Lovely big family villa

Huge villa, lots of space for 2 families to enjoy. Nice pool. Pool table is a bit worn and parasols not all working but still great value for money. Would book again.

Family fun

Great Villa for families. Pool table & table tennis enjoyed by adults & teenagers alike. Lovely pool to cool off in, and the hot tub a bonus. Kitchen well furnished with appliances and utensils etc. Owner Kathy was very helpful and responded to any enquiries promptly. Villa is a little further from the centre of the main part of the town, fine for the younger members of our party to walk but if of the more mature age group then the taxis are plentiful and reasonably cheap. Highly recommend this villa.

The perfect gateway for a relaxing girls trip

This villa was the perfect home from home for a relaxing girls trip away. Kathy was a great host, with good communication from booking, prior to arrival and checking in during our stay. The villa itself was setup perfectly for us with nice little touches and decor. Pool and hot tub were wonderful. Kitchen had pretty much everything we needed during our stay. Location is great only a 15 min walk to the beach front area and taxis were so easy to get. Only recommendations would be maybe cushion toppers for the sun beds as they weren't the most comfortable. A wonderful stay!!

Great place! Lovely villa! Felt very comfortable as very clean . Such a gorgeous villa deserves credit, Kathy has done a really good job as I’m as fussy as they come with accommodation. I have already recommended this villa to people that I have spoken to since being back. The week was great, tiring but we knew it would be like this with Grand Children, so was geared up ready. We will definitely be re-booking for next year . Thanks Kathy for all your help x

Cancelled with some lame excuse leaving us in a tight spot!

I do not believe there was building work happening near by. As advised by the host. The booking was never actually cancelled officially which looks bad on their rating. Shame as we were really looking forward to our stay. Luckily we found somewhere else, which was recommended by the host. Dissatisfied customer here though..

Fab Time

I wrote a review then realised it was more like a novel as I have so much to say about the villa and owners service, so I have cut it down to: This Villa is 10/10 so many amenities. Area quiet with a 15-20 min walk into Marina or beach. Service from Kathy the owner was above and beyond what I expected, she sorted the cake, answered all of my questions, and set my mind at ease. I would definintely recommend her to anyone. Better than a travel agents wth service second to none, I am sure we will be visiting again soon. Thank you so much for your help and kindness. The birthday cake was one of the best chocolate cakes we have had. Michael loved it. We had an absolute fab time.

Ideal for a family holiday

Fantastically positioned villa for us, slightly away from the town centre but near enough to walk into and to the beach (Playa Dorada). Other reviews mentioned getting a taxi, however we always walked both ways with no problem. The villa was a great size, only four of us (adults) but could quite comfortably have housed the numbers advertised. The kitchen was well equipped as was the remainder of the villa, furniture comfortable, the pool and outside space were also very good. We loved sitting on the raised patio in the evenings with a fabulous view of the mountains. Kathy was great all through the process with questions we had before we went and also kindly arranged Taxi's to and from the airport, both of which were very efficient and comfortable (the four of us were actually in a 15 seater!). Some really nice touches like a big basket of towels for the pool, a welcome pack of water, some drinks and snacks, lots of books and CD's, the TV's were popular with our adult daughters with even Netflix loaded up. If we had any negatives it would be in places the Villa could do with a little TLC, nothing major just starting to look a little tired in places. There was some building work being carried out in both the Villa next door and the villa opposite (front), whilst it wasn't overly obtrusive (the builders were respectful) and certainly didn't ruin our holiday. Overall a lovely, relaxing holiday.

Not as described!

To start with the property we had rented was changed. I agreed before reaching destination as we had our trip planned already. When we got there I cannot fully describe how disappointed and frankly disgusted. The entrance to the property was only one with no gate/ broken as well as messy like no one had been there for a long time. Was told alarm would be off, it was not and alarm went off. The smell when we entered was strongly of mold and like the property had not been opened for a while. The furniture was in bad condition and one area couch smelled of urine. It looked like dirty club furniture. The house was bigger than we needed but three of the rooms were frankly unusable l. As the basement floor had the worst smell of mold that I actually was getting allergies just from walking down there. The room where linens were stored had broken handle and had the strongest smell. A cockroach was also on the floor and looked like had been there for a long time. Was told by Kathy that this was expected. Maybe for one to wander in while we are there but not before we get there. To me indicates that cleaning is definitely subpar. The walls were stained and dirty, again like no one had done a thorough cleaning for a long time. I frankly could not stay there with my infant and toddler as I was afraid of them touching anything there. The kitchen well equipped but again everything dirty. I was insisted to that there was Wi-Fi but I and two other adults could not connect. So I would say that no there was no Wi-Fi as listed. With minimal signal I could call directly so contacted via messaging. When made my complaints at the end Kathy did not respond until morning. I told her I was leaving property after few hours, I had to scramble with my family of 7 and find a last minute hotel. That’s how bad the place was. Bottom line it was not ready to rent. Found out Kathy not on the island and I believe unable to see the place firsthand. Also in the end not responsive and had no answer to my request for refund nor receiving any help from Vrbo

Lo que más me gustó fue el jacuzzi. La casa estaba muy sucia, especialmente la cocina y sus utensilios. La piscina también estaba sucia. No pudimos ver televisión ningún día, porque no conectaban los 2 televisores con la wifi. En la planta inferior no llegaba la wifi. Faltaba el mantenimiento normal de una casa. No teníamos a nadie de la casa con quién contactar en la isla. Desde luego, el precio que pagamos no se corresponde en absoluto con la calidad que nos dieron.

Short stay prior to Fuerteventura visit

My partner and I only stayed for one night as we were staying mainly in Fuerteventura. Lovely property throughout, though we did not make use of the pool or the hot tub. If we had stayed longer we would have done. The villa is in a residential area and a 5 minute taxi ride to the main town, however it was very peaceful and suited us.

A really beautiful villa. spacious loads of room. Every bedroom are agood size.

There was 11 of us that stayed. There was still loads of room so no one got under your feet. It really amazing although it is a 20 minute walk to the beach and bars it’s a nice walk . But you don’t have to leave the Villa if you don’t want to because there is your private pool and loads of room for you to sunbathe and even a hot tub. Definitely would like to stay again and would recommend it to anyone it’s one of the best family holidays we’ve ever had . Regards Marie

Great for family groups!

The property is modern with a lovely pool and hot tub area. We had 8 people there for a week and everyone had their own ample space. There is a games area too with pool, darts and table football. It is a 12 mins walk each way to the nearest supermarket which we walked to every morning. Beach is a 25 minute walk away one way and Rubicon Marina is 25 minute walk the other way. (Our 70 year old Nan had no issues as mostly flat) We really enjoyed Atlantico restaurant at the Marina and had birthday celebrations at the Volcon restaurant on Papagayo. We did not hire a car so we could all relax and taxis are only €4 back to the villa. Really relaxing. There is little shade in the garden so take a hat. Owner is very responsive anyway and provided extra stand for parasols etc. Overall a very positive experience in a lovely villa. Would highly recommend.

Ideal for large family holiday

Lovely villa. Could do with a tiny amount of TLC to justify it as being "luxury". However we couldn't fault the location or the amenities. Kitchen very well equipped with nice welcome pack of teabags, milk, juice etc. Pool is small but was perfectly adequate and the kids spent many hours in it! Plenty of sun loungers and outdoor seating. Owners arrived as we were dropping off bags and couldn't have been more helpful. They gave advice on local amenities and very kindly allowed us to stay and check in early which was much appreciated. The walk into town/beach was around 15 mins but taxis were only 3.50 ish euros and we used these a lot. Plenty of shops, bars and restaurants on the promenade. The market at the Marina is well worth a visit. As a group of 8 adults and 2 young children we found the villa had plenty of space and would highly recommend this for a large family holiday. One thing to note.....beware of the large glass sliding doors leading from the lounge to the pool. Our 5 year old granddaughter went running towards them thinking they were open and bounced off them having smacked her head on the glass resulting in a nice egg shaped lump! nothing that an ice pack and a cake didn't rectify but I would recommend keeping them open at all times if little ones are running about. Or maybe a sticker of some kind on the glass would help to see that they are closed. All in all a lovely relaxing holiday and we will definitely return to Play Blanca.

Beautiful villa

The villa is beautiful and has everything you need for a great stay did not really cook but everything you need is there. As someone stated telly system hard to figure out but rang management number and someone quickly arrived to show us how to work it . out door space is great loads of sunbeds and plenty of chairs around tables. Pool is great we all loved it and the jacuzzi lovely and warm. The villa is in a nice quiet spot around 15 mins walk to commercial centre and bars but still only 3.50 euro's in a taxi. All in all would recommend this villa to anyone. Thanks Kathy all had a amazing stay

Great place to stay!

Villa was very clean and tidy, had plenty of room for 12 of us. Air con throughout. Pool and hot tub was great. Around 15 min walk to the nearest supermarket and also 20 min walk to the beach. Taxis are very good value if you want to get anywhere. Kathy the owner was extremely helpful and made things a lot easier, there was lots of written info in the villa. Highly recommend this villa for a Lanzarote stay!

Pros Excellent and friendly communication direct with the owners. They arranged all airport to villa transfers Like home from home Eleven in the family , five were children. Loads of space Very clean with every facility you are likely to need. Private, not overlooked. Children were never bored (when they came off their ipads), Pool and hot tub very popular. Prompt help from the service manager ( a bed frame broke and was replaced quickly Cons None really but if you want me to be ultra critical . 1 Shower rooms dimly lit, though you get used to it. 2 You need a masters degree to work the TV. Amazing villa - perfect for large groups.

We were a group of friends celebrating our 50th birthdays. The villa was amazing. Really clean, well laid out and plenty of room for us all. Nice walk down to the beach and local bars and restaurants. Kathy the owner arranged our transport to and from the airport and put us in touch with a local grocery company who delivered a shop for us at the beginning of the holiday. Perfect. Will definitely return

Absolutely stunning villa

Absolutely stunning villa, had everything you could want and more. Perfect location, short walk to lovely resort of playa Blanca and the beach. The villa both inside and outside was spotlessly clean when we arrived. Kathy was so helpful in the run up to us arriving with information about the villa and surrounding area. She really went above and beyond! She even arranged transfers to and from the airport for us as well which was brilliant! All in all we had a fantastic holiday in an outstanding villa! We would definitely consider returning.

A very pleasant stay

I stayed at Kathy’s villa in September with 4 Families (11 of us in total) so the size was perfect for us all. When arriving at the villa we were very impressed with the huge spacious lounge, lovely, well equipped kitchen (2 fridges was a massive bonus) and plenty of bedrooms to choose from! A very clean villa. The bedrooms were a good size with wardrobes and bedside tables. I stayed in the bedroom next to the kitchen, the only downfall was no storage in the bathroom for toiletries or to hang your towel as the stick on hooks kept falling off. The villa was always secure with an alarm and a safe provided which we all used. The outside area was great for sunbathing and the kids loved the pool, couldn’t get them out of it. The shallow end was perfect for my 2.5 yr old to walk around in. It would have been great to have the villa cleaned, even just the floor during our stay as we ended up sweeping the floor a number of times from all the dirt/sand etc (there is a lot of floor area) A short taxi to the main shops/restaurants, we know the area well, the villa was perfectly located. Kathy was always quick to respond to emails before, during and after our visit. (Especially when I lost a valuable piece of jewellery, which was found and very grateful for) Overall we all had a wonderful stay at the villa and probably the best so far in this area.
