100% would book again

Great place to stay! Cleanest place we’ve ever stayed, and pics are 100% accurate. Beach chair rental was easy, entrance to the facility is gated and secure, and location is close to anything else you want to do!

Great spot in Destin

The location was perfect and convenient as you walked out the back door into the pool area. Very close to the beach. The unit was decorated nicely and was clean. We will definitely stay here again

Unit was nice and in a great location. The deck and beach were so enjoyable. We will be back. There were some maintenance issues that need to be addressed. The light switch in the second bedroom is loose and flickers. There is virtually no seal around the front door and we were there during a cold snap causing the floors to be cold and drafty especially in the kitchen area. The toilet in the second bathroom has a slow leak from the tank to the bowl causing the tank to refill every couple of hours around the clock. There is patching in the entrance area that needs to be painted. We only had four forks which made cooking and eating a little inconvenient. We purchased a bathtub mat as the floor in the master bedroom tub was extremely slick and my husband almost had a fall. These are all very minor issues but unless you stayed there, you wouldn't be aware. Thank you!

We love Pelican Beach Resort. We have stayed 4-5 other places in Destin and this is our favorite. This room was great, first floor location is awesome for families with kids (don’t ever have to go to the lobby or elevator) and right next to one of the pools. Few minor things need updated/looked at - needs spoons (there were only 2 and then many large serving spoons) and needs a few baking sheets. Overall had lots of kitchen appliances to make meals and coffee in the room! Love that you can do laundry in the room, ideal for a family! Would definitely stay here again!

Soccer Fun.

We stayed here for a soccer tournament for my grandkids. The locate was great and it being on the 1st floor was an extra bonus for us with small kids. It was just off the pool. The property manager was great. We left our daughter's championship shirt there and the property manager that I spoke with located it and is shipping it to us. Condo was very clean and well stocked. Would stay there again.

Ground floor condo, twin toddler boys, perfect location. Easy access to front door, easy access to pool and beach. Zero entry pool perfect for everyone, short walk to beach, perfect for everyone. Can't believe we have never rented a ground floor condo before. The best way to vacay with kids.

Great location

Great location, close to beach, lots of pools and great food! Property needed some work done, second spa was cold and they closed one because of lack of lighting. Unit was nice, but it was dirty. There was food on the ground, dishes weren’t all clean, very dusty. Sheets weren’t washed when we arrived, we had to clean them.

Resort Great, Room 114 Terrible

I can say the Pelican Beach Resort has some great amenities, 3 great pools, a Tiki Bar, a Café where the food is great, and is the shortest walk to the beach we’ve ever had. That being said, I will never book a room through Panhandle Getaways or VRBO for this resort again, we stayed in this unit and everything about it was worn out, the back patio door, the furniture, the beds, the cookware, there was nothing comfortable about this room. If we stay there again we’ll be booking straight through the resort.

Overall a great unit but one big issue with the resort

We loved the unit and the location on the lower level. However, we had one big issue with the property and that was the beach chair policy. We've never stayed anywhere that required you to purchase chairs to sit up by the water. The entire length of the beach was blocked by 5 or so rows of chairs. A very poor policy and will definitely be a consideration if we come back.

Memorial Day weekend Beach trip

Checking in process was great. The condo itself had many issues..broken toilet, broken ceiling fan, bug on the bed. The condo could have been a little bit cleaner & needs updating. I was not impressed at all with the amount of money we paid. It was not disclosed that we had to rent the condos chairs and umbrellas to be able to get a beach view. We were in the very back behind all the chairs no Waterview. They need to disclose this when you are renting your condo.

Pictures Deceiving

Based on the pictures this condo looked so clean, up to date, etc. However upon arrival we noticed moldy shower curtain in mast bath and mold around tub. Garbage disposal did not work. We did not realize this until the day we were leaving. The utensil drawer is broken. It was just a little sad to see such a nice condo just not taken very good care of. You would think the cleaning crew would notice the mold shower curtain. On the good side, the AC was awesome, the beds were comfortable. Nice location just needs some extra love inside. Panhandle Getaways was very responsive during our stay. We were hoping to extend stay but they had no availability close to us.

Simply perfect!!

So I’m not one to write reviews, but this one deserves one. Stayed with my family for 3 days here and it was absolutely beautiful. Very clean, and with it being on the ground floor it was so much easier then having to go up and down elevators. Everything from checking in , parking, getting to the pool and beach was with ease. The location, you just can’t ask for a more perfect spot. Everything is so close.I’m definitely planning another trip!!!

We loved everything about this property and the Room 114 it was fully equipped with everything you need for a long stay, it was beautiful, walk right out to the pool and to the beach. Room 114 was beautifully decorated and very clean, we will be back for sure.

Needs some updates and upkeep

When we checked in the condo was very dirty. The dishes had not been cleaned, floor was dirty, dusty every on all the furniture, and unclean bathrooms. The beds are very uncomfortable and the patio door is very hard to open. The only thing good to say about this property is the convenience of it being on the first floor by the pools. Very disappointed with are stay.

limited ocean access

When checking in staff at front desk was not helpful at all, because we had booked through vrbo they couldn't help us with anything...even room number. Condo was spacious and clean. Cannot view ocean from room so that was a bit of a disappointment since it was listed as ocen view. Only chairs that are rented can be on front 3 rows of beach and those were sold out so you had to sit so far back you couldn't see ocean. Will not stay here again due to this fact.
