Stunning property. Very rustic and charming from the exteriors but modern, comfortable and spacious in the inside. The views from the entire house are breathtaking, beautiful sceneries go the French country side. The host Nohra, agent Sophie and the cleaner provided outstanding service. Always available if we needed. I would especially the cleaner that went above and beyond to help us when needed. The house is a nice 10 mins walk from the village. The walk and views are simply beautiful, The village itself is really charming and people were all really friendly. Our overall experience over Christmas with our family was everything we could have dreamed off. I would definitely recommend this place and hope to have the chance to stay there again in the future.

Gorgeous villa 5 stars

I stayed at Villa Spencer for a week with my family. The house was gorgeous, the views were stunning and the grounds were beautiful. The house is very well equipped, we did lots of cooking. There were games to play for adults as well as the children. We had a lovely time and would return within an instant. Nohra was very communicative and helpful. Definitely recommend Villa Spencer as a wonderful place to stay for a relaxing holiday.

Just fantastic!

We have just returned from our summer holiday at Villa Spencer. In total 11 of us stayed at the Villa (friends and family) and had the most amazing time. The Villa is a as beatuiful as the pictures suggest. It was extremely peaceful and relaxing with stunning views. The Villa itself is very well equipped - it even has a good quality ice cream maker! The owner was always available if we had any questions during our stay and the whole process of booking, check in and check out was smooth and without problem. We have stayed in many villas in Europe over the years but this by far was our favourite. I cant recommend it more highly.

Des vacances de rêve !!

Nous avons passé un fabuleux séjour , tout était parfait . La maison et la vue sont d' une beauté à couper le souffle ! Tout est fait pour ne jamais s' ennuyer et se reposer . La région est superbe ! Nous espérons pouvoir y revenir ! Merci

My husband and I fell in love with this property and its settings. the views are beautiful. We had extensive work done to a very high standard.

There is something magic about this property, calming.
The gardens are beautiful all year round and depending what time of the year one can enjoy the fruit trees, citrus, roses, lavenders, Bougainvillaea and much more
It is also a very property with several eating areas, beautiful china , cutlery etc,,,

Lots of activities indoor and outdoor, petanque, table tennis, table football, badminton, volley.
We have gym equipment and a rowing machine. There is also a large selection of board games and DVDs
