Excellent location. Communication was very good with host. The property is older but clean.The living room seating wasn’t ideal for relaxing and the deck and patio furniture need some TLC.

Location, location, location. The apartment is walking distance to Brennecke's Beach. There was a problem with the sofa bed, but they provided a blow up bed. We will definitely return again.

The condo was superb, clean, fully kitted our kitchen, short walk to the beach, quiet location (apart from the roosters, but that is Kauai :-) enough parking spaces available and a communal Weber bbq for all to use. Would recommend this condo everytime.

Beautiful condo near pool and beach

Great condo for our family with two young kids. Closet full of beach and pool toys, beach chairs, etc. lots of space in upstairs primary bedroom with a beautiful view. Three lanais, one off each bedroom and one from the living room which was perfect for outdoor dining. Kids enjoyed the keiki books in the bookshelf as well. Loved the pool and easy walk to poipu beach. Can’t wait to come back!

Clean condo in a perfect location

Our group loved our 3 night stay here. The condo provided plenty of space for 5 and each of the porches were great to pass some time. The check-in and check-out process was so easy and flawless. Communication and information was plentiful. The best part of the condo was the location! Minutes from shipwreck beach, Poipu beach and park and several other beautiful locations. Our group enjoyed several hikes especially the one along the coast starting at shipwreck beach. Great area to go exploring as well. I recommend catching the sunrise at the furthest southern point behind the condo toward the ocean. Breathtaking view. Also, we highly recommend Little Fish Coffee! We ate there every morning. We wish we could have spent more time! Would love to come back!

Ok with a few frustrations.

This place was ok. You have all the pots and pans, beach gear, and needed fans. Bare minimum towels. Nothing left in pantry or fridge, so no cooking spray or condiments of any kind. If you don’t pan on cooking, make sure to pick those items up. The location of this specific apartment building is wrong on both Google and Apple Maps, which made for a frustrating 30 minutes of confusion and walking around until we found the right place at 1230 am (when they arrived due to delayed flight). There was construction on the roof and my water was shut off for a few hours without any communication about these events beforehand. Both the pool key and key fob didn’t work on the pool gate door. Decent place. Good location. It worked for us with a few frustrations. .

Had you reached out to let us know you were missing towels, our HK team would have been happy to deliver what you needed. We do provide salt and pepper along with a morning starter kit that includes coffee, teas, and sugar. For safety and hygiene reasons, we do not leave condiments that may have been used. We’re sorry to hear you had difficulty with the directions. Arriving at an unfamiliar place at night can be a challenge, and we understand how that may have impacted your experience. We did notify you in advance about the roof construction at the resort. Work had been completed on your building, but construction was continuing nearby. It’s possible the pool was closed during your stay due to this nearby work. We also were not informed of the water shutoff and apologize for that. We hope to welcome you back to Kauai and look forward to the opportunity to better meet your needs.

Paradise is located here

We thoroughly enjoy the location of the Manualoha property. It is close to fantastic beaches (Brennecke and Poipu) but also lots to do in the area. Shopping, golfing, hiking and fishing. The grounds are beautiful and well kept and we love the pool with the ocean view. This was our second time at this property, first time at unit 1006. We really liked the unit. It was spacious and was well equipped with kitchen appliances, dishes, pots and pans, etc. Everything worked and the unit was clean. We loved watching sunsets from the second storey lanai and eating breakfast and lunches on the main floor lanai, which because not ground level, offered a partial view of the ocean. The only criticism I have for this property is that the single beds in the lower bedroom are quite small. I had 2 tall boys with me over 6 feet tall who barely fit on this beds. Longer beds would be much better. I would also suggest getting a few more forks. We only had 7 and were constantly washing forks. Otherwise, an amazing stay! Mahola!

Minor but important details

I would give it an excellent except the facility has a pool that is nice but not kid friendly. My 10 and 12 year old were playing in the pool and a staff me e e came up and told them there is no rough play or splashing in the pool. Also, my 6 year old had a very small floaty as the pool is very deep and I didn’t feel comfortable having her in there without a floaty and the same staff member came and told us floatation devices were not allowed. I explained why I wanted her to have one and he said we needed to get a life jacket. After that second day we just didn’t go into the pool at the facility which was a shame because we were really excited to use it. Also, the two small beds and the king bed in the master were amazing but the pull out bed was extremely uncomfortable. After the second day I just pulled out the mattress and put on the floor as that was more comfortable than sleeping on the pull out frame. If it weren’t for those two items, this location and facility would get a perfect 10 instead of an 8.

Everything was better than expected. Very clean and well maintained property. The management group made it easy and was super helpful/prompt with directions any questions I may have had. Perfect for a family

We were in Kauai for a family wedding. This place is great for a family. There were plenty of beach toys, snorkeling gear, beach chairs, etc in the closet for our use. Within walking distance to Poipu Beach. However you may want to drive if you don't have a wagon to pull the beach gear. The constant breezes in the primary suite upstairs made for great sleeping!

Good, not quite great

My family enjoyed our stay here, with a couple qualifications. This is a property managed by Parrish and this was our second time staying in a property handled by them. They are in general very responsive and considerate. We had a couple of issues with not having enough towels etc and they were quick to help. So that was a plus. The checkout process had a minor hiccup which was not fab, but they immediately acknowledged their mistake and apologized. The kids loved the pool which is close to the ocean and we loved being able to walk down to Poipu beach. The condo complex is well maintained and pleasant. There are adorable little lizards all over the place, it was a great spot. So why 4/5 stars? The property itself could use a little TLC. It felt like no one had stayed there in awhile. The outside furniture had bird poops on it, rusty beach chairs, no trash/garbage bin upstairs at all.. not a big deal, but a lot of little things like that added up to it just not being a wow. It was fine. And I mean it's Kauai, we were just so happy to be there.

Not ideal for two couples

We had hoped for a two bedroom that would be good to share. Because of the layout, that was not the case here. One bedroom was huge with a sunroom and deck, the other was tiny, right off the entry with a door that didn’t close all the way. We also found the beds and pillows to be very uncomfortable and all of the bath products (including the hand soap) to have a very heavy, unpleasant aroma. However, the location was wonderful, just a short walk to the beach, and the unit was well situated.

Perfect for our family

The unit and it's location was perfect for our family of 4. We have two children, ages 11 and 8. The unit is clean, well-maintained and stocked with everything you could need. The unit is in a great location and walking distance to Poipu beach, the Marriott and Sheraton. At Poipu beach we snorkeled and swam. In front of the Sheraton, we jumped over waves, boogie boarded and the adults swam (current too strong for children). The pool has a beautiful view of the ocean. The unit had a closet with boogie boards and other beach stuff like chairs, balls, etc. The unit is also walking distance to Brenneke's restaurant and deli. I would walk early in the morning, grab a coffee at Brenneke's (although there is a coffee maker in the unit), walk to Sheraton beach and see multiple monk seals laying on the beach. It was magical.

had a great time

We really enjoyed this condo and all the upgrades it featured! Really maintained well and appreciated all the shampoo and soap. The 2 downfalls were lack of any spices etc that are usually common when renting from vrbo instead of a rental company. The other was the mosquito infestation we had during our stay, even though we never left any doors open. I grew to hate that stupid things! We would love to stay here again!

Aloha Marianne, We are glad you had a good time and we look forward to hosting you again soon. For health and sanitary reasons, we do not retain opened and used condiments and spices. Depending on the weather (rain) we can have flare ups from time to time on gnats and mosquitoes as we are in the tropics. We too do not enjoy them and we are sorry you had to deal with them. The property was beautiful w ocean and sunset views

I really loved this place. The price was great, the property was huge. The pool sat right up from the ocean. My one and only disappointment was that there was no air conditioning. At night it was cool enough w the fans and the breeze. Mid day the unit got very very hot. It was hard to get ready for dinner because you would be sweating. But,like I said. Place beautiful. Parrish were wonderful.
