Dieses attraktive Ferienhaus befindet sich neben dem Herrenhaus (Eigentum ref GAW) und befindet sich im selben Besitz, ist jedoch vollständig in sich geschlossen. Es befindet sich in dem malerischen und friedlichen Weiler West Pentire in Cornwall und ist nur 300 Meter von einem Klippenweg entfernt, der zu einem Hektar großen goldenen Sand führt. Die Freuden des Felsenpoolfischens, der Erkundung von Höhlen oder des Surfens können Kinder und Erwachsene gleichermaßen genießen (siehe Foto - Hunde erlaubt). Das Anwesen befindet sich im Herzen des National Trusts und ist von einem herrlichen Wandergebiet um die Landzungen und Buchten entfernt von den Straßen umgeben. Es ist ein idealer Ausgangspunkt, um die herrliche Landschaft, die atemberaubende Küste und die einzigartige Geschichte von North Cornwall zu erkunden. Das historische und familienfreundliche Bowgie Inn befindet sich in der Nähe und bietet eine Auswahl an Speisen sowie lokale Biere und Apfelweine. Sportfans können Sky-Berichterstattung genießen. Ein Gemischtwarenladen (in der Saison geöffnet) befindet sich in der Nähe und das Dorf Crantock mit seinen Geschäften liegt nur 1,6 km entfernt. Der lebhafte Ferienort Newquay mit seinen Klippen, die von zahlreichen Höhlen durchzogen sind, liegt 8 km nördlich der Flussmündung. Strand 200 Meter. Einkaufsmeile, Pub und Restaurant 50 Meter.

Lovely cottage in West Pentire.

Lovely cottage in West Pentire. Clean and well equipped with good parking space. Great for walking on the SW coastal path with nearby access to beaches at Crantock and Polly Joke. The Bowgie pub and C Bay cafe bistro are close by and Crantock village is a few minutes drive away.All in, an excellent week away.

We've stayed at Manor Cottage several times before and we've already booked for next year. Please take that as confirmation that we like the place very much. It's well-presented and spotlessly clean. That was very reassuring, given that The Plague is still out there. Also, the caretaker kept in touch to confirm that all was OK. That gave further reassurance. The location suits us perfectly - a magical beach and excellent dog walks just around the corner. The only reason we've given a slightly lower mark for local amenities is that if you're looking for shops or glitzy entertainment etc right on your doorstep, you might be disappointed. There's a big pub just around the corner, but that's all. You'll need to get in the car to go shopping etc. As mentioned earlier, we'll be back. 'Nuff said! A perfect stay at the Manor Cottage. Being able to walk to many beaches, forget about using a car and in walking distance to the village pubs is just ideal. We will be back again soon! Highly recommend The Albion in Crantock for dinner. And the bakery in Cubert for cakes and pasty’s. The cottage itself had everything we needed and lots of room for a family of four. Third stay at Manor Cottage, and already booked twice for next year. Methinks that says that we like it! Reason for marking only 8 out of 10 for location... It was ideal for us - pub and excellent dog walks (on beach) on doorstep - but if someone expected a range of other amenities within walking distance, they might be a little disappointed. But to repeat - the location was absolutely ideal for us.

My heart belongs to Cornwall and especially West Pentire already so to find this gem of a holiday cottage is such great news! The cottage is clean and modern and has a lovely little sun trap of a patio which is a great place to enjoy a glass of wine. Manor Cottage is also located next to Cbay for incredible food and drinks with a fab view and also next to Bowgie for a relaxed pub environment. This cottage is also well located for a quick walk to Polly Joke for a great beach or down the headland to the creek which is a secret fave - great beach when tide is out and super swimming hole when tide is in. Caroline (the owner of Manor) and Jo (the property manager) are both incredibly helpful and quick to reply. Get your essentials delivered by online shop but if not Crantock Village has all you need (including fantastic pasties) and Morrison’s is a short drive away. I’ve already booked Manor Cottage again for the same time next year!

Manor cottage comfortably accommodates four and is perfectly situated for access by foot to the nearby beaches of Crantock, Polly Joke, Holywell and the local amenities of picturesque Crantock village. We have stayed in West Pentire on and off over many years but this was our first time at Manor Cottage, where we would happily stay again. While not having much of a garden as such, the sun-trap of a patio is the perfect spot for breakfast and there is plenty of room for washing & drying wetsuits etc. The greatest benefit of all was being able to leave the car unused for the whole week while making the most of the beautiful paths and beaches that the West Pentire headland has to offer. It was as enchanting as ever.

To explain...The local amenities were excellent for our requirements, but some people might find them a little lacking - the lack of a shop within walking distance, for example.

The cottage was welcoming, clean and tastefully decorated there was everything we needed which made our stay comfortable and enjoyable the garden was enclosed with room for a couple of cars and no escape for our dog Alfie. there are great walks as soon as you stepped out of the gate with beautiful views and stunning beaches. The only downside is there is a house facing with windows directly overlooking the cottage, the downstairs windows have been frosted, because everything else is excellent we would defiantly stay there again and because of the location.
