We Loved It.

It was clean, very spacious, had plenty of dishes, pots and pans. Had all of the amenities that you would need if you lived there all of the time. Very close to the beach. Very close to stores and restaurant. Had several swimming pools.

When we arrived to the condo to check in we was not given check in code. The Portside resort front desk told us to go to the office to check in there because a code was supposed to be given. Our check in was at 4 we didn’t get the key till 6 because no one was there. Also website says free round of golf for each day of your stay and when we went to play it was only for 1 person which is used to trick you.

This place needs HELP!!! DON’T Stay here!

If you want close to the beach, that’s about all it’s worth. (Depends on your definition of close though, as unit “M” is in the back of the complex). Not a quick walk across the street. Oh and the 3 pools were nice. Otherwise, we got there Saturday to find a unit that was barely cleaned, not sure the last time it was vacuumed- crumbs, dirt and fake nails on the carpet. The main banister leading upstairs needs repainted or the touch of a magic eraser. Disgustingly DIRTY. The kitchen sink smelt like something died. We found out later in the week that the dishwasher was full of grey-brown standing water. It was repulsive. We had no blankets or pillow cases for the sleeper sofa. The air conditioning did not work well upstairs, ran HOT- like the vents didn’t work. We had 6 people for our condo, which they knew and we were only given 4 bath towels. When we asked for more we were told to do laundry. By the time we got more it was 2 days later and at 9pm, a little too late. On Tuesday we were surprised by maintenance checking the balcony’s/Patios for damage and rotting. The workers were nice enough to knock on the door and give us a heads up- but, it should have come from the resort or management. After their work they left all their rusty, pulled out nails on the patio, (talk about a liability and just plain inconsiderate). The commutation from Portside or Panhandle was terrible. Neither side wanted to take responsibility. Our first encounter with this was trying to check in on Saturday when we arrived at 6pm. The office at Portside is closed on Saturday and Sunday, which is idiotic, as lots of people check in. Then everyday When attempting to check in nobody was there, the office said closed. Finally on Wednesday we checked in to get our bracelets and pay the $26 amenity fee. When I mentioned to the person at the front desk that we had been trying to check in all week her response was that she’s only one person. Whereas, Panhandle told us that the check in issues were not a reflection of them as they are not affiliated. Rather it’s the HOA office. (Are you kidding me?!???? Y’all all are supposed to work together and ensure guests have a great stay). Overall, poor stay, We have been beaching 30 years now and have never have this disgusting of an experience and lack of communication. We never stay in our room, only a place to change, shower and sleep. We will NOT return. This place was disgusting and beyond disappointing. Y’all need to do better.

Great Place

Great place we were a bit disappointed when we arrived our balcony and porch was under construction due to storm damage and we were unaware. The property managers did take care of it and discounted my stay so I am pleased with that. Aside from that the stay was great the condo was nice the whole property was well maintained. The kids loved the pools and the short walk to the beach.

vacation in July

location was great . We had trouble with dishwasher a couple of times. Maintenance did fix problem which was great. carpet on stairs needed to be replaced. I slipped and hurt my knee.

Great Vacation Home

The condo was decently clean, with a few things that were missed last time it was cleaned, but no big deal. One thing I was worried about was both the sliding glass doors had issues with them, the second floor glass door was very difficult to open and close and the first floor glass door was hard to lock. Other than that everything else was extremely nice. 8/10 would stay here again!

June 2020 vacation

We had a good deal of difficulty trying to finalize and pay for our condo prior to arriving. They were extremely difficult to contact and we got different info depending on who we spoke with. Then, upon arriving at the ck in time of 4:00pm, we couldn’t get in because they had just started cleaning it. The cleaning crew said they had just learned that they were supposed to clean that unit. Then, we had a problem with our air conditioner and couldn’t get anyone to text us back about the problem. My husband ended up repairing it himself! We liked the family atmosphere of the facility, but the unit we stayed in indicated it was updated but it was not! We were not impressed with it at all. We enjoyed our vacation, but we won’t be back to this condo unfortunately.

Good price for a pretty decent condo!

First off, let me say that Geneva with Panhandle was great to work with! Definitely go directly thru them or their website to book!! Unfortunately, it is a little more than a quick walk to the beach from the unit that we were in. But, they would allow you to park near the front of the complex and then walk across. The cleaning crew might need to do a little more. There was a lot of hair and dust under and at the base of furniture. And, there is NOT a Tiki Hut. The unit was well stocked in the kitchen, other than not having a colander. Only 4 bath towels were left for 4 people for 4 nights. A couple more would have been nice, but there is a washer and dryer. Beds were ok, water pressure was excellent. You must set the bar on the sliding glass door, the lock does not work. The pools are nice, but the only hot tub is WAY TOO hot. By the way, you have to pay for a bracelet for each person in your party to go to any activities when you check in and pay for your parking pass. All is cash only. I would stay again, especially for the price!!! We enjoyed ourselves!
