Gite in der Nähe von Bagneres de Bigorre, Hautes-Pyrenees, Midi-Pyrenäen, Frankreich - Ruhige Lage mit herrlichem Bergblick und Gemeinschaftspool.

Dieses geräumige und gut ausgestattete Ferienhaus befindet sich am Ende unseres Bauernhauses aus dem 18. Jahrhundert und liegt auf einem 1 Hektar großen, nach Süden ausgerichteten Garten mit einem 10m x 5m großen Pool mit herrlicher Naturlandschaft mit herrlichem Bergblick.

Wir befinden uns an der Basis der Haute Pyrenäen im Dorf Cieutat, die eine traditionelle "Boulangerie" bietet frisch gebackenes Brot / Croissants und Konditorei jeden Morgen.

Gites de Bigorre ist der perfekte Ort für jeden Event- oder Aktivitätsurlaub, den Sie planen - oder einfach nur zur totalen Entspannung in einer atemberaubenden Umgebung.

Die gite ist gut platziert für alle bergaktivitäten i. E Skifahren, Radfahren, Wandern auf allen Ebenen, Mountainbiken, Paragliding, Reiten, Vogelbeobachtung und Angeln. Für Golfer gibt es einen wunderschönen internationalen 18-Loch-Platz (mit Blick auf die Berge) innerhalb einer 5-minütigen Fahrt. Oder nehmen Sie die Dinge in einem gemütlichen Tempo und besuchen Sie die lokalen Bergdörfer, in der Nähe von Pau, schöne St. Bertrand de Comminges, eine Pilgerfahrt nach Lourdes, nehmen Sie einen Tagesausflug über die Berge in Spanien über die vielen Pässe oder Tunnel oder besuchen Sie eine der zahlreichen Thermalbäder.

Die Tour de France ist auch eine große Attraktion hier im Juli und im Winter gibt es einige der besten Ski- und Wintersportanlagen in den Pyrenäen.

Die Gite profitiert von einem gemeinsamen Pool in der Privatsphäre des Hauptgartens mit fantastischem Panoramablick. Der perfekte Weg, um einen aktiven Tag zu beenden oder einfach nur den Tag zu entspannen.

Obwohl das Ferienhaus für Selbstversorger sehr gut ausgestattet ist, gibt es im nahe gelegenen Kurort Bagneres de Bigorre viele Bars und Restaurants. Oder in den gepflegten Gärten gibt es Steingrills mit zahlreichen Sitzgelegenheiten, die einen herrlichen Blick auf die Berge bieten.

Perfect place for our holiday

We wanted accommodation that had easy access to the mountains but also had a swimming pool. A view of the mountains was essential. This gite ticked all the boxes and we had a fabulous holiday. I agree with all the other reviews; the views, our hosts, the facilities and the cleanliness were all spot on. A week wasn't enough to visit all the places we want to in this stunning region so hopefully we'll return and spend longer in Gites de Bigorre.

Relaxing gite in the countryside

6 of us stayed a week in late June. Ample space, 2 br and bath downstairs, open kitchen and reception room upstairs. Toilet upstairs. A car is necessary, as the village has no shops, just a bakery open daytime. The stairs are quite steep, but navigable, even by an elderly person with a recent hip fracture. The owners/hosts are charming, eager to help, and keep the pool and grounds very clean. Highly recommended.

Beautiful Gite Beautiful place

Arrived in sunshine and it stayed all week. Lovely Gite in excellent condition all looked brand new. Kerry and Mike are very welcoming and although onsite keep their distance but around if help is needed. Pool kept immaculately clean. Great barbecues which are easy to use. Can truly say this was the most relaxing holiday I have had in years. Pic du midi worth a visit and Bagneres de bigorre has everything you need. Also ideal location for cyclists if like my husband that's your thing. Hopefully be back.

De très agréables vacances...

Le gîte est vraiment très sympa, bien placé avec une vue magnifique, et très très bien équipé (petit bémol des ados sur la connexion WIFI...mais la piscine a rattrapé le coup!). Les chambres en bas permettent d'être au frais les jours de forte chaleur, ce qui est très appréciable. Kerry et Mike savent être à notre disposition tout en restant discrets, merci pour votre accueil. Un petit goût de trop peu...

Lovely gite in beautiful location

We had chosen this gite on the basis of its proximity to the Tour de France and it exceeded our expectations in every way. A week here was simply not enough! Our one bedroom accommodation was well presented, well equipped and just the right size, but it was the views that made it so special, Our floor to ceiling window in the living room upstairs had amazing views across the fields and village to the Pyrenees beyond. During the day we enjoyed swimming in the pool and in the evenings we loved to sit outside with a glass of wine, reading or just drinking in the view. There is a good bakery in the village and plenty of shops and restaurants in nearby Bagnères de Bigorre. There are also lots of lovely places to visit in the area and a very good spa in town. If you are a walker or a cyclist or if you just want a relaxing week or two, then I would recommend this gite. Many thanks to Kerry and Mike for a fabulous week.

highly recommend

Spent a week here with our son and daughter in this very clean and comfortable gite. Beautiful views from upstairs sitting room. Accommodation well equipped and we made full use of the well maintained pool area and barbecue. Kerry and Michael were so helpful from the moment we booked and assisted so much during our stay. They never intruded on our privacy but were always available when we needed advice and information. Great rural location and fabulous village bakery. Easy drive to local villages and Pau and Lourdes. Pre booked evening meal on night of arrival and had a wonderful meal and wine provided. We highly recommend this lovely accommodation which is in a great location for visiting the Midi Pyrenees area Dont forget to spend a night or two in lovely Toulouse.

Perfect gite for a family holiday

Our family stayed in both properties on the site. The owners were incredibly helpful from the time of booking right up to when we left, and made sure that we had everything we needed for a fantastic stay. The setting is magnificent - amazing views of the mountains, very peaceful, yet ideally situated for everyday shopping and sightseeing trips. The gites are very well equipped, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The pool area is very well maintained, and the pool itself is a great size, with spectacular views. One week wasn't enough as there is lots to do in the area. We very much hope to return to the same property as we all loved it - thank you.

Gite Pic Du Midi

A beautiful gite in a rural idyll in the foothills of the Pyrenees..a real gem of a place! We enjoyed a wonderful holiday with our 4 children aged 10 and under. The hosts were welcoming and attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The gite was clean, well-appointed and spacious and the upstairs did indeed boast fabulous mountain views on a clear day. The use of laundry facilities for a nominal sum proved helpful. The lovely pool and garden with BBQ area ensured we never wanted to stray too far for too long! As well as relaxing by the pool, we enjoyed day trips out and found more than enough to explore. All in all, a great gite in a beautiful location. We would definitely recommend.

Gite Pic Du Midi

We really enjoyed our two weeks in Gite Pic du Midi. The setting is fabulous and the Gites is lovely. Kerry and Mike were perfect hosts and nothing was too much trouble for them. The pool was delightful after a day walking, when it was too hot to walk, or when we just wanted to relax and take in the view. Overall a truly great holiday.

?We arrived at the gite, a little later than we hoped, due to the busy roads in France that weekend. The directions we had been given proved to be very helpful in finding the gite which is on the fringes of a small and typical French village. The gite itself is very well appointed, the English owners are experienced themselves in gite holidays, so they made sure that everything is provided to make the stay as comfortable as possible. The kitchen facilities made home cooking easy with a good sized fridge freezer and all you would need to cook for a family. The style of furnishing is modern and functional and the owners go out of their way to ensure that the gite is set up to suit each letting, for example the beds can be doubles or singles, and evening meals are available if you wish. The beds in the gite are new, very comfortable and well dressed. The gite is arranged with the bedrooms downstairs and the living accommodation upstairs which keeps the bedrooms cool for a good nights sleep. A car is essential to make the most of the beautiful surrounding towns and villages, and there is plenty to see and do in this part of France. The pool area is brand new and we enjoyed many lazy hours in and out of the water. The owners live in the main farmhouse and are on hand to answer queries or advise on just about anything! They went out of their way to ensure that we had a lovely stay and I would definitely recommend this gite to anyone who wants to 'get away from it all' and likes peace and quiet on holiday. ? ? ? ?

Gite de Bigorre

The gite was very clean and met the detailed requirements although we did not find the beds very comfortable. I think sleeping 7 is rather ambitious as the plastic covered convertible sofa would be extremely hot to sleep on and I don't think would easily sleep two people. The swimming pool was lovely. It was very clean as was the area around the pool. We enjoyed a swim every day after going out to explore.I would recommend some kind of hand rail for getting in and out. The flies were a problem when the windows were open in the gite and I hope the owners have done something about providing cover for the windows to stop the flies coming in. It is too hot with the windows closed in the upstairs living area. The velux windows need a strong blind or shutters to provide shade from the sun when it hits that side of the barn. We found the bedrooms just cool enough as they are downstairs but again with door/windows open the flies were a problem. If the problems I mentioned were to be sorted out I would recommend the gite to others as they gave us a warm welcome and wanted to ensure that we enjoyed our stay. The gite is well positioned for exploring the area including the higher areas of the Pyrenees.

I am surprised at the comment re the beds as I did enquire as to the comfort of the beds and the gite in general and was told that they were comfortable but a little warm due to the summer heat. Fans were provided but the guests chose not to use them. With regards to the sofa bed, this wasn’t used as there were only 2 guests in the party, it is a standard faux leather 140cm double. The pool is newly constructed and has in built corner steps giving easy access in and out of the water. We are located in a beautiful rural location and unfortunately some flies are inevitable, however I have taken on board this comment and fly screens are now provided at the larger window. Regarding the velux’s these are located over the stairs and kitchen area to allow natural light in. Many thanks for your feedback and we are more than happy with the 4 out of 5 rating.
