Perfekte Auszeit

Das Haus ist wie beschrieben und auch die vielen positiven Bewertungen unterstreichen dies eindrücklich. Wir hatten zwei tolle Wochen im Juni 25 bei Linda und Jean-Marie, die hervorragende Gastgeber waren und direkt angrenzend wohnen. Die Ausstattung ist hervorragend, die Anzahl der Zimmer, Bäder, Toiletten und das Grundstück allgemein machen es zu einem Juwel. Die Liegemöglichkeiten am Pool und insbesondere dort unterm Dach sind ein Traum, der Pool natürlich ebenfalls mit seiner Größe und seiner Wassertemperatur. Sogar WLAN am Pool ist möglich. Einzig die Geschwindigkeit könnte in Summe im Haus besser sein. Der Rest ist wirklich PERFEKT !!Lalinde erreicht man problemlos in 15min und findet alle benötigten Geschäfte dort. Beste Bäckerei ist Ulrich Jean-Luc!

We had a wonderful time at Linda’s property. Both Linda & her husband are lovely warm, generous people who are always available if you need anything but also very discrete. The house is sparkling clean with a huge fully equipped cook’s kitchen with every possible utensil to make an imaginative dish at night and the stunning poolside daybeds and dining area outside but sheltered from the midday sun, offer the perfect place to sit and admire the spectacular sunsets. The pool is the best I’ve ever found in the Dordogne and I’m picky as I swim for hours and like to do laps. It’s a lovely temperature of 28 plus and can be fully enjoyed even if the weather turns cooler. It also has a superb remote cover that takes seconds to open/close and like the house and garden, is kept spotlessly clean and a really good size, very rare for a private pool. The garden is large and pretty and 100% safe for even small dogs as everywhere is fully secured even the close trimmed hedges have been fenced. Often rentals advertised as secure can have small gaps in hedges. There are tempting bakeries shops and restaurants within a short drive and we found some lovely dog walks around reservoirs that were peaceful and full of birds and butterflies. Limeuil, Tremolat and many other beautiful villages are nearby and you can hire a kayak at nearby Limeuil and enjoy the calm of the Dordogne or Vezere river with your dog, watching Kingfishers dart about. Fab stay for us and our precious dog. 5* all round.

We booked this villa for 3 weeks in July/Aug for family and our two dogs. The location was perfect for us all to explore S/W France. The owners, who lived next door, were on hand if any minor issues arose, but other than that we never saw them, so we had complete privacy. The grounds were fabulous for our two dogs as they were totally secure.Unfortunately we were there during a heatwave and we missed not having air conditioning , but I believe they are going to install it for next year. An added bonus was the addition of a beautiful games room which included a fabulous snooker table, table tennis and electronic darts, which my adult children thoroughly enjoyed playing . The pool was really big and was spotlessly clean.We had a fabulous time .

Fantastic property, it was everything we were hoping it would be and more. All the rooms are a decent size and cool, the kitchen is well stocked and most importantly it was clean and tidy. Nous sommes venus en famille profiter de la region et cette maison a comblé nos attentes. Tout est fait pour passer une très bon séjour. Great pool and cool house in heat.

We’ve just spent 2 weeks in this great house. We used the pool every day and in the warm evenings. Barbecued most nights and visited local markets. The house itself is in the middle of nowhere but has a couple of houses (including owners house) around it. Linda is a great host and only popped by when needed. GREAT house for our 2 dogs especially the pup who usually escaped. The fenced garden was perfect. Bit hit and miss with the neighbors by the conifers but otherwise perfect. Lalinde had all we needed and only 9 mins south of house. Private airfield nearby provided plenty of entertainment and was interesting watching farmers harvest and bind harvest.

Beautiful home with everything you need for a perfect holiday!

We stayed for a week but wished it could have been much longer! Spotlessly clean, everything you could wish for and more. We loved the large pool and frequently used the 2 sitting areas outside where we ate our meals and chatted in the evenings, watching the sky change colour. A perfect place for a relaxing holiday…. We hope to return 😊

Fantastic property

We stayed in July 2023 and the listing really does not do this beautiful property justice. We arrived to the most amazing sunset and spent 2 relaxing weeks here in the wonderful pool. The kitchen in particular is incredibly well equipped - the whole property is beautifully maintained, very clean and comfortable. Definitely 5 stars! Fantastic stay in Grand Castang

We had a little trouble locating the property on the first night due to incorrect directions on the vrbo website but the despite the language barrier, the host could not have done more to help. The villa was perfect, nice quiet location, plenty of seating options for meals, nicely decorated, immaculately clean, great kitchen full of utensils and excellent pool and seating area outside. We were 3 adults and 4 children aged 8 to 13 and the villa was a perfect size. There was plenty to keep the children entertained, although they did spend most of the time in the pool. The closest supermarket in lalinda was 10 mins away and big enough to get everything we needed. If we ever go back to this part of France we will certainly look to book this villa again.

Absolute Perfection!

My husband and I have just returned from a 3 week stay at this property. We did not want to leave! It was just wonderful and exactly (or even better) than the photos. The pool is exceptional as is the view! The sunsets were out of this world every night. The garden is gorgeous and fenced in and parking is easy with plenty of room. Linda was always on hand if we needed anything and was so helpful. I can only apologise about my awful French! I highly recommend this property and really hope to return. It was immaculate and we have been lucky enough to be travelling to the region with our little dog for 9 years but this property is definitely our favourite.

Wonderful 5 star villa!

This is probably the first Villa we have stayed in where the reality exceeds the expectations from the photos! After two years of Covid we decided to splash out on two weeks here. So glad we did! Lots of positives but the main ones are; amazing pool 12 x 6 so lots of exercise swimming every day; even during the 2022 heatwave with temperatures above 40 degrees the house stayed cool thanks to being newly built, double glazed, and Mediterranean flooring; two lounges, bar, Netflix and two kitchens!; very sympathetic hosts who live next door but are very discrete. Kids loved the huge freezer with ice on tap; amazing sunsets! We needed some papers printed twice for various reasons and the owners were very helpful. Nothing went wrong. A great place worth the money. Thank you!
