'La Casita' is a beautiful and contemporary, luxury 3-bedroom/2-bathroom single-storey villa located on the outskirts of Alhaurin El Grande, in the valley between the River Fahala and the stream of Blas González. The property is surrounded by stunning green-belt countryside views, and yet is just a 5 minute drive (5km) from the town centre, just 22km from the airport, 29km from Malaga city centre, 25km from Fuengirola and only 36.5km from Marbella.
As you approach La Casita by road you will pass it's parent property 'La Huerta Vieja' (property ID 6819172), and the first sight you have of 'La Casita' will be of it's 32 sqm south-facing roof terrace with glass balustrades that is accessed by a wrought-iron spiral staircase. This elevated access provides you with breath-taking uninterrupted views towards the town of (Alhaurin el Grande) and the local mountains (Sierra de Mijas).
Electric gates open to reveal parking for 3 cars, and a modern luxury villa with a fully terraced dining and entertainment area - the perfect place to relax and unwind with lovely views of your own orange trees, local farms + orchards, the surrounding mountain ranges, as well as your own 7m x 3.5m private floodlit pool.
You enter the property through the dark-wood Andalusian-style door and are immediately taken into the open-plan kitchen/dining/living room. This is a light and bright modern living space which contains a contemporary kitchen with granite surfaces and a breakfast bar that seats 2 people, 3 sets of double patio doors onto the terrace, a dining table and benches that comfortably seats 8, an L-shaped double sofa bed, an armchair and 2 poufes.
Access to the 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms is via a hallway off the main living space, and immediately on the left you'll find bedroom 1 which has amazing mountain views and contains a King-size bed (150cm wide), with storage space underneath, 2 bedside tables, a chest of drawers with built-in vanity mirror, a built-in double wardrobe, hot/cold air conditioning, tall mirror, ceiling fan and a wall-mounted TV showing UK channels.
Bedroom 2 contains single bunk-beds (90 x 200cm), 1 bedside table, chest of drawers, built-in single wardrobe, hot/cold air conditioning and a wall-mounted TV showing UK channels.
Bedrooms 1 & 2 share the Family Bathroom which contains a rainfall shower unit over a small 140cm bath (ideal for small children).
Further down the corridor to the right is Bedroom 3, the largest 'master' bedroom which contains double patio-doors onto the terrace and pool area, a King-size bed (150cm wide), 2 bedside tables, chest of drawers, tall mirror, a built-in wardrobe and a wall-mounted TV showing UK channels. This master bedroom also has it's own en-suite bathroom, which contains a walk-in rainfall shower.
Outside you'll find a lounge dining set for 8 people that overlooks the mountains, an L-Shaped seating area that overlooks the contrasting mountainous aspect, as well as 8 sun loungers with 4 tables and 4 parasols, as well as a bistro-style table and 2 chairs.

Wonderful break
We really enjoyed our stay and would totally recommend. The villa was clean and well-presented and ticked all the boxes for us. We had initially booked back before Covid struck but we are glad that we finally got to visit as it was really worth it for a quiet and peaceful break.

Wonderful vacation for family of four
We just had 10 wonderful days in the house. We were positively surprised when we arrived. The pool area had just been renovated including first and foremost a new and bigger pool, along with new tiles and relaxation areas around it. The property manager Roy does a great job :)

Immaculate house in the countryside.
We booked last minute and the whole process was very smooth. The owner and property manager are very communicative and helpful. The house is lovely, modern and well equipped with top quality appliances. It is very clean. The pool area has just been upgraded and is superb . Just the right size for a swim and cool down . There is plenty of seating and the room terrace views are beautiful. I would recommend if you are looking for a country house with pool . It’s positioned a 5 minute drive to town and 20 minutes to the sea . We had a lovely holiday. Thank you and also to Roy and his team .

Lovely Villa Small Pool
The villa has recently been completed and is very modern and clean but for the cost to rent the pool was very small. The teenage kids loved it but as an adult wanting to swim in the pool each morning it was only long enough for 4 strokes of breast stroke. It is located in a very rural area that appears very run down in many places with lots of dumping by the bins and wild dogs running around and barking at night. It would be a lovely place to walk with the view of the mountains but my son was chased by a dog when he went out for a run and a large dog chased our car trying to bite it. We felt for the money the villa is too small and you are all on top of each other. My 19 year old son had trouble fitting in the bunk beds and there was not enough inside seating to fit four adults and a 12 year old. We like staying out of the main areas but there are 7 different ways into this property and it can take some time to get it right and very difficult at night. We had a few issues with the property manager who did not advise us of anything when we checked and only contacted us after 7 days to tell us to put the parasols away. We were out on a day out and when we got back one was in the pool. It hadn't been windy in the previous 6 days so when the owner said he was charging me to replace them I said I hadn't been told anything by the manager. I was advised it was commonsense to put them away when not it as I should have known it might get windy. I have to admit I was pretty annoyed with his attitude but he said the same about me. He did not end up charging me but I felt the manager should have told us information about the wind (the villa appears to be in a secluded location) and where the bins were etc. the owner said it was not his remit to talk me through details of a self catering villa. Not sure what his purpose was then as they could easily have a keysafe. We suggested a book of information might help especially a map of how to get in and out easily as sat nav does not work in the area and about the bins etc. The villas was very clean and new but small things like no bin bags and ants in the kitchen could have made it better. The villas was modern and fresh and the kids loved it but we felt it was too small especially the pool for the cost of staying there.

We're really sorry that you felt that the villa wasn't good value for money for the reasons that you list. We've gone to great lengths to highlight the villa's countryside location, we've included a floor plan showing room sizes, details of the bed measurements, and video and pictures to show the size of the swimming pool. As you rightly point out we covered the cost of the damaged parasols that were left up in windy conditions, and in future we will do our upmost to discourage wildlife from inhabiting the Spanish countryside in the hot summer months. Finally, whilst all of the information is available on-line, we totally agree that a welcome folder is needed at the villa and will sort that out.

Nous étions 8, vacances familiales 2 couples et 4 enfants nous avons passé un excellent séjour pendant 15 jours. Très bel accueil de la part de Roy, très chaleureux !Super séjour à la « casita » qui est très bien équipée, de bon standing, l’extérieur : piscine coin salons et rooftop sont vraiment très très agréable ! La maison corrrespond exactement à la description et au photos de l’annonce et elle est très fonctionnelle.Le seul petit bémol, est la route pour accéder à la maison qui est en mauvais état, mais on s’y fait !De très belles vacances et souvenirs pour notre famille !! Encore merci pour tout Roy !

L'endroit est magnifique , calme et surtout reposant
Aucun commentaire négatif sur la maison l'entretien et la disponibilité du gérant. La seule chose personnelle c'est que nous étions loin du centre . Mais ça valait le détour, la route avec ses magnifiques montagnes .

Excellente prestation.
Villa très propre, cuisine équipée grand luxe, très appréciable.
Climatisation, tout le nécessaire est à disposition (serviette, savon main, épices à cuisine, café).
Attention cependant, villa un peu excentrée et l’accès se fait par piste peu éclairée.
A refaire sans hésitation.

Merci beaucoup pour votre avis cinq étoiles. Nous avons mis beaucoup de soin et de passion dans la rénovation, et c'est fantastique que les touches de luxe supplémentaires aient été appréciées. Nos clients aiment le calme, la tranquillité et les vues à couper le souffle qui viennent d'être situés dans 2 hectares de campagne préservée, mais pour parvenir à ce que les villas soient situées à 4,6 km de la ville la plus proche (Alhaurin el Grande), au bout d'un long et piste de campagne sinueuse sans issue. C'est le compromis nécessaire.

Lovely luxe rental - everything is super quality and great on the eye !
For a frazzled couple looking for complete tranquility- mad cockerel aside! - This was
A perfect stay! Would suggest larger groups may find indoor space a bit tight but if it’s a summer visit there are lots of nice outdoor seating areas to make up for that !
Pool is plunge rather than swimming but great for cooling off !
Overall would recommend highly !

Louisa is a Deputy Head Teacher and John is an executive in the Cybersecurity industry. They are both from the Midlands, and live in Andorra and the UK. They have 2 children and visit the villa regularly, and are both learning Spanish in anticipation of eventually spending UK winters relaxing in Spain ;o)
Darum fiel die Entscheidung auf diese Unterkunft
"We have owned property in Andalucia since 2003, and have been holidaying in this part of Spain for many years. We decided that we wanted a more substantial property that offered peace and tranquillity in the Spanish hills, but was still close to a busy 'Spanish' town, and importantly gave us the scope chance to put our stamp on it. As soon as we arrived at the gates we instantly fell in love, and by the time we’d explored the estate, taken in the breath-taking views of the landscaped garden, the surrounding orchards and mountains, and discovered that there was an additional property (La Casita) that was situated on a lower level at the edge of the large 2-acre plot and virtually hidden from the main villa, we were hooked and knew that it would be the perfect family retreat in the stunning Andalusian countryside.
We made an offer later that day, and by early Jan ’17 we’d collected the keys and excitedly began planning the refurbishment. We modernized the main villa first (La Huerta Vieja, property ID 6819172), and completed work on 'La Casita' in September 2018 - and we now have 2 completely separate fenced-off properties that can be rented out independently or as 1 large property for large groups of up to 18 people.
'La Casita' was the original property that was the dwelling for the local farmers, and had not been touched for more than 50 years when we purchased it. The renovation took 12 months & we feel that we have created a modern, luxury open-plan villa that appeals to a wide audience, and we personally think that the best addition is the stunning sun deck with amazing views of the mountains and open countryside.
Our property management team look after the maintenance side of things all year round, as well as ensuring that the 2 acres of mature landscaped gardens with 100’s of trees, exotic flowers and plants stay in fantastic condition. The team is led by Roy Potter, who ensures that all our guests have an amazing time.”
