1 Bedroom Farm Apartment with Infinity Pool, Walk to Restaurant

Linchetto is a one bedroom apartment created within a traditional working farm in the medieval village of Sillico, in the heart of the beautiful Garfagnana.

The setting is peaceful and scenic. Guests can relax beside the impressive 12 x 6 metre infinity pool while enjoying panoramic views of the dramatic Apuan Alps and spectacular sunsets over the mountains.

The apartment was restored from a barn and finished in a traditional rustic style. It offers one double bedroom, a bathroom and an open plan kitchen, dining and living area with sofa bed. The kitchen is well equipped and a washing machine and Wi-Fi are available.

Outside, there is a private patio reached directly from the kitchen, with table and loungers for outdoor dining. The garden enjoys wide mountain views and includes a wood oven, BBQ and a well-designed children’s playground with a Flying Fox.

The shared facilities are shared with just three other apartments on the farm (one 1 bedroom, one 2 bedroom and one 3 bedroom apartment), keeping the atmosphere relaxed and uncrowded.

The farm still operates in the traditional Garfagnana way. Sheep, goats and horses graze in the surrounding fields and guests can observe gentle farm activities during their stay. It is a safe and natural environment for children, who can also explore the traffic-free streets of the old village.

Guests are welcome to buy products from the farm including cheese, salamis, ham, chestnut flour, farro, marmalade and other preserves. Electric mountain bike hire can be arranged locally.

The fascinating medieval village of Sillico is only a one minute walk away. There is an excellent family-run restaurant in the village and mapped walking routes start directly from the doorstep. Sillico hosts cultural events throughout the year, including a well-known medieval festival in August.

The nearby village of Pieve Fosciana has two supermarkets, cafés, bakers and butchers as well as an excellent restaurant. The market town of Castelnuovo di Garfagnana is 7 km away and offers further shops, restaurants and the nearest train station with connections to Lucca.

The Garfagnana region is best known for its dramatic scenery, authentic atmosphere, rustic food and outdoor activities including walking, mountain biking, horse riding and wild swimming.

Maid service is available on request. Bed linen and towels are provided and final cleaning is included in the rental.
