Hi Jane! We are so sorry that the lights weren't working at the time of your stay. Unfortunately, we had to refer to a third-party vendor to get it fixed and they were behind in service calls during your stay. This has been fixed since then and we would love to have you back at the property in the future! Thanks for the review! Five Star Properties

Thanks for the amazing review! Five Star Properties

Hi Holly! Thank you so much for your kind review! We are happy to hear Big House by the Sea was accommodating enough for your big group. When you're not at the beach, Big House has a great pool with plenty of deck space for lounging, if you want to beat the heat you can shoot a game of 8 ball or 9 ball inside, and there is never a shortage of places to sit down and relax. You can overlook the pool from the upper balconies and get a nice view of the Gulf. Although you are not directly on the beach a quick three-minute walk gets your toes in the sand in no time! Please let us know when you're coming back, we would love to see you and your friends again.

Dear Guest, We are so sorry to hear that your stay at such a wonderful house was anything less than outstanding! Since your stay, we have fixed these issues, and are working with our team to improve in all aspects. We hope that you reconsider staying with us in the future with a 10% discount on any future booking, as this is definitely not the quality we deliver. Thank you for your constructive review! Five Star Properties

Hi Vince! Thank YOU for staying with us Big House by the Sea. We're so happy you all enjoyed your stay. We appreciate you taking the time to let us know about the minor maintenance items our team can address. We're glad they didn't impact your stay. This home is fantastic and the owners have put a lot of care and attention into it. They will be thrilled to hear you all had a great getaway! Thanks again for choosing Five Star Properties. Vince, just as a second follow up from the owners of Big House by the Sea, they are so sorry the chair broke when you were there. The house has been rented non-stop since March 15, and they try to inventory the furniture for safety and appearance three times per year to make sure it is kept up. They will replace the pool lounger in question, and are also putting in a new freezer. Please know this is only a 3 year old expensive appliance that should have performed better, but it has had repeat concerns this year and they will replace it because they want the best for their renter's experience. They just wanted you to know your feedback matters, and hope you are able to return with your sisters family some day in the future. This is an amazing property for family gatherings.

Dear Ann, the owners of the home were so sorry to see your August review for the June pool heater problem; it did indeed break because of the rain and as soon as they heard, they had it repaired. It is also why the hot tub heat didn't work that week. We double checked to make sure you werent charged for the pool heat, and we are so sorry this happened. The owners are also going to put elevator and hot tub instructions up because both can be a little tricky to operate, though we confirmed both work. Finally, I am sorry we did not respond earlier to your concerns and will be in touch. We really missed this as we are focused on responding to our customers immediately given our commitment to a great vacation rental experience, especially hoping for repeat business, as are the owners of Big House by the Sea. We will be calling to double check there is nothing currently pending. Sincerely, Five Star Beach Properties

Dear Guest, We are so glad that your Girls' Weekend was a success! This is a great home for events and retreats. Destin is also a great location for tennis.
