So glad you enjoyed your stay at the Farmhouse. The fall colors this time of year are fantastic! Just off I-435, you can get anywhere in the greater kc metro in 20 minutes. Just 5 minutes to the stadiums and just 10 minutes to downtown KC. Super convenient!

Thanks Chris! It is not one of those cookie cutter homes. This old Farmhouse was a 2 br 1 bath, lovingly restored and converted to a 3 br 2.5 bath. We blew out the old 2x4 ceiling joists and added the Loft bedroom and half bath. The floors in the Loft are repurposed railroad car flooring. When we did that, we also added the Cathedral vaulted ceilings, covered w/ T&G w/pine car siding. Oftentimes, misnamed shiplap. We also added the reclaimed Oak beams, completely modernized the kitchen w/ a Dacor gas range, upgraded the bathrooms and upsized the closets. It was the first property we designed as a short-term rental. The yard and 200 y.o. Burr Oak trees make it the most majestic property in the Kansas City VRBO market. The Farmhouse has two master bedrooms on the main level with full bathrooms en-suite. The kid's loft upstairs has two full size and a 1/2 bath. The Farmhouse is very close to Arrowhead and Royals stadium, the KC Zoo, Starlight Theatre, and I-435. You can zoom to anywhere in the greater KC area in less than 30 minutes and get Downtown in 10 minutes. Close enough to the City with a Country retreat atmosphere. Hi Laverne, Thank you for the kind words. But, we can't take all the credit for "thinking of everything...." While we did our best to stock this place with all the necessities and comforts of life, we did not think of everything on our own. Thankfully, we have had several kind guests, who have made good suggestions. We have taken them all to heart and implemented each and every one of them. For travelers who take the time to read the farmhouse reviews, a pattern will emerge. A pattern of excellence and listening to our guests. The implementation of many good ideas is what made your experience a great 5 stay! We share some of the same favorite things at the property. Just know that of the many improvements inside, the upstairs loft bedroom w/ 1/2 bath and the loft library are reclaimed attic space. Our favorite thing is the amazing forest that the farmhouse is nestled in. I am a Kansas City native and real estate pro, but I had never seen another plot like this one. Like the day I spotted my wife, it was love at first sight! Even though the house looked nothing like it does today, it was a true diamond in the rough. My wife was a diamond then and now...! Great location for Chiefs or Royals Games! Also uber close to the KC Zoo and Starlight theater. Farmhouse is in the city limits, but is about 15 minutes to Downtown, depending on traffic and your mph!

So glad it worked out in your favor! This old Farmhouse is located within city limits. Very relaxing home surrounded by 100+ year old burr oaks. If traffic permits, then one can be downtown in only ten minutes. We hope others get the opportunity to enjoy this property in the future.

Thank you for the suggestions to improve future guest experiences. We have added a dusk to dawn light above the garage to light up the back driveway better. We have also added a stream smart device for cable channels, roller shades in the master and the A/C is blowing cold!
