Tolles Familienhaus, in dem Sie alles erkunden können, was Connemara entlang des Wild Atlantic Way zu bieten hat, einschließlich Cashel Hill, der majestätisch an der Spitze der Bucht steht.

Bietet zwei Doppelzimmer, ein Zweibettzimmer mit Dusche. Familiendusche, Einbauküche / Essbereich und Wohnzimmer mit offenem Kamin.

Great residence, fabulous countryside we really enjoyed our stay. The only downside was no Wifi, and a very poor mobile connection, some days we had to drive to Roundstone (12km away) to make calls to our family and undertake banking. This may be a serious drawback for people wishing to do business communications. Overall we had a great time , and the host was excellent during the storms at the beginning of our stay.

Beautiful peaceful location

Waterside Cottage is in a stunningly beautiful spot. If you need the bright lights, forget it - no wi-fi, phone signals OK sometime but poets, writers, painters and those who appreciate the natural beauty of this corner of Connemara will love it.

"Stunning" is the right word for the location, sparkling clean, just great. (Not a criticism, just a suggestion: Post instructions for washer and dryer, dishwasher, etc.-- Americans aren't familiar with the symbols.) Look for the sea otters when you go there!

Waterside Cottage, Cashel

Cottage was absolutely fantastic, everything about it was great, very clean, kitchen had everything we needed for our stay, we loved our two weeks there, very relaxing, location great, brilliant views and lovely walks from the cottage. One small thing, specific clear instructions to get to the cottage, the Irish code given, we could not get it to locate the cottage, in the end we asked someone, who directed us.

Très bien situé mais...

Le cottage est situé en face de la baie de Cashel (Connemara). Belle vue depuis la maison. Elle est au cœur du Connemara, à 20 minutes de la jolie ville de Clifden où tous les commerces sont présents. Nous n'avons vu personne pour récupérer les clés qui nous attendaient dans la serrure. Quant aux aspects pratiques du gîte, nous avons été assez déçus. La douche d'une chambre a été signalée en panne dans un commentaire de 2022 et elle n'est toujours pas réparée. Pour une maison de 6 personnes, une seule salle d'eau est trop juste. L'abattant des WC était HS (réparé rapidement par un plombier). La cuisine est mal équipée : pas de cafetière électrique, une cuisinière toute rouillée hors d'âge, manque d'assiettes, pas de plat à tarte. Les français aiment cuisiner ! Le sèche-linge, indispensable dans ce pays, ne sèche pas vraiment. Autres soucis, une fenêtre de chambre ne jointe pas correctement, une tablette d'une autre est cassée et laisse passer l'air. Quand il fait 13° début juillet, c'est plutôt gênant. On a du allumer le chauffage. A mettre au crédit du gestionnaire, son intervention rapide pour solutionner le plus simple. Ce cottage pourrait être formidable si le propriétaire (américain) investissait quelques dollars. Nous louons depuis 40 ans chaque année, nous n'avons pas l'habitude de pinailler mais là, il y avait de quoi. Un grand merci à Brid, la femme de ménage, pour les scones tous chauds et la confiture en compensation de nos ennuis.

Dear Helene We thank you for your review and have passed your comments to the owner. We are very sorry that the shower during your stay was not working however this was working prior to your stay. We were very happy to hear that the toilet seat was fixed. The owner has confirmed that he will provide extra delph and provide an electric coffee maker instead of the cafetiere which most of the guests requested. The owner was not aware that the dryer was not working correctly. He has arranged for a workman to check. The owner has confirmed that they will certainly invest in the items mentioned in your review. We have not received such a review so it was very useful for your feedback. Très bel emplacement

Globalement notre avis est positif, car la vue est exceptionnelle et l emplacement de la maison est interessant pour découvrir la region. Par contre, nous avons noté plusieurs points qui mériteraient d être améliorés pour correspondre exactement à la desciption ainsi qu au prix demandé. La douche qui se situe dans l une des chambres ne fonctionnait pas et nous n en avons pas été informés. La douche de la salle de bain n etait pas propre ( traces de moisissures sur le sol ainsi que sur le carrelage des parois). La vaisselle n est pas suffisante ( 2 poeles seulement dont une est à jeter car inutilisable), la cafetière à poussoir meriterait d être remplacée ( rafistolage du filtre qui laisse passer le café ), seulement 8 assiettes ( pour 6 personnes c est trop juste), la cuisinière est également vraiment très ancienne et abîmée. Enfin un veritable salon de jardin sur le devant de la maison serait également un atout supplémentaire.

Fantastic location

From the minute we entered the door to the moment we dragged ourselves out it to leave we had a brilliant holiday. Our 2 children had the space needed, big garden and it was on a lovely quiet road . Noah made lots friends with neighbours. Relaxed to know he was safe on the road in his bike. Willow has cerebral Palsy and is chair bound, the house was accessible in every way for us to accomadate her needs, she is 4. Spotlessly clean with every need covered. It does not however have Wifi. Highly recommend and Brid the lady who cares for the house is a lovely, kind helpful person.

A wonderful holiday experience

We had a fantastic time in Waterside cottage. We rent a holiday home each year and this was really excellent. Brid was brilliant, really helpful and the house was really well prepared for our visit. Swimming of the pier each day was a real highlight.

Tranquil awsome Cashel. Hidden jewel in the hearty of Connemara.

Waterside Cottage offered everything we required. The views from the site just so relaxing. We had a 94 year old who found the cottage offered safe and free access all over and enjoyed the views from the bench at the front of the house. Great location to explore or revisit parts of Connemara. Being a keen photographer I was glad of the digital technology as I would have blown my budget on 35mm film. Suggest a short walk to the harbour or more energetic walk up Cashel Mountain. The colour of the of the landscape from water to sky in the early morning light just magnificent. The caretaker presented us with a spotlessly clean property and great comfort. Book it now and you won't regret it. We will be a repeat visitor
