Was können wir sagen, es heißt gut! Sie werden sich wie in dieser sonnigen Wohnung am Meer mit unglaublicher Aussicht und schnellem Zugang zum Strand fühlen. Dieses Haus am Strand ist eine Mischung aus modernem Design und Retro-Architektur und bietet Platz für jeden und für jeden etwas! Ein Schlafzimmer verfügt über ein Queensize-Bett, das andere bietet ein Kingsize-Bett und im Wohnzimmer befindet sich ein Queensize-Schlafsofa. Beide Badezimmer verfügen über Stehduschen.

Der Strand ist direkt gegenüber dem Rasen, also schlagen Sie die sandigen Ufer, wann immer Sie möchten. Exceptional location with exceptional views!

So fun to share our favorite holiday holiday in our favorite place with our family friends. The condo was overflow to our palisades home. Despite the unprecedented chaos, the weekend was a huge hit!

A lovely stay in a comfortable, spacious home

This was a great space for the price. Lots of room to move around and relax. Lovely, quite, location. Great kitchen and living room. Great beach access and views. 2 parking spots. Loved that it was within 30 mins of Cannon Beach! We would stay there again.

Coma Inducing Retreat

This place was so comfortable and relaxing. We slept a lot! Though there wasn’t a view of the ocean, it was close enough to hear and smell. There were big windows and rolling hills. It felt so private. We really liked it and wanted to stay longer. The kitchen was big and well appointed. It felt very homey.

Good location.

Loved being so close to the beach. Really missed having air conditioning (how I didn't catch that in listing I will never know). There should be screens on the windows and doors, since that is the only way to cool the house down! Ceiling fans would make it more comfortable as well. In lieu of replacing the ripped couch, Slipcovers or reupholstery would help, as would a board under cushions of the couch to help with sagging. The kitchen was definitely well equipped, a big plus!

Amazing oceanside condo with lots see

Fantastic location!!! Takes you 2 minutes to walk to the beach! Close driving distance to great towns like Seaside and Astoria! We recommend checking out the Indian costal trail abiut 20 minutes out, spectacular views, about 4 miles there and back. You should also check out the Cathedral trail and Column in Astoria where you can throw a wooden plane off a tower! We also recommend going to the Sandtrap bar thats another 2 minute walk from the property and Grandmas Corner for a good hearty breakfast! The Silver Salmon in Astoria had some of the best clam chowder and Salmon cakes we have ever had! There is even a herd of elk that pass through the dune ridge behind the condo occasionally!!!

Great Location, but Cleanliness Issues

Overall, this spot is great if you’re just using it as a touch down for a beach weekend. The location is wonderful, and it’s a quick walk to the beach. However, we were surprised by the lack of cleanliness and the condition of the furniture. Most surfaces were dusty, the windows were clearly smudged with handprints, and there were hairs in the beds and on the towels. We also ended up having to throw out some of our food after the first night as it was overtaken by ants. (It wasn’t left wide open, just normal countertop snacks in the containers). The furniture is definitely worn and ripped up too. Overall, it was a still a good little spot for the location, but could easily be improved with better housekeeping and care.

UNSANITARY

STAY AWAY! Mouse droppings, rusty pots and pans, horrible strong musty smell, looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months. Dirty and disgusting. DO NOT GO HERE! This listing should be taken off the VRBO/Vacasa. Vacasa was also the LEAST helpful costumer service ever. I will NEVER book with them again.

Not quite good enough.

Loved the solitude and views of the sand dune right outside the door. Quick walk to the beach. Loved the response from the manager of the cleaning crew when we had to call to express our concerns over the cleanliness. Grimy, very dusty, cobwebs on ceiling and some fixtures and accessories, hair ball in the shower. He was there the next morning to clean it himself, but we lost time away from the condo waiting for it to be recleaned. The furniture is not what is shown in the pictures. It was ripped and torn and patched with duct tape. Other pieces were stained and dirty. So gross! We had to pull sheets from the closet to feel clean using the furniture. Kitchen was nicely appointed. Definitely needs a very deep clean and new furniture. Not sure if the view and location were worth it.

Condo smelled musty when we first entered. Counters were grimy, furniture ripped and torn and held together by duct tape, T.V. screen covered with dust, furniture stained and dirty, lamp fixtures and decorations covered with grimy dust. The final straw was the hair clog in the shower. Online pictures did not match actual furnishing. We had to cover the furniture with sheets it was so gross. We had to go out and but a tablecloth for the table because there was grim between the glass top and frame. However, the property manager responded right away and came over next day to re-clean it. Kitchen layout was good. The location was amazing and almost worth the angst of the overall condition, Have determined we will not stay there again. There is a difference between shabby and gross. This was gross.

Fantastic Location

Quiet & peaceful

We love the location of this condo . It was so quiet & peaceful we felt like we were the only people around. The condo ,although a bit dated ,is nice with lots of large windows . The kitchen was nice with pretty much everything you will need. We love the easy 3 minute walk to the beach also the easy walk to the Gearhart Golf Course.

Excellent layout with everything you need, but farther from the beach than expected

We really enjoyed our 3-night stay. I think some things future renters will appreciate knowing include: it has no AC (that was maybe in the listing, and it was hotter than average while we were there, but after a day of hiking and then driving, it was an unwelcome surprise to us that it was 78 degrees in the home) and no screens in the windows, so you can't open them to appreciate the sea air instead; it's a dated home--needs a lot of updates--but it's still lovely (the beds are comfortable, the layout is smart--hello, 2 bathrooms!--they provide everything in the kitchen, the grass yard is nice); the patio furniture needs updating big time--the chairs were just broken; if you're renting seaside, you want to spend time outdoors, so that space needs attention. There aren't chairs to take to the beach, which was a bummer for people who flew into the state, so couldn't bring out own. Mostly, it is much farther from the beach than the pictures suggest. The bench that's shown (to me, as if it's right at the edge of the yard) is actually already about 200 yards from the house. You have to crest not one, but two hills before you make it to the beach. Once you're there, it's magical, but I was not anticipating that. I thought it would be easy to just pop out there and back, use the house bathroom, etc., but it was a tiresome trek each time. Overall, I would likely stay here again, but I would budget to go into town for fans, chairs, and house shoes for the rocky tiles.

Good location, very basic

We loved the proximity of this home to the beach and to Astoria. It was adequate yet fairly basic and we found it lacked some daily necessities. We'd stay here again if the cost was lowered to reflect what it had to offer. Great experience with Vacasa in terms of communication.

Nightmare experience

Me and my friend arrived and the door was unlocked we pushed it open to a foul smell to start. There were cobwebs and bugs (dead and alive) everywhere. Smears on the walls. Broken ripped furniture. Mouse doppings!!! Unusable usted pots and pans for the dinner groceries we were hoping to make. Vacasa was horrible when we called they gave us the runaround, kept promising to bring new pots/oans and to schedule a cleaner but we felt unsafe and uncomfortable and wanted to leave. They did not bring the pots/pans promised. We were forced to stay the night, despite calling twice to demand a refund to relocate. They would not allow me to talk to upper management to get a refund. This is unacceptable and I will never be using Vacasa again. Steer clear!!!

Amazing rental! Deserving of 10 stars!

Captain’s Quarters is a phenomenal rental! When we walked in the place was not only beautiful but perfectly clean. And I mean like OCD clean. Kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could imagine, bathrooms had plenty of towels and soap/shampoo & conditioner, the beds were super comfortable. The sea breeze feels so good through the windows and door. A short walk over the dune to the beach and this place just hit perfection. The location is superior to being in Seaside with all the traffic. This rental is a must and I cannot recommend it enough!

False advertising

Among the amenities listed was a ‘wood burning fireplace’. We had planned on the ambience of an evening fire but after arrival found that the fireplace was ‘not in working order’. Fine - but then quit advertising it! Other than that the condo was acceptable - not high end, not bad.

Could be great but no care given to details

Great location. On the surface it looked like a comfortable place, with a roomy living space, newer kitchen and comfortable beds with crisp linens. But when you look closer you notice the threadbare and stained carpet in the bedrooms, baseboards that have been removed and not replaced, upholstery that is so old it has pancaked or badly needs cleaning, a shower head that hangs limp and cannot be adjusted to be useable, and hairs in the drains. Just a little care and attention would have made this place great. Kind of disappointing.

Great location but responsiveness for broken appliances lacked

The location of this property is amazing! Proximity to the beach fantastic and we loved the grassy area and short walk. The inside is dated and not the most “kid friendly” as there as sliding glass tables everywhere and slate flooring. However the biggest shortfall was the oven not working and lack of responsiveness from Vacasa (the property management company). We have two very picky eaters and snagged some pizzas and salads to cook at the beach house after a long day in the sun. However the oven never heated up and was broken. We tried every which way possible and even called in for support. Nothing got it working and after spending an hour trying to troubleshoot and 30min getting ahold of the management company to report, we had starving kids, no dinner and wasted food that we couldn’t cook. Management company stated someone would call that night from the area and they would get it fixed in the morning but we never had any calls or contact. We ended up having to drive out and pay for ANOTHER dinner out, late at night, with very hungry tired kids. Overall the location saves this review but the broken kitchen equipment was a huge bummer as we like to cook in and had to pay double for meals as we prepped with ability to use the oven.
