PERFEKTE SHOREDITCH WOHNUNG - BRIGHT, AIRY, AC, WIFI, WASCHMASCHINE / TROCKNER, ZENTRALHEAT

We were notified of a smell in the shower by the guest which we suggested a solution for, and also had our plumber visit within 24hrs to address (unfortunately the guest only told us about this the night before they left when they also made it clear that their solution was to have the heating and airconditioning on simultaneously with the windows wide open rather than just put some bleach down the offending drain.) They also managed to bang luggage everywhere and slam doors open and closed leaving street doors open as if they were born in a barn. We missed leaving a review for them but hey...

Difficult to comment properly on this guest's review but for to say this flat costs 1/4 the price of a hotel a few hundred feet up the street, and is three times the size of the room she would have obtained for what she paid. Without her own fully equipped kitchen, washer&dryer, and other amenities. Context is everything...and yes it is a busy neighborhood so perhaps the choice of neighborhood to stay in is for the guest to figure out...we cannot move the property from what some may consider the coolest part of London these days, but she could have stayed elsewhere (although probably not for the same price...)

First, lets start with what Jackie leaves out: this flat is in one of the most expensive areas of London these days. Where a room at the hotel up the street big enough to fit a queensize bed into is at least 3x the price of this flat per night. Which is 450sf as clearly stated in the description. It is a compact, perfect launch pad to enjoy London. The bed is indeed on a platform, due to spacial necessity in the flat. While there may not be sockets everywhere there are more than enough. Noted on the blinds and we will rectify this by replacing them imminently. All instructions for all appliances are in the kitchen drawers, and noted as such in the instruction booklet for the flat. Jackie is correct that no one meets and greets. This is not unusual and has never been a problem for other guests. Apparently for jacket a heated towel rail is not somewhere to hang towels. The dryer is a high specification siemens model. But as with all dryers how dry items become is partly a function of load - overload them and things do not dry properly. The flat is indeed in the thick of the action. And as this is central central London yes there are ambulances and police cars and people out having fun. The flat has sound insulation to regulation standards which are very stringent, as well as secondary double glazing with special sound damping glass. Most guests do not have noise issues. The countryside is nice and quiet and also about an hour from central London if that is preferred. Finally, yes there are extra charges for a maid to come to clean, wash linens and towels and change the bed. This is because they have to be paid. If we were charging 3x like the hotel up the street we could include this. But most guests prefer to pay for cleaning if they choose to rather than incorporate it into the price and not use it. Jackie was very demanding as a guest and it would seem has little grasp for the value vs location of this flat which others more familiar with central London and Shoreditch in particular seem to understand. We gave Jackie 4*. Which is rare as short of leaving the place in a sorry state we always give 5* reviews.
