Das Anwesen befindet sich auf einem eigenen, ausgewachsenen Grundstück in einer Sackgasse für zusätzliche Privatsphäre. Wir sind 10 Minuten von Lalinde, 15 Minuten von der berühmten Marktstadt Issigeac und 20 Minuten von Bergerac entfernt.
Die gesamte Wohnung im Erdgeschoss ist für Gäste privat, deren Eingang auf die Terrasse und den 11,5 x 5,5 m großen Pool führt. Es gibt 2 Stufen von der oberen Terrasse zum Poolbereich, auch der Pool ist am flachen Ende über einen Meter tief. Aus diesen Gründen ist es nicht für Kinder unter 5 Jahren geeignet.
Die Wohnung ist sauber und hat eine erfrischende Atmosphäre und die Gegend ist ruhig mit schönen Vogelgesang ohne Verkehrslärm. Siehe die zusätzlichen Informationen im Bereich Einrichtungen.

Beautiful, quiet, relaxing, welcoming

A gem of a gite in the heart of Dordogne. Michael and Kim are the most caring of guests, and they will welcome you in their home, but you won't even notice thex are here, unless of course you need them, in which case they will help you.The gite is cosy and perfectly furnished: from bedlinen to various barbecue accessories, you won't miss anything. But the true value of the place lies in its incredibly calm and relaxing surroundings. And of course in its glorious pool.Fantastic people, fantastic place, go and visit, you won't regret it!

Spent a great week here in July. Gite is lovely and very comfortable. Michael and Kim are very welcoming hosts, ensuring you have everything you need. The pool is fab and beautifully clean. I would thoroughly recommend staying here - for great accommodation in beautiful countryside - a great way to chill out and relax. The only downside is that there is no shop in the village for basic provisions (bread, milk etc..)

Huge, immaculate pool. Lovely clean gite!

We have just spent a fantastic week at this gite. The title sums it up! The owners, Michael and Kim, were extremely thoughtful and generous. The village in which the gite is located is quiet, but it is not far from a lively little town on the Dordogne River called Lalinde with the obligatory boulangeries, cafes etc.

Peace and quiet wrapped up with great views

From the start Michael and Kim gave great coms and are on hand if you need them during the stay. The house is a perfect place for piece and quiet days spent outside. Everything is provided and especially for us proper size mugs for a tea/coffee and proper size wine glasses. The pool is a great size and heated. Michael ensures it is kept clean. Would we stay again, without a shadow of a doubt. Thanks guys for your hospitality. Grahame & Jenny

Lovely relaxing stay

This property is a little gem. It's the owner's house so it's very well equipped and has everything you need for a lovely stay. It's the best equipped and most comfortable gite we've stayed in. The sofas and single seat had were all recliners and couldn't be more comfortable. Michael and Kim weren't there for most of our holiday as they were taking a well earned break but they made sure that a friend was there to welcome us and also available to us during our stay if needed. Michael also sent us videos prior to out arrival which were really useful once we were at the gite. The location is very peaceful with views of open countryside. There is a lovely restaurant in Lanquais called Les Marronniers. All in all we had a fantastic 2 weeks here.

Lanquais Visit 2023

The gite is in a lovely setting within easy reach of major towns like Bergerac and Sarlat, and smaller villages like Issigeac whose Sunday market is well worth wading through the crowds for. We also recommend the L’Atelier restaurant in the same village. The pool is “bracing” at first, but its generous size makes up for that. If you like walking then there plenty of opportunities with quiet back roads and forest trails round about with the chance to spot deer in the early morning. The spacious property is well equipped, especially the kitchen. You wouldn’t know that Michael and Kim live upstairs, and we would like to thank them for their welcome and hospitality. Overall, a great week!

Fabulous summer hols Aug 2022

Our party consisted of 3 adults and we had been waiting since before COVID to visit France again so our expectations were high! Michael and Kim met all our expectations and more...I cannot express how fabulous a time we had. The house was perfect and the pool was the best we've come across. The premises are looked after beautifully with Michael on hand to keep the pool fabulous. You could not want better hosts...they were very discreet but always available to give advice about restaurants or trips out etc. Michael and Kim added to the enjoyment of our holiday. There is a lovely restaurant close by in Lanquais serving beautiful French food , we went twice! Lots of places of interest to visit and Michael and Kim have all the up to date brochures for you to look at and use to help you plan your day. Nothing could have been improved about our holiday as it was just great. I can't recommend Michael and Kim's house enough. 10 out of 10!!

Sehr schönes Haus, ausgesprochen sauber und sehr gut ausgestattet. Der Pool ist groß genug, damit man nicht nur plantschen, sondern auch wirklich schwimmen kann. Außerdem ist es (bis auf die Hähne des Nachbarn, die zum Glück ein Stück entfernt waren), sehr schön ruhig dort. Michael und Kim waren sehr nette und hilfsbereite Gastgeber, wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt und können diese Ferienwohnung nur wärmstens empfehlen!

Schöne Wohnung in ruhiger Lage

Eine schöne Ferienwohnung mit sehr gepflegtem Pool. Der Garten ist geschmackvoll angelegt. Das Haus liegt in einer ruhigen und landschaftlich schönen Umgebung. Ab und zu fliegen Flugzeuge darüber, dies hat uns jedoch nicht gestört. Die Wohnung ist gut ausgestattet, besonders die Küche. Die Vermieter Kim und Michael sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit.

Recommended!

The property was ideal for us. Plenty of room, very quiet, surrounded by interesting countryside that was great for walks. The property was very well appointed. Pretty much everything we needed was there, including a well kitted out kitchen, plenty of fridge and freezer space, sufficient towels, toilet rolls, etc such that we didn't need to buy anything for ourselves except food and drinks. My impression was that the owners would try to do whatever is needed to make their guests stay a good one. Michael even brought to us a set of local walks, with printed maps and such, which we enjoyed immensely. The pool is not heated (although I expect almost all pools in the Perigord region will be the same), but otherwise great for either a family playing in the pool or a solitary swimmer just doing some lengths. The nearby village, which is walking distance, has an excellent Brasserie, Les Marolliers, although unfortunately this is the only one. There are others within driving distance. Definitely recommended.

Si vous aimez le calme et le charme de cette région, vous serez comblés. Les propriétaires sont attentionnés et prévenants tout en étant très discrets. La résidence est très propre et la piscine est très régulièrement entretenue par le propriétaire. Il n’y a pas de voisinage à vue ce qui est l’idéal pour votre tranquillité.

Villa au calme avec piscine

La villa est située non loin de tous les sites à voir au sud de la Dordogne. Elle est propre, au calme en périphérie d'un joli village et dispose d'une grande piscine. Les propriétaires sont très sympathiques. Nous y avons passé un excellent séjour avec mes fils.

Everything from the Initial booking to our departure after a fab 2 week stay was seamless. Michael and Kim are very friendly, welcoming hosts, discreet yet on hand if needed (Michael even provided us with screen wash for our car on departure for the long drive home!). A generous welcome pack was waiting on arrival along with a gleaming pool and a comfortable gite which is only 20 minutes walk form a great restaurant. The peaceful location of this gite will ensure a very relaxing holiday.

Een aangenaam verblijf in de Dordogne

De woning was goed gelegen. Het zwembad was heel proper, maar gelet op het weer van de voorbije periode was het water eerder aan de koele kant. Rondom het huis zijn er meerdere plaatsen die je toelaten in de zon of de schaduw plaats te nemen. Er was ruime gelegenheid voor privéparking. De verhuurders waren vriendelijke mensen die indien nodig steeds konden geraadpleegd worden. Bij aankomst was er een welkomstgeschenk voorzien. Kortom, een heel aangenaam verblijf en zeker voor herhaling vatbaar.

Nice stay

We had a nice week here and the owners were very helpful, advising on places to visit and restaurants to go to. Gite is very clean with a nice pool and barbecue. Pool was quite cold but think that's a problem in France generally. Owners stay upstairs during your stay but you don't hear them and they are out most of the day. As its their home the rest of the year they appreciate it being looked after so perhaps have quite a few rules to follow in the welcome folder. One is about the suncream for the pool, it has to be the right type and you need to wash it off before getting in the pool. Understandable so they don't get a ring around the pool but I struggled to keep the kids protected from the sun whilst in the pool. Overall for the money charged its a great Gite and we had a lovely stay, thanks

Superb Relaxing Location

We have spent many a holiday in the Dordogne and without doubt Lamourlanquais is a wonderfully relaxing location. Nestled behind the beautiful chateau in Lanquais Kim and Michael have created a lovely hideaway for those who enjoy a well deserved rest. Despite its tranquil location the gite is half an hour away from all the major attractions in all directions. Michael takes great care and pride with the pool and it is always in top condition should you wish to use it. The gardens are beautifully kept and attract a variety of local wildlife including humming birds. We were a group of four adults and would not hesitate to recommend Lamourlanquais to a similar group or small family.

The property is in a quiet and peaceful location. The gite was well equipped and spotlessly clean. Michael and Kim were the perfect hosts. Nothing too much trouble when asked, advice freely available. Swimming pool was excellent and patio area relaxing. Fabulous location, short drive from airport while being easy distance to small towns and villages along the river. Being within easy travelling from airport meant about 4 or 5 planes flew overhead each day. But they were sufficiently high not to disturb the peace. Thoroughly recommended for a relaxing laid back holiday.

Beautiful spot

We had a lovely week in this amazing property. Michael and Kim were the perfect hosts. Lots of ideas of where to go and places to eat. It was absolutely spotless, and there was everything you could possibly need. We had some amazing meals in the Village restaurant and also lots of choice when out and about. Lovely secluded property with local facilities a short drive away

We spent a week here in the height of summer 2015. Exactly as pictured, with friendly but non-intrusive hosts living in accommodation above. The pool was excellent. Accommodation to a good standard. With a reasonable walk there is a shop and lovely restaurant, and local services are a short drive away. I would go back and would thoroughly recommend this rental.

A gem of a property

A beautifully clean and comfortable property. There were so many extra touches that made it a real home from home. We loved the salt water pool and the surrounding terrace area. The owners were friendly and helpful without being intrusive and nothing was too much trouble. This gite is in a great position to explore a beautiful part of the Dordogne with good local amenities. We would definitely return to this gem of a property.

L'amour Lanquais

A wonderful home from home, all the amenities you would require for a relaxing self catering holiday. The pool is fabulous with excellent terraced seating area, a beautiful and peaceful location with plenty of outdoor space. Children well catered for with TV and wifi! We had a marvellous week and will definitely return. - The Clarke family.

We had looked for months and months, we looked at more expensive and less expensive properties when we first laid eyes on this little house we knew it had just the right ambiance we were looking for, a truly wonderful setting, and even though it had a lot of work to do on it, it was well worth it, as were sure you will agree once you've stayed here.
