We've stayed in Sanibel and Captiva many times before but this was our first visit with other family members. Everything from the landscaping to the pool to the unit was beautifully maintained. Centrally located and very comfortable. Highly recommend this property for a great vacation. The property manager was professional and friendly, the rental agency made everything so easy and smooth that we wish they were handling all our vacations! Now if we could only fix the rental car situation at Fort Myers airport!

He helped with luggage and groceries and gave us great recommendations for restaurants on the island. Elevator and grocery cartade hauling a breeze. The storage locker attached to the unit was well supplied with beach necessities. The washing machine was a bit tricky to use. Directions would be helpful. Also, bring everything, including salt and pepper! Loved it! So convenient to the beach and pool was great. Very quiet unit when we were there.

The condo itself is beautiful; very spacious (2000 sf), great kitchen layout, very nice bathrooms with large showers. Internet was OK; weak in one of the bedrooms. Mattresses were average, and pretty standard for a rental. The unit has verrry limited views of the water, but the beach is only about 200 feet. The pool is very small and somewhat dated. The unit is next to a large public beach access so it can get a little crowded. Overall, very nice accommodations!

Hi Kyle, We hope this finds you well! Thank you for taking the time to write regarding your recent stay with us in Pine Cove #101. I do want to provide reassurance that this condo is now under new ownership as of July of 2022. The new owner's have replaced all appliances, painted the entire condo, new mattresses and box springs on all 4 beds, replaced all TV's, (nothing smaller than a 50"), new Wifi booster, New Comfortable Furniture throughout, new lighting throughout, organized and replaced kitchen items, new bed linens, bath towels and kitchen towels. New Photos are scheduled to be taken on September 16, 2022. Pine Cove #101 is a spacious condo offering a lot of room. It is located on the first floor up, providing a lush tropical view of the Gulf of Mexico. The association does trim trees once to two times a year. Typically, the public beach access does not influence the beach in front of Pine Cove. I do know we've been a bit busier than normal causing a little more activity on Sanibel and Captiva beaches. Beautiful location!

This is a beautiful condo with a ton of space! The bedrooms are quite large. The pool area was great and the walk to the beach was quick. We had a couple of things that we were upset about. In the bedroom with twin beds, we found a large amount of dust bunnies all over the wall where the beds were. I get that it is difficult to clean behind beds but it was between them as well… not exaggerating when I say dust bunnies! Also, the master bed was almost impossible to sleep on. It had huge dips in it. The couple sleeping in there actually tried sleeping the opposite direction to see if that would help. It did not! They found that it felt broken in the middle as well. When they sat on the edge of the bed, it dipped all the way down. The other bedroom was great… no problems at all. The tv in the living room stopped working on day 3… we called and someone came a few hours later to check it. The gentleman was lovely. Stated it was a broken cable. He changed it and left. The tv still didn’t work. Not the end of the world, just tough with twin toddlers. One more thing we found odd… in the 2 larger bedrooms there were construction supplies left out… tile, open bags of grout, etc. The grout bags left dust all over the shelving so when we put clothes on the shelves they got dust all over them. Again, not the end of the world, just irritating. Overall, I would say that this place is beautiful… small issues that didn’t impact our overall experience but should be corrected for the amount of money spent to stay here.

Incredible Unit- Large and spacious- Excellent Location-Perfection!

We just spent Easter week in Pine Cove 101. This unit was incredibly well equipped. The three bedrooms are large and spacious. The unit is VERY clean and bathrooms all new and updated. The kitchen had EVERYTHING we needed and more. Laundry in unit was great. We were just a family of 4 but felt we could've had a couple more people with us no problem. I loved the decor of the unit with the rattan. Felt very old-school (but new) Florida. The unit comes with 2 parking spots, which is great. There is a great locker of sand toys/chairs (they could update their chairs). The pool/hot tub is a nice size. There are a lot of RULES at the pool. There is also someone who walks around an REMINDS you, so if you are a large group or unruly, you have potential to be reprimanded. This was probably the only negative of our amazing trip. We are a very gracious family and always leave any place we stay perfect, if not better than how it was left. I had one beer sitting by pool and was told not to have drinks at pool. My daughter (who is under 12) went into the hot tub for 2 minutes and was told to get out. There is a sign saying no children under 12, but I am watching and letting her try it for literally 2 minutes. Regardless of this, it did not detract from our incredible trip. The beach is right behind the pool. It is amazing for shell-hunting. It really is a kid's paradise. Pine Cove is in a primo spot, close to all restaurants and a quick drive to Captiva. The condo is next to Tarpon Bay Public Beach so the beach does get probably more crowded than others based on it's proximity to the public access but assuming we were there peak week, still wasn't totally packed and would clear out as day continued. This unit is a FIND and you should rent it!

Reviewer Comments: we had a great week staying in this condo. it is a great location right on the beach but a very short drive (or walk or bike ride) to restaurants and a few shops. Condo was clean and well-appointed. There is access to a storage closet with tons of beach supplies. Pool and hot tub was never crowded. My only negative comment is the TVs in living room and bedrooms are a little on the small side...but who goes to beach to watch TV.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our unit was beautifully furnished and a lovely location. We would definitely consider requesting this unit again. However, there are several issues with the unit that made our stay less than it should have been, and the owner should be made aware, as most of the difficulties were with "advertised" amenities that were not available to us. 1. The right front burner on the stove does not work. 2. with the exception of the living room, none of the other 3 TVs in the bedrooms functioned. I have young adult daughters/son in law who are very tech savvy, and we just finally gave up. We all enjoy bedtime TV viewing and could not enjoy that feature. The twin bed room has a "error" message that would not go away, the Master TV just did not work, and the Queen room had to be operated with the buttons on the side of the TV as the remote was non-functional. 3) There were no dish rags, scrubbers, etc for the kitchen, and only 3 dish towels. Not reasonable for a party of 5, and the paying guests should not have to buy supplies in order to clean the kitchen after meals. 4) Laundry room door does not close to cut down on the noise5)Garbage disposal has loose blades and rattles. Not that is doesn't work, just wanted you to be aware. 5)CLOTHES DRYER IS USELESS. WE SPENT OUR ENTIRE VACATION TAKING TURNS WALKING BACK FROM THE BEACH TO RESTART THE DRYER, AS A SIMPLE LOAD OF LIGHT LAUNDRY NEEDED 3 TO 4 HOURS OF REPEAT CYCLES TO DRY. UNACCEPTABLE TO ADVERTISE LAUNDRY FACILITIES AND HAVE A DRYER THAT NEEDED 7 OR 8 CYCLES TO DRY A LOAD OF CLOTHES. and yes, we emptied the lint trap every load. As you can see, so many of the advertised amenities were a "no go", which seems a bit deceptive in the description of the property. Again, we loved the floor plan and layout of the unit, but would not rent again without assurances that these issues had been addressed and resolved.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is the third time we have rented Pine Cove 101. Overall we had a good experience besides a few things. The unit smelled of cigarette smoke which we had to call management about. Once the odor eliminating spray wore off we smelled it again. The carpet in the front guest bedroom is badly stained now. Kind of nasty looking in our opinion. Unit had a lot of ants! In front bedroom as well as all over kitchen. New cooking pans are needed in the unit. The ones that are there are badly scratched and unsafe to use. Also, pool was very dirty so we had to clean everyday. However, once we called management a man was there fixing the pool for two days. After the maintenance things did improve. We love Sanibel and the location of Pine Cove. However for the cost of this unit I would be open to looking into more updated units next time for rental.

It is very beautiful, clean, and a great location. The dryer wasn’t working our first day there and we needed it for wet swim suits. The maintenance man came the next morning, which was a Saturday (wow!).

Property is Great!!!

The units are spacious and the pool and water are literally just steps. Our second stay here and wouldn’t hesitate to call Select Properties and this property again.
