Nothing extra but just enough

The condo was basic in its decor, furnishings, and kitchen supplies, but it was clean and comfortable. The 14th floor view was stellar, the property as a whole was very nice and attractive. Good value for the money.

Our stay was fine. Nothing extraordinary. The bath towels that were left for us were still quite damp. Put them in the dryer only to find the dryer made a god awful screeching noise. I just hung the towels over the chairs outside to dry. Also noticed some, what I assume was blood on the bunk beds…. Kinda gross. Probably wouldn’t return.

Great location

My family stayed for a week and enjoyed our stay! Good location, easy assess to the beach, and good vibes by the pool. Only negative comment would be the dirtiness of the floors. We would definitely stay again!

Wonderful vacation!

This condo was absolutely wonderful! We had a great time. The owner was very easy to communicate with and we got a great deal! Would definitely recommend to anyone and plan to stay here next year!

We appreciate this 5 star review submitted by our guests who stayed in this condo exactly one month after the previous review. Everything was essentially the same in the condo for both guests except that the water leak above this unit had been repaired. Therefore we can only assume that this guest felt they got more than what they paid for ;-)

The Summit is an older property but the amenities are up to date and it we had a great time. The condo itself needs a bit of work but definitely served our purpose. Just needs some small cosmetic updates. The condo was well supplied for typical living needs while on vacation. Overall we had a great time.

Nice getaway

It was nice in September! There were no crowds. The room was not the cleanest and there was hardly any dishes or things in the cabinet. It had no ice maker and we had to by ice. The chairs came with the room but you had to go check in and get a different chair every day (whatever was left over). It was not a huge problem this time of year however. All in all it was okay.

You Get What You Pay For

We stayed in one of the above units in May 201. The condo needed a few improvements - kitchen had some issues, shower curtain was moldy, random wet spots on the carpet, etc. but we got the week for such a cheap price that we just delt with it. You definitely get what you pay for. The property itself was awesome and the complimentary beach chairs and umbrella were definitely worth it. I would recommend staying at the Summit but maybe in another unit (unless the recommended improvements to the unit were made).

The owner of this condo takes great pride in keeping it updated. The condo has a new kitchen all new cabinets, sink and fixtures, new counter tops, new stove, fridge and a washer dryer that is enclosed in a cabinet out of sight. There is also a new side chair and a new sofa sleeper with a commercial grade mechanism and a thicker more comfortable commercial quality mattress. This guest called noted a little mold at the bottom of the shower curtain liner. We immediately replaced it with a new liner.FYI iIn this humid Florida environment when guests do not use exhaust fans in bathrooms mold can develop in just a few hours. We reinstructed our housekeeper to spray mold and mildew preventer on shower curtain liners to prevent this from happening again. The wet spots in the carpet in the hallway were caused by a leak in the A/C condenser line in the unit above this condo. Water leaked down into it through a common utility cavity. If the guest had notified us this situation would have been corrected immediately by the onsite Summit Maintenance personnel. Other guests staying in this condo seem to share our opinion that this is one of the nicest units at The Summit and you actually get more than what you pay for.

35th Birthday

Husband and I stayed for a week, Aug 12-19, overall the property was just as described and pictured. Ocean front, deck, bed was VERY comfortable, fitness center, pools, umbrella/tan bed set up at beach every day, it was a wonderful time, the place had everything you could need. On the downside, there were leaks and what we think is mold, the couches were so nasty I didn’t let anyone or thing touch them and I brought cleaning spray to clean surfaces first, which was a good thing as handles on cabinets etc were very gross. We knew going into it based off reviews it may not be the cleanest so I wasn’t super disappointed bc I was prepared just thought the leaks had been fixed and they had not. Luckily it didn’t affect our stay, and we had a wonderful time. Also, they had security and gate at parking lot, at beach entrance, cameras around outside, made ya feel safe, you do have to pay $20 for parking I don’t think that was mentioned in the listing.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We liked the location because it is not in the “heart” of the busy action of PCB. Good access to beach and pools were nice. However, the black mold inside the unit is definitely a health concern. We had to notify about the issue and they came and sprayed with bleach. Obviously, that does not fix the problem. There was also so my h dust and lint on all of the fixtures and so much that the maintenance man thought the lint on the ceiling was also black mold. The dryer vent was so jammed up that a fire could have easily been started. My hubby cleaned it out and we do have pics. Overall, we were disappointed.

Shouldn't be rented

I normally don't leave bad reviews but this place was just awful. Upon check in there was a plumber working on the garbage disposal in the sink. He said it was broken and not to use it. he put tape over the switch and left. That side of the sink was clogged up as well as the bathroom sink was leaking. The next day housekeeping randomly shows up and knocks on the door and just walks in at 7:40a. She seemed shocked I was there and I told her I didn't need anything, and she left. Never saw another housekeeper after that. I work remotely and tried to work but the internet does not work well at all. I had to go and purchase a hotspot just to answer emails and remote in to work. A few days later someone knocks on the door and says water was coming out of the wall and they needed to check our unit for leaks. The next morning they are sawing the wall open outside the bedroom window, tired out the fire suppression system was leaking. Another couple of days the electrician shows up, fixes the switch but says another person would be by to fix then garbage disposal then goes on to tell me the wiring in the ceiling fans in the unit were not up to code since it was cut extension cords spliced into the fixes then run down the wall threaded through a chain. The entire stay was just constant bombardment with contractors and building mantenence making it impossible to have any peace or privacy. The unit itself violates several codes. Smoke detector didn't even have batteries.

Disappointing Rental - Nice Resort

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We did NOT originally select this property. Confusing, right? It was for us, as well. We rented a 3BR Penthouse for Spring Break and only 5 days before our departure from NW Indiana we were notified that ownership had "started a small construction project" and that things hadn't gone well with the contractors and our unit would not be inhabitable for our trip. Why would you start construction on a unit that is rented for the busiest season of the year, paid in full nearly $3k, just days before arrival? I'm not sure because no explanation was offered when I asked. The solution? We were provided two mediocre one bedroom units by the rental management company, so our two oldest children (16 & 17) were separated from the rest of the family by 7 floors. Super undesirable. We no longer had a master with balcony access (hearing the surf at night was top of my husband and I's list of wants in choosing our accommodations). We now had to share a bathroom with our 10 & 12 year old boys. The boys now had bunks built into the hallway instead of their own room with queen beds. The teens had to share a king bed instead of each having their own.For this unit: not nearly as many cleanliness issues or mold issues as the other unit. This unit was clean and practical, albeit dull in terms of decor and having a "beachy feeling". It was ample for teenagers.

We have been visiting Panama City for over 20 years. I will have to say this is the worst place we have ever stayed. ...1. It was so run down and nasty. 2. There was mold all over everything from ceilings, wall, shower head, lamp shades. Bedding. 3. To top it off we had rats.. I contacted the place we rented from and she apologized and said she would get maintenance right there. No one ever showed up. I could go on but you get the picture. I understand Florida may have a lot of moisture being on the ocean but at least clean it before people stay there. 175.00 cleaning fee it should be clean and it was obvious it had not been cleaned for some time.

NASTY

The room was not clean. The ceiling had black spots all over it. The floor, couch and love seat was filthy. The bed was VERY uncomfortable. You could feel the springs which felt like you were sleeping on a sofa bed. The trim was coming loose everywhere in the condo. The tub was black around base. The washer’s rubber seal was black and smelt awful. There were no extra blankets for the other beds. There were no silverware to eat with. No toaster! I had to fry my waffles. I will never stay in this same condo again.
