Rodgia, is the name of the village above the villa, which gets its name from an ancient church dedicated to the Virgin Mary, called Chiesa Rogdia, which dates back to the Venetian settlement of the area in 1553. There is an old Venetian tower in the old village that reminds us of the Venetian origins of the area. Rogdia is a friendly and pleasant village above the villa, which offers markets and dining options for the guests. There is beautiful and peaceful monastery/nunnery at the very top of the mountain, which offers the guests beautiful, contemplative gardens and a look at a church that goes back 500 years.
Rogdia is famous amongst the locals for having the finest in Greek restaurants and tavernas. The local residents know that the tavernas are both best in quality, and with spectacular views of sea and the distant city of Heracleon. The villa, is within a minute walk to one of the best tavernas in the area and within walking distance to four more eating places.
The villa can accommodate up to 10 people comfortably and is comprised of three levels of living space. There is a private pool and Jacuzzi overlooking the gorgeous Sea of Crete, surrounded by a lovely garden of flowers and fruit trees. The guests will feel at home in the spacious surroundings, but will feel like they have been transported to a beautiful, exotic sanctuary of Mediterranean sky and sea, softened by gentle cool sea breezes.
The villa is modern and designed in an open and clean concept to invite the visitor for a more relaxed and social environment. The house is equipped with all modern appliances and conveniences and the bedrooms are furnished for total relaxation and restful sleep. The villa is fully furnished and equipped with the one goal of providing the guest an unforgettable holiday stay in gorgeous Crete. Our Staff will always be available for a wide range of services that each guest can desire, according to each guests’ particular need. The ground floor has an open space design for comfort and socializing and there is an independent kitchen and open dining area. There is a bedroom and bathroom on this level which can accommodate one or two people. The living room has a lovely open view of the garden and sea from most of the angles of the space. The living room opens to a lovely garden of fruit trees and flowers, which frame your view of the sea and which leads to a private pool and Jacuzzi that allows the guest to bask in the sun while overlooking the sea from atop the high hilltop of Rogdia.
The first floor has a spacious large kitchen with a dining room area and open living room that is filled with light and open to spectacular views of the sea. The living room opens to a spacious balcony, where you can enjoy a meal or a drink overlooking the gorgeous sea and countryside. The space is inviting and the perfect place for socializing and creating memories.
The second floor has four bedrooms, tastefully decorated and made to be comfortable and relaxing. Three bedrooms are double beds, and one bedroom is a single bed that can serve as double bed if needed.
The top area of the house, above the second floor, is a laundry area and linen closet and a rooftop area for sitting and observing the panorama vistas.

The villa is surrounded by lovely, peaceful gardens which will transport the visitor to another place in time. The garden is a collection of fragrant flowers and fruit trees which frame your view of the blue seas and will make you think you are in a painting. The garden leads you to a private pool that gives you full privacy to enjoy the cool waters while overlooking the glorious sea of the Mediterranean.
