Beautiful home in a beautiful location!!

We stayed here with two families and couldn’t have been happier! The location near Balboa Pier was perfect—just steps to the beach, shops, restaurants, and the ferry. So many activities for the kids too! The house is beautifully updated with stylish finishes, a gorgeous kitchen, and a new bathrooms. It was styled beautifully and SUPER clean - which I really appreciate. The beds were SO comfortable. I’ve never slept so good on a vacation before. The house was comfortable, spotless, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Highly recommend!

We love Newport Beach and look forward to returning next year. However, we found things not as they should be. Two of the beds had large pee stains on the mattress pads. The BBQ is older, and the thermometer for cooking was very inaccurate. Additionally, two of the burners would not light, which poses a fire hazard. The sliding glass door to the outside in the master bedroom has a non-functioning lock. And finally, nowhere in the ad was it mentioned that the house lies directly in line with planes taking off from John Wayne Airport. When I sent an email to the owner, I received a canned response in effect saying that what I had said was very helpful.

Great place for family vacation

This property is roomy and clean, with modern, new furnishings, appliances and appointments. Master suite and one other adult's bedroom were light and airy, with lovely view of the bay. Kids' room had very nice bunk bed. They provided plenty of towels for the bathrooms, as well as lovely beach towels. We were surprised at how convenient it was to the "fun zone" arcades, snack places, boat/bike rentals and ferry (2 blocks). The kids (10 and 12) could safely walk there by themselves. (No need to rent bikes: they offered to lend us theirs. They also supplied beach chairs.) Lovely, large beach with fire pits is also only 2-3 short block walk. These are great hosts, friendly and immediately responsive to our texts re the very few, very small issues. We recommend and would DEFINITELY rent this property again.

This second and third floor condo is a great location for the beach, ferry to Balboa Island and local restaurants. Condo has some maintenance issues that should be addressed. The air conditioner is very loud and needs intake filters replaced. Bathing towels provided are very low quality and should be upgraded. The outdoor furniture is really old and not set up for enjoying the harbor view and sunsets. The vent hood in the kitchen is extremely dirty and needs to be deep cleaned. Disappointed with this property’s amenities- small bar soap. Need to provide your own paper towels. Kleenex, and soap.

As Advertised, great beach location

The property is great, as advertised - very large living room/kitchen, great place to spend time with the family. There was one minor issue and one major issue: minor - it would have been nice to have lounge chairs on the two decks, sort of odd to have so much open space on the bay side with just a high table with chairs, no way to chill on the decks and get some sun. Major issue - the internet connectivity in general sucked for all three adults using their iPhones and an iMac. Sometimes fast, most often super slow and irritating. It's 2023 :). We often ended up hot-spotting with our cell phones. There are now many ways to upgrade to insure wicked fast, just need to invest in it. I think for the price it needs to be done. Otherwise, the property is terrific, thanks.

Awesome place to stay in the Newport Beach/Balboa area. The house is located a couple blocks from the Balboa Island Ferry and Balboa Pier, so you can explore the marina and beach. The house is very clean and modern with a nice layout. There are stairs to get up to the unit for those who may have trouble with stairs. The open kitchen has a Thermador range and oven and is well stocked. The balcony areas have nice seating, including a balcony with nice views of the marina. The bedrooms were well appointed with very comfortable mattresses. There are plenty of towels and beach towels. There are also two bicycles in the garage that we used to ride down the boardwalk. Overall a great place to stay, it feels like you’re at a beach retreat!

Great vacation spot

House was a great size for the 6 of us and perfect location to the beach. We had hoped the back deck was accessible from the main living area instead of everyone having to go through the master bedrooms. Overall it was a great place to stay during the boat parade.

Premium property in a great location

We had a lovely thanksgiving holiday here! The location was ideal to hop on the ferry to Catalina island, walk the beach and watch the surfers. Great restaurants abound and the gourmet kitchen has everything you need to have a great meal in. We did all of those things and had a blast!

Family vaca 2024

The house was perfect for the 9 of us. Kitchen nice and well stocked with the necessities. Wish it was stocked with some beach chairs. We always book our beach vaca’s through VRBO and all have accommodated for that. But not deal breaker. Would book again. We really enjoyed our stay and location.
