Perfect stay

A really wonderful place to stay in the heart of the town. The property was very well equipped, with a beautiful courtyard and pool. Clare and Tony were incredibly friendly and helpful, always on hand if we needed anything! We'll definitely be returning.

Beautiful little house in a beautiful little village

We had an absolutely lovely week at this property. The hosts were so attentive and made us feel very welcome. The location is amazing, you in in the heat of a bustling village but also it is super peaceful. The house is beautiful and we would definitely return. Absolutely 5 gold stars ⭐️ from us!

Superb

We loved the house that had everything we needed and more . In a medieval home the modern amenties were perfect. Dishwasher, washing machine , tv and good showers were a bonus. The garden was a lovely space with the pool being just the job for a dip during the hot weather. Claire was on hand to help us find the house amid the alleyays of St Antonin Noble Val and then kept us stocked with fresh flowers and information about good places to visit. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and highly recommend!

AMAZING

This place was amazing the only sad thing was we had only booked to stay for a week. From the day we arrived to the day we left Clare and Tony were fantastic. Everything you could possibly think of was catered for. All the facilities you could wish for were there even right down to an expresso coffee machine as well as sparkling wine in the Fridge. The position of this place is magical because although you are near to everything it was so peaceful and quiet sitting by the pool you felt like you were in the middle of the countryside with just the sound of birds singing. Some of best restaurants we have ever been to where situated minutes from the door and the Sunday market was fantastic. I would highly recommend this place to everyone, although half of me wants to keep it secret so that is available next year when we will be going back. Something that we very seldom do.

Fantastic location

This well located house is perfect for a family of 4 stopping in Saint Antonin Noble Val. It's called Bijou, but there is plenty of room in the 3 storeys. The living room on the 1st floor is delightful. We really relaxed in there, reading in the relative cool while it was 34C outside. The bedrooms were comfortable but very warm in the evening. The apartment is about 2 minutes walk from the main square, but very quiet at night. The pool is just enough to cool down you down on the really hot days. It's nice and clean and well maintained. The stairs inside the property are very steep, as any house built in the medieval. If that is an issue, then this place is not for you. If you like period properties, and can manage the stairs then this is a great choice. The hosts showed us in, gave us the keys and left. That's exactly what I like - it's not a bed and breakfast so don't expect a guided tour. I goit the feeling if I wanted more detail they would happily provide it. Very good hosts. I would definitely stay in this house again, and recommend it to friends.

Quirky but delightful place to stay in a lovely medieval town centre.

The property is in the heart of the medieval town giving you a real French living experience. The historic house is well equipped and comfortable and was clean and well maintained. There are a lot of stairs but the climb up to the bedrooms is worth it as the reward is a birds eye view of the ancient roofs of the town, a platform to observe the comings and goings of house martins, swallows and swifts and see glimpses of the Gorge d'Aveyron. The courtyard is delightful and a great spot in the sun to enjoy your morning croissants. The boulangerie, bars and a variety of restaurants are all a short step away. Our favourite bar La Halle seems to be the place where locals and visitors hang out and the service was always friendly. The town has a good variety of shops and a small supermarket in town with a larger one on the outskirts. It also has an amazing market every Sunday morning which you must not miss ! It is a good base to explore the area by car, on foot or by canoe available for hire in several places on the nearby river. Clare and Tony, the owners are a delight and couldn't have been more helpful before and during our stay. They are great fun and very knowledgeable about the town and its surroundings. Even though we had a late arrival Clare was there to meet us and had shopped to make sure we had food for an evening meal. A problem with the downstairs shower was quickly dealt with and resolved. We had a fab stay in Maison Fleurie and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. Paula and Bernard Maher

A Week Was Not Enough!

For us, this was the first of 3 different properties in 3 different regions during 3 weeks in France in May 2016 . The only reason we did not give the property a "5" was because of the stairs which are steep and require focus. We had no problems and did not allow THAT to reduce our wine intake. It is a fact which is inalterable, but know that there are so many positive trade offs. It is a totally charming update to a centuries-old property in the heart of a charming small town. While we had seen the movie, "The 100 Foot Journey", we were not aware that St.-Antonin-Noble-Val was the location of the local film shoots. The town is walkable throughout and we felt almost as if we had become locals by the end of the stay. We relaxed and explored, both by auto and the local hiking trails. There are plenty of hikes starting from in town. The local market on Sunday is not to be missed. But, be warned that all of the restaurants become "complet", so plan accordingly. The plunge pool in the courtyard was a bit brisk, but it was only early May, so it would be most enjoyable during the hotter times.. We enjoyed the sunny courtyard with its patio, dining table, BBQ and privacy. Tony and Clare live nearby and were perfect hosts. After our drive following the flight from London City to Bergerac, it was great to be greeted with some welcome goodies! The host met us as we parked our car "a deux pas" from the house. The house met our expectations and was quite comfortable and quiet. We found the kitchen well-equipped, the patio even better. Shopping the small Carrefour, 5 minutes walk away, provided the necessities and more. And, the local shops--bakeries and artisanal charcuterie---provided the rest. We have rented now about 2 dozen properties in France and this house and town did not disappoint. We left many things we had hoped to do undone. We are not ones to just "check the box" and move on. Our motto when traveling is "Travel as if you will come back!" We hope to return! Thanks again to Clare and Tony!

Great place to spend the summer holidays.

Very nice little house close to the village center. bars, restaurants and shops in walking distance. Free public parking is available, but might be difficult during the weekend. Hosts are very nice and helpful, there is plenty of information material available for short trips to the surroundings. A perfect place to spend two relaxing weeks in a wonderful place.

These guests stayed in April where the overnight temperature was in single digits. They said they didn't want to use the pool and so with their agreement I turned the heating off. They later decided they wanted to use the pool and so switched the heat pump back on and were very disappointed it would not heat the pool up to 28 degree in a few hours. I offered to come and adjust the pump and heating to run 24/7 but they didn't want me to visit. The lady then rang me after their stay and said if I didn't pay her money she would leave bad reviews all over the internet. Please read all our other reviews to get a fairer idea of the average guest experience! Ces clients ont séjourné en avril, quand la température nocturne était inférieure à 10 °C. Ils m'ont dit qu'ils n'allaient pas utilisé la piscine pendant toute la durée de leur séjour donc, avec leur accord, j'ai éteint le chauffage de la piscine. Ils ont ensuite décidé d'utiliser la piscine, comme en est leur doit, et ont donc rallumé la pompe à chaleur, mais ont été très déçus de ne pas pouvoir atteindre 28 °C dans l'espace de heures. J'ai proposé de venir régler la pompe et le chauffage de la piscine pour qu'ils fonctionnent 24h/24 et 7j/7, mais ils ont refusé ma visite. La dame m'a ensuite appelée après la fin de leur séjour et m'a dit que si je ne la payais pas, elle laisserait de mauvais avis sur Internet. N'hésitez pas à consulter tous les autres avis pour avoir une idée plus précise de l'expérience client moyenne

La maison est très bien. il y a un jardin avec table pour manger et petit coin salon. Un autre jardin avec la piscine. Par contre, il faut être prêt à monter un escalier assez raide pour aller aux chambres. Avec un village superbe.

Beautiful oasis in central St Antonin

We had a fabulous stay in this lovely holiday house in St Antonin - what a find! The house was clean, well presented and central - only a minute's walk from the very epicentre. Our host, Clare was warm and helpful, making herself available to us should we have needed anything. This is the perfect holiday bolthole for families with children. havre de paix en pleine cité médiévale

un adorable petit nid restauré avec soin et beaucoup d'amour en pierre du pays, on y dort au frais, 2 cours magnifiquement fleuries, l'une avec une petite piscine chauffée à l'ombre d'un bananier et d'un érable, l'autre parfaite pour déjeuner , jouer à des jeux en famille, le tout loin des regards indiscrets. des propriétaires charmants au petits soins, nous ont accueilli avec une bonne bouteille de vin bio et des bières fraîches, tout le nécessaire pour se restaurer. le tout dans dans une ville pleine de charme quasi sans voiture et donc très sécure pour les enfants, où toute la famille a aimé serpenter. éluder des jeux de piste, une boulangerie délicieuse à deux pas, une médiathèque qui prête des jeux, des livres, des dvd en cas de pluie non négligeable, une région magnifique l'on peut se baigner également à la plage de st antonin 10' à pieds de la maison, dans des lacs, des châteaux plein de mystère et de bonnes glaces à la chatâigne ! bref nous recommandons ce gite les yeux fermés pour une petite famille de 4 personnes. et y reviendront avec grand plaisir si cela est possible. merci à vous !!!

maison très bien située dans ce village médiéval : tous commerces à proximité. Maison sur 2 étages avec une fonction pour chaque étage. 2 zones de jardin, une avec piscine, l'autre avec salon et zone repas avec accès direct à la cuisine. Séjour très agréable permettant une belle découverte de la région. Nous recommandons!

un peu déçue, mais c'était bien quand même !!

l'annonce ne précise pas que le logement est sur 3 niveau avec un escalier très raide et étroit, ce qui nous a imposé de garder nos valises dans la cuisine au rez de chaussée. Il serait bon de le préciser, cela peut être problématique pour certaines personnes. A part ce point, et le canapé qui est très inconfortable (trop vieux) le logement est parfaitement situé, très propre et très calme. La propriétaire très accueillante.

C'est le mot qui nous est venu. Une charmante maison de ville sur 3 niveaux très agréable à vivre et très bien équipée (amenez rien). La maison est située dans un village d'une grande qualité architecturale et très authentique. L'Aveyron est à une centaine de mètre et nous avons pu amener notre canoë. En quelques mots : nous avons passé un très bon séjour savoureux. Philippe et Isabelle

Lovely town with lots to do nearby! Clare very helpful and welcoming! We visit France every year and this has been right up there with the best.

Wonderful stay

We enjoyed our stay immensely in this medieval house in the heart of the village. It is comfortable and atmospheric and the owners were wonderful in communicating and very helpful. Since the house is centuries old, there are quirks and steep stairs. But we would certainly love to stay again.
