Villa was nice and spacious cleanliness overall was good apart from dirty nappy in bedroom laundry bin outside pool was wonderful and cold gardens were lovely the road was a bit noisy but you got used it transport into calis was really good and fast overall had a great holiday thank you Marcia and Matt for all your help

Wonderful villa in a great location

We have just spent 4 wonderful weeks in this lovely villa with our family. Marcia the villa owner was a superb host and made sure all our requests were catered for, it was home from home in a lovely location, fully equipped with everything you need for a very comfortable stay. Our grandchildren made the most of the pool and beautiful garden. The beach is close by with restaurants and bars. There are also small supermarkets close by. A short bus ride takes you into Calis which has numerous bars , restaurants and shops. Thank you Marcia we all had a wonderful time.

You and your family were 5-star guests, Gail and I'm delighted that you had a great 4 weeks in our lovely Villa Loumar. I always listen to guests' comments with the aim of making the villa an ideal place to stay for a comfortable and pleasurable holiday e.g. just before your family came, I had a hand-painted bamboo wall constructed to add more privacy to the pool and terrace that is opposite the forest. Calis Villa Vacation

The location of the villa was ideal for us but unfortunately the villa did not live up to expectations. The surrounds were unkempt and the grass needed a cut which was done much later into our vacation. The inside of the property is tired and requires updating in many places. My contact with the owner prior to my visit I found to be very responsive and helpful but investment in the update of a lovely property and its management in my opinion needs serious consideration.

I am disappointed that you felt this way, Edward - especially as the villa's location was very clearly described e.g. within a 10 minute walk to the local Surf Beach, a 10 minute bus ride to the busier Calis Beach. It is most unfortunate that VRBO put the pin in the wrong place (they put it in a built-up area, much further from the beach where holiday makers usually want to go). This has not come up until now and has gone unnoticed! I have, of course, asked VRBO to correct their mistake, especially as the villa's actual location is much more convenient for most holiday makers than where the pin was wrongly placed. I am also surprised that you feel the villa could be updated as it is well maintained by Rainbow Property care and I take much pride in all aspects - e.g. I put in new terrace and lounge furniture last year, added additional fencing to ensure complete privacy and hand-painted a beautiful mural on the bamboo fencing around the pool (as I am a professional artist), added some shelving in the bedrooms so visitors could more easily charge their devices, and had various areas painted. I do hope you find your ideal villa when you next visit this lovely area.

Lovely house

We enjoyed two weeks the house, garden and pool area - very fine. Close by there seems to be a bigger construction area, there are a lot of lorries carrying concrete passing by at the street just behind the garden fence during daytime. TV program is very poor, only a little choice of channels, mostly arabic. If you want to stream, take a laptop along and a HDMI cable, TV has no USB port. The agency was very helpful and quick in solving little issues.

I'm glad you and Teresa enjoyed your holiday and found the house, garden and pool "very fine"- and that my agent, Rainbow, was so "quick and helpful in solving any little issues". Sorry to hear about the lorries going by - I'm unaware where they are heading. The road is normally quiet for long periods. A good idea re streaming (thanks!): I've now replaced that TV with a new smart Samsung TV for future guests so thanks! I've supplied loads of holiday reading with paperbacks in various languages, mainly English, and also great DVDs but streaming is a better option nowadays of course.

The property was just as described. Pool and house were lovely and Marcia and Matt (Property Manager) were ever so helpful with any request, no matter how trivial. Location was perfect. less than a 5 minute walk to a lovely seaside beach bar/restaurant or a 30 second walk to a small cafe opposite. Transport links were excellent with a VERY regular and cheap Dolmus (local bus) at the bottom of the road. Took Turkish Lira or my contactless UK bank card too so very easy.10 minutes to Calis and we never had to wait more than 5 minutes for a bus. A taxi office nearby and 2 small supermarkets as well. The house was great with pretty much everything you needed. V clean with the pool cleaned daily. And as I said owner and property manager really could not have been more attentive and helpful in every regard. Lovely place, lovely holiday. 5 stars.

Tolle Villa in super Lage

Wir waren vor 3 Jahren schon einmal in Villa Loumar. Es war wie erwartet alles wieder top in Ordnung. Die Villa ist sehr sauber. Die Lage ist super, da man nur wenige Minuten vom Meer entfernt ist und man bei der Hitze immer schnell im Meer baden kann. Der Pool ist ebenfalls sehr gepflegt und eine angenehme Abkühlung. Matt und Monica von der Agentur sind sehr nett und die Kommunikation hat sehr gut funktioniert. Sie waren jeder Zeit ansprechbar und haben bei Fragen geholfen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Sehr schönes und zentral gelegenes Haus

Dieses Haus ist sehr geräumig und sauber. Auf Sicherheit wird viel wert gelegt. Der Pool ist sauber und läd zum Abkühlen ein. Das Haus liegt in einer Wohngegend und ist daher sehr ruhig gelegen. Man kann Ausspannen und relaxen. Das Zentrum von Calis erreicht man mit dem Auto in wenigen Minuten. Der Strand kann sogar nach einigen Minuten zu Fuß erreicht werden. Der Strand ist steinig, Badeschuhe sind zu empfehlen. Das Preis-/ Leistungsverhältnis ist gut.

The English translation of your comments are: Very nice and centrally located house This house is very spacious and clean. There is a lot of importance on safety. The pool is clean and invites you to cool down. The house is located in a residential area and is therefore very quiet. You can really relax. The centre of Calis can be reached by car in a few minutes. The beach can even be reached on foot in a few minutes. The beach is rocky, bathing shoes are recommended. The price / performance ratio is good. We hope you come again next year to enjoy another lovely, relaxing holiday like this one.

Dejlig område

Overordnet var det en rigtig god ophold med hjælpsomme medarbejder. Specielt pool manden var behjælpelig med alt og med det samme. Huset var som annonceret super godt, dejligt hjem til en familie som vil nyde fred. Der er dog meget trafik ved pool siden. Det vil være en god ide med en bil til rådighed. Here is the English translation of Mahi's review: Overall it was a really good stay with helpful staff. Especially the pool man was helpful with everything and right away. The house was as advertised super good, nice home for a family who wants to enjoy peace. However, there is a lot of traffic by the pool side. It would be a good idea to have a car available. We thank you for a wonderful stay. ----- Dear Mahi and family I am delighted that you had a wonderful stay. Regarding the traffic, you came at the busyest time of the year, the Turkish Bayram festival when 140,000 extra people came to Fethiye! There are normally some cars going past the villa but most people don't find it much of a problem as it is not a main road and the pool area is shielded by a painted bamboo fence, making it private. Hiring a car is no problem - and we can arrange that if required. The local dolmuses (small buses) are very frequent and the nearest beach is less than 10 minutes walk from the villa. We hope you'll return next year and without the festival traffic, give us a 5-star review! Marcia

Wonderful stay in beautiful villa

Beautiful stay for 2 weeks, the villa is situated in a pleasant area close to a bar and restaurant and couple of shops. Easy to travel by dolmus to local areas. The villa itself is beautiful and clean we had a fantastic stay, a couple of minor snags where sorted by rainbow properties ( who look after the villa) very quickly and we would have no worries of booking with them again. Everything you could possibly need is available in the villa it is immaculate with a beautiful pool and garden area, we would stay here again in a heartbeat

Superb property, highly recommended

My holiday was a stunning success. The villa itself is beautiful, obviously built to high standards and decorated with loving care. The original paintings in each room suit the decor and quality furnishings so well. The garden and pool were being very well maintained, with someone coming by each day to check on it. The location is very convenient within a few minutes walk to a cafe/bar and local small supermarkets. There is just a short walk to the Surf Cafe beach with others nearby. Also convenient is the Dolmus shuttle bus (10 min turnaround) terminus for the bigger Calis Beach Promenade and shops with easy access to Fethiye. There I found plenty of excursions, including the 12 island excursion that I particularly enjoyed. The clear water of the bays that we entered was great for swimming. I was also impressed by the friendliness of the Turkish people wherever I went and their excellent customer service. The owner and manager both provided excellent service. I had ordered a taxi to take me back to the airport, but my phone was not working well. The manager must have contacted the taxi driver to tell him I was worried about being picked up on time. He came by earlier in the day to meet me and re-assure me. I would highly recommend this property to any of my friends and relatives.

We take pride in providing those little extras that we think our guests will enjoy - e.g. the hot and iced water dispenser in the kitchen, wi-fi throughout, hot and cold shower outside on the terrace by the pool. We are also delighted that our property management company who organised your transport to and from the airport asked them to pop in to see you personally when your phone was not working. That is typical of them. Being on the spot, they are reliable - fast responding and personable, which is reassuring for us as well as our guests. Villa near the beach

The villa had everything listed in the description and it was easy to get there from Dalaman airport by taxi. The area is quiet and the villa was clean and everything worked fine.We especially appreciated the shaded terrace where we had all our home cooked meals (small foodshop 4 minutes' walk away) and the pool area for relaxing and a bit of exercise. The beach is close and the owners recommended good restaurants and a stroll along the nearby promenade with smaller shops, Turkish baths and plenty of restaurants. One can also reach Fethiye town easily. In Fethiye there is a huge market to explore and a fish restaurant where you first buy your fish and then take it to the restaurant you choose for cooking it. We were also recommended to take a coach trip to ?ludeniz, a small seaside town with cosy streets and a beautiful beach beneath a mountain where they do paragliding. We had a great holiday in the villa and would gladly recommend it to all our friends!

Superb family villa

Villa Loumar is an altogether superb family villa situated in a delightful part of Turkey in a very quiet residential area close to the beach. We arrived late evening and were greeted by a very friendly agent who kindly popped out and fetched some basic provisions and a nice bottle of wine! The villa was spacious and clean with a very inviting pool which we made use of every day throughout our stay, including our very first evening. All the rooms and bathrooms are well presented, there are plenty of outside chairs and tables and a built in BBQ, and a great hot/cold shower outside which we used all the time. The pool and patio is cleaned every 2-3 days which is needed since there is fair amount of dust generated from the road outside which has yet to be finished. The villa is very well positioned for day excursions to places like Saklikent Gorge, the Blue Lagoon at Oludinez and Dalyan, all of which are great days out for everyone. The local beach is lovely with a great sea breeze which attracts locals and visitors who enjoy windsurfing and kite surfing. The owner of the villa was very helpful and responsive before, during and after our stay, and we would have no hesitation recommending Villa Loumar to anyone who fancies a trip to this delightful part of Turkey.

We love our villa, so it gives us great pleasure to know that another family has also enjoyed a holiday there. We're always aiming to improve so every time we go, we try to add something to make a better experience. Most recently (last May), we added more original paintings, a hand-painted mural over the fireplace, and four beanbag chairs to match the outdoor furniture. Hi, My name is Marcia and I own Villa Loumar with my children.

We bought the villa off plan after spending some wonderful holidays in this spectacularly beautiful area in and around Fethiye. The building was only completed in early 2012 so our first year of enjoying the villa was 2012. I came with my daughter and twin grandchildren who declared it was their best holiday ever! Other holiday makers seem to agree.

As a well known practising London artist I have decorated the rooms and outside terraces with lovely original artwork which gives the villa a unique character.

We have put our villa in the hands of helpful and efficient agents situated nearby in Calis Beach. They speak both English and Turkish. Together we will liaise with you before, during and after your booking to ensure you have a great time.

We fell in love with this area near Fethiye- azure blue seas, surrounded by mountains. The villa is ideally located for a relaxing holiday within a 6-8 minutes walk to the nearest beach, Surf Beach and a string of local beach clubs. The larger Calis beach has a promenade bordered by many shops and restaurants. This is a 10 minute drive from the villa or you can catch a Dolmus (local minibus) from outside Surf Beach. They go every few minutes. At night one can take a peaceful stroll along the Prom at Calis Beach and watch the glowing lights of Fethiye across the bay.

Fethiye, 15-20 minutes by dolmus, has harbour cruises and a fantastic weekly market on Tuesdays. Shop in the 'old city' and dine outdoors under canopies of light-strung trees.

Villa Loumar has a unique artistic character created by the owner artist, Marcia. It is situated in a quiet pretty village but with easy access to busier tourist areas.There is free wi-fi throughout and on balconies.

There's a handy ice-water and instant hot water (for tea/coffee) dispenser in the kitchen and a new smart Samsung TV in the lounge area.

Private pool and child's pool and outside flower-filled terraces are perfect for swimming, shaded relaxation or sunbathing. There's a hot/cold outdoor shower.

On the terrace, there's a BBQ, outdoor furniture for alfresco dining under the overhanging grape vines. A hand-painted flowered bamboo fence surrounds the terrace and pool areas for added privacy.

The villa is very conveniently situated - within an 8 minute stroll to the nearest Beach, Surf Beach and other adjacent beach clubs. A newly opened large 'Migros' (supermarket) is just around the corner - a minute's walk from the villa.

There are loads of local attractions - see brochure in the villa, or ask our agent.

The gated garden, pool and child's splash pool are tended daily and the villa cleaned with bedlinen changed before arrival.

Additional villa clean & linen changes & 'welcome' pack - water, milk, bread, jam, butter, eggs, tea, coffee, sugar -are optional extras. Just ask.

Besides relaxing, swimming, shopping, sunbathing and dining under the stars, there's a wide range of water sports available in high season from the near-by Surf Cafe Beach Clubs and nearby Calis beach - and loads of tours that you can book at various outdoor booths at Calis beach.
