perfect retreat

We spent a wonderful two weeks in Jamies appartment, centrally located in Cabanas and close to all amenities (restaurants, the promenade and the boat quay to Ilha de Cabanas). Reception on site by Wave Algarve was on time and very friendly, same as the late and unbureaucratic departure. Thanks, Robbert !The appartment was clean and spacy for the two of us and the aircon in living room and bedroom proved essential during these days of extreme heat (38C), as did the sun shades on the balcony and on the roof top terrace - the latter we absolutely enjoyed most ! Fantastic mattreses (rather firm) ensured a pleasant sleep.A recently modernized shower is much better than the old bath tub shown in the actual pictures. Kitchenwise, the equipment may need some refurbishment, but everything necessary for two persons was available and in proper condition, except for a dirty frying pan in the cupboard.As usual in many southern countries, there were plenty of ants in the kitchen, marching in from a tiny hole in the living room's washboard. That surely will need some attention to be sealed. There have been NO ants or other insects in the sleeping room or bathroom.Definetely, a recommended holiday accomodation !!!

Alles war perfekt

Wir waren nun schon zum zweiten Mal in Jamies Appartment und haben die Terrassen und die geräumige Wohnung genossen. Der Kontakt mit Jamie und der Agentur, die das Appartment betreut, war hervorragend. Wir können uns den vielen positiven Bewertungen nur anschließen!

Wirklich super!!

Wir haben uns von der ersten Minute an in der FeWo von Jamie sehr wohl gefühlt. Sie ist sehr schön eingerichtet & mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Besonders die beiden tollen Terrassen konnten wir aufgrund des schönen Wetters jeden Tag nutzen & haben das voll genossen. Parken war immer in der Nähe möglich. Die Fährboote, mit denen man zu den vorgelagerten Stränden fahren kann, erreicht man zu Fuß in wenigen Minuten. In der Straße der FeWo gibt es einige Bistros/ kleine Restaurants, die jeden Tag sehr gut besucht waren. Uns hat die portugisische Lebhaftigkeit in der Straße gut gefallen. Auch der Sparmarkt um die Ecke war sehr hilfreich. Wir können uns sehr gut vorstellen wieder zu kommen!!

Nice apartment with large terraces in the center of Cabana

The well-spaced apartment is located right in the center of Cabanas. Jamie personally welcomed us warmly. The beach is very close and there are many small shops and restaurants on the beach promenade and the immediate area. we spent very nice days there, despite the special situation in July 2020.

Perfektes Apartment mit drei Terrassen

Es war wirklich ein perfektes Apartment mit drei Terrassen zum relaxen.Sonnenuntergang und Blick aufs Meer inklusive! ... uns hat absolut nichts gefehlt. Cabanas ist ein wunderbarer Ort um die Ostalgarve zu erkunden. Die Lage des Apartments ist sehr zentral - man benötigt grundsätzlich kein Auto um einen wunderbaren Strand-Urlaub verbringen zu können. Viele Restaurants und mehrere Bars sind in der direkten Umgebung verfügbar. Ein ausgezeichneter Start auch für abendliche Aktivitäten. Jamie ist der perfekte Gastgeber. Die Begrüßung und Verabschiedung war sehr herzlich und freundlich - wir hatten , trotz Corona, immer ein angenehmes Gefühl in dieser sehr sicheren Wohnung / Gegend.

Magnificent

We had a wondeful time in Cabanas and the most wondeful place was this apartment. It has everything you need for a perfect stay - on top of all a beautiful terrace on the roof. Contact to Jamie (the owner) was perfect and it was a pity that we colud not meet personally. But I'm sure there will be a next chance in the years following :-) Cabanas is a really nice little town that has kept much of its original air and the apartment is located in a little street with some restaurants that seem to be visited by locals. At nights it was quiet and we could sleep very well. All in all it was a perfect time and we hope to come back!!!

For Beach days and acustic party nights

The location of the apartment is ideal for beach days and party nights. The promenade and the beach with all shopping facilities are very close. In the evening you are surrounded by many restaurants, which are open until late into the night and offer music of all kinds. At night the party takes place in the Sisha Bar on the corner. Ideal for all travellers who want to take advantage of the warm summer nights.

This wonderful apartment is exactly as advertised. Jamie is a fabulous host and the lovely gentleman from Wave was there to check us in. We had everything we needed for our month long stay including A/C, washer, full kitchen and 3 choices of outdoor spaces to enjoy. Cabanas is such a picturesque village with a good variety of restaurants and shops. The short trip in the water taxi to the beach is very inexpensive and the wow factor of the beach when you arrive is amazing!We’re already talking about our next trip. Thanks again Jamie.

O apartamento muito agradável, como boa localização, já reservei três vezes, estava mais limpo do que anterior vez, contudo os filtros das caixas de saída do ar condicionado estavam completamente impregnados de pó castanho, o que foi logo detetado quando entramos o apartamento só cheira a pó, pelo que tivemos que lavar os filtros com o chuveiro, o que é tarefa fácil, porque temos equipamento igual. Mas de resto excelente.

Excellent communication with Jamie regarding all aspects of our stay at Cabanas. The apartment was well equipped, comfortable and had everything you need for a 'home from home' holiday. Plenty of supermarkets and restaurants within easy walking distance with good choice of food and drink.Overall, a lovely apartment with excellent facilities and location within the Ria Formosa National Park. This gave us a new and different outlook on the Algarve after visiting a couple of times. A much quieter and less busy location if you don't like the more noisy Albufeira, for example, you won't be disappointed.

Fijne maand gehad in dit appartement. Was superschoon.In gezellig straatje met veel locals, dat vonden we erg gezellig.Meubels gedateerd en belegd met plaids.Ligt op de 2e verdieping en een 2e balkon op de 3e verdieping, dus als je traplopen geen probleem vindt ....In- en uitchecken met de Wave kan beter ( was feitelijk alleen sleutels overhandigen, nergens uitleg over).Op ons verzoek 2e paar sleutels kunnen ophalen. Voor herhaling vatbaar!

Chill Out Break In The Sun

We booked this property for a 10 night break in the sun. The property met all our expectations. Considering how close the property is to the waterfront it has amazing amount of outside space . Ideally located for access to restaurants and bars and also within 2 minutes walk of a Spar supermarket stocking all the things you are likely to want for a self catering break. Wave the agents meeting us on check in (as Jamie the owner was away) were really helpful and accommodating and it was all very simple as was the check out process. Thanks to Jamie for allowing us to use your property and thanks again to Wave for your professionalism.

Excellent, enjoyed living in the heart of the cabanas Portuguese community. Close to restaurants, cafes and short walk to boardwalk. Accommodation well suited 2 persons and exploring. Decks were great and as asvertized. Particularly the roof top.

Great Find!

We couldn't be happier with our stay at this property...ideal couple's apartment in a great location. The terraces were especially appreciated.Finally, Jamie, our host, was ideal. She had provided the apartment with a binder dealing with a wide range of information and suggestions. The bottle of white wine in the fridge and a rendezvous for coffee were most appreciated.

Great location- all you need by- street parking safe and accessible- good restaurants across the street and around the corner- wonderful boardwalk- make sure you go to cabanas beach across the harbour by boat for 2 euros per person return- Spar is a great corner store with all you need including wine for 1 euro per litre that is very good- weather in February and March this year was iffy and locals thought so too- hostess very friendly and helpful- cold wine and water greeted us on arrival- Robert went out of his way to help us- a wonderful stay at an exceptional location - highly recommended and we would go back

Enjoyable stay

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Jamie’s place for two weeks end of January/beginning of February. It is accurately displayed in the listing. The outdoor spaces were our favourite parts of the apartment. The apartment was clean, well-maintained and comfortable. Jamie, the owner, communicated clearly and was available if we had any concerns (which we did not). We would not hesitate to recommend it to others.

Perfect location for us (couple in our 60s) everything you need within easy walking distance. Apartment although dated is well appointed and outdoor space is plentiful and varied. We thoroughly enjoyed our week long break thank you Jamie.

Excellent location

Cabanas was lovely. Location was excellent for restaurants, snack bars and supermarkets. The place had a nice vibe. The accommodation was spacious, lovely balcony plus a roof terrace ideal for sunbathing. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this to friends and family.

We chose Cabanas as it offers a natural beauty, incredible beaches, many quality golf courses, great restaurants and friendly atmosphere, with all the amenities one would need for a great holiday!
