Dieses Öko-Anwesen befindet sich auf einer Klippe mit Blick auf den Pazifik, Bajilla de Paplotes (Kites Bay) und La Bufadora! Nur wenige Minuten von der Haustür entfernt gibt es unzählige Wanderwege, Gezeitenpools zum Schnorcheln und Schwimmen, einen abgeschiedenen Strand in Crocodile Cove sowie den Meeresgeysir und den lokalen Markt in der Stadt La Bufadora. Sie können sogar eine Weintour im Guadalupe Wine Valley buchen, die nur eine Stunde entfernt ist, oder in der 45 Minuten entfernten Innenstadt von Ensenada tanzen gehen.

Die Unterkünfte im Baja Off the Grid sind zu 100% mit Solarenergie betrieben und verfügen über eigenes Wasser und Gas vor Ort. Wir haben einen Ersatz-Propan-Generator für diese bewölkten Tage. Abgesehen davon sind unsere Ressourcen wertvoll und begrenzt. Wir bitten darum, dass alle unsere Gäste achtsam sind und möglichst sparen. Dies beinhaltet: kürzere Duschen, nachts die Geräte ausstecken, weniger spülen und sich mit unserer schönen natürlichen Umgebung verbinden.

Es gibt 3 Unterkünfte in Baja Off the Grid. El Rancho Del Mar (Eintrag # 1102341), El Castillo Del Mar (Eintrag Nr. 848729) und La Casa Del Mar (Stand Nr. 1089684). Jede Eigenschaft hat seinen eigenen Eingang, Balkon / Deck, Feuerstelle, Küche und Wohn / Schlafbereich. A must stay if you want to get away.

Our family had an amazing and relaxing vacation at this gorgeous home. It’s spacious bedrooms, living room, kittchen made it very comfortable to lounge in. We enjoyed the hikes around the beach areas and the breathtaking ocean scenery and sunsets. A big thank you to Igor and family, for going above and beyond with their hospitality.

Off The Beaten Path Beauty

If there was one thing to take away from this trip, it is that WE collectively as a people do not stop to truly relax and enjoy our surroundings anymore. We are constantly inundated with distractions from our phones, computers and televisions...This place will change all that. Castillo del Mar is architecturally beautiful with wood beamed ceilings and giant glass windows that open onto the expansive decks over the Pacific ocean. The views are just as they are in the pictures...magical. From the moment you step on the deck there is an overwhelming sense of calmness and peace. The house is appointed with beautiful artwork and modest furnishings. Igor was a fantastic communicator and contacted me the day before we were arriving to make sure that we had everything we needed. If you need something while you are there, massages, dinner prepared, horseback riding etc. Igor will make it happen for you. Overall, the trip was fantastic and we had a much needed break from the hustle and bustle of the real world. I hope to be back in Baja and stay on this little slice of heaven sometime soon. * I would recommend however that groups do not travel here with little children. We traveled with a group of 4 children aged 5 and under and although they had a wonderful time being together (and Igor was fantastic with them), because of the location and the way the house is situated on the cliff, it makes for a very dangerous setting. The house is not set up for young people and their safety. I would recommend families with children 10 and under choose another property until they are a bit older.

Beautiful place with an amazing host!

This was such an amazing trip! The house was breathtaking and comfortable for our large group. It was such a fun and adventurous weekend thanks to our extraordinary host Igor! He planned and coordinated our entire weekend, making everything run as smooth as possible. We had such an amazing time, I'm still dreaming about this place!

The home was absolutely beautiful and Igor and the other people on the property were very helpful and accommodating. The natural beauty available on the property was unreal, tide pools, private beaches, natural geysers, dramatic views, and relative seclusion it had it all. The only reason I am not giving five stars is that it seemed a bit silly to charge $5 per device for wifi when we were already paying over $1000 dollars for our 2 night stay. Other than that we loved the house and found it easy to work around the eco requirements. We would definitely stay here again, we had a great time.

Outstanding property, If you want to getaway we definitely recommend this out of the norm experience. The property was perfect for our large group plenty of room, the large open living area leading into the patio was perfect for Bringing the family together. There was so much to do and not enough time, from the food to the sightseeing and much more like a night out in downtown Ensenada, wine tasting experience and so much more we will need to go back and do the only regret was not booking the full week.The service provided was far beyond what we expected and truly took the experience to the next level.

This place will not disappoint!

We had an amazing time here getting away from the usual. Pictures do not do this house justice, just one sunset from the deck and you'll forget everything! Igor has truly made this a one of a kind destination unlike any I've experienced. His caretaker Jose Luis is a diamond in the rough who will help get the most out of your time if he's available. Drinking coffee while watching the fishing boats come and go, eating mussels from the tide pools, sitting around a campfire on the sea cliff; just a few things I think about daily since being home. Normally I wouldn't return to the same place but this is most certainly an exception. We will be back!!

Wonderful Setting!

We loved the house so much! The views were amazing and the location was perfect. Igor showed us some awesome hikes just off the house and we enjoyed the perfect balance of outdoorsy activities and hanging with our party at the house. We loved how secluded and "away from it all" we were. It was perfect for our bachelorette party. I highly recommend if you are looking for a beautiful, relaxing getaway!

Awesome View

Beautiful home right on the water. We spent a good part of our time on the balcony just enjoying the view. Kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, etc. Fun hiking and tide pooling right out the door. A gorgeous beach a short though hilly hike away. We had eleven people some of our nights and it did not feel crowded. It's off the grid but we didn't have to modify our behavior much (with 11 people). Just what Igor mentions in the description and not really all of that. We had a great time.

Unforgettable Stay!!!

The view is impossible to capture in words. This place is absolutely beautiful. The description given by the owner does a great job laying out the pros and cons of being off the grid, if this type of stay sounds good to you this is the place! It exceeded my expectations by a long shot. The beds were super comfy. The short hikes to the nearby beaches are fantastic. Both Igor and Alejandro were more accommodating and helpful than anyone I have ever worked with on VRBO.

Great House / Great view off the beaten path

Stayed at the house for a week in November. House had everything we needed and is well equipped. Locating it the first time could be a challenge but owner had his guy escort us up and do the walk through on the house. While the house is "off the grid", we had no issues with power, hot water, etc.. Would stay there again.

Would come again for sure

our stay was wonderful, everything clean, really peaceful and quiet with lot of stars during the night, will absolutely come back in the future. Be sure to bring enough supplies for your stay because once you get there you don't want to go out shopping. The beds were confortable and clean and we didn't have any issue with water or power. The sunset is amazing and you can hear the waves whispering, very relaxing.

Beautiful Oceanfront View

Everything about the property was great. Breath taking view of the ocean. The home was perfectly clean and well equipped for all of our needs and wants. The owner was very easy to work with and very accessible, but never got in our way. The property worked exceptionally well for a party of 10 people that ranged in age from 8 to 61 with easy access to the town and nightlife of Ensenada, La Bufadora. For those who seek adventure , there is plenty of areas to explore. Thanks Igor for the amazing stay, would recommend bajaoffthegrid to all 😊

Baja getaway, truly away

This is a unique property that is perfect for those who are seeking peace, quiet, a beautiful house, stunning scenery and seclusion. The good news is that you are off the beaten path but some could also view it as a negative if you want to get somewhere quickly. It is one of the last properties on the point located across the bay from the La Bufadora. The dirt road to the property is hilly and windy so the owner was wise in having an escort available for those not familiar with the area. Try to avoid using a passenger car. The house has all the amenities of a modern house. The kitchen has a large island which can seat everyone and electricity and water were not a problem. We didn't miss using a microwave or the use of a hairdryer. I would definitely return if I had a party of 4-6 to accommodate.
