Der "Sea Cookie" ist perfekt für eine kleine Gruppe, die einen schönen Ausflug an die Küste von Charleston sucht. Sie können sogar Ihren Lieblings-Vierbeiner mitbringen! Dieses gepflegte, haustierfreundliche Anwesen mit 2 Schlafzimmern und 2 Bädern am Meer ist eine Übung in modernem Luxus und zweckmäßiger Antike. Das Haus befindet sich am östlichen Ende von Folly Beach entfernt am Ende des arktischen Avenue von der Hektik der Center Street ruhig gelegen. Die Einzigartigkeit der Lage übersetzt zu sehr geringen Verkehr zusammen mit der Ruhe oft mit Paradies verbunden. Es gibt einen großen abgeschirmten Veranda neben einer gleich großen Freideck. Beide sind auf der Meerseite des Hauses befindet. Von dort ist der Blick auf Sanddünen, Haferflocken und den weiten Atlantik beschränkt, soweit es Ihre Augen erlauben. Ein Strandspaziergang bietet einen einfachen Zugang zum Sand und den Wellen dieser Folly-Strandvermietung. Für Ihre Rückreise steht eine praktische Außendusche zur Verfügung, damit der Strand dort bleibt, wo er hingehört.
Es gibt ausreichend Parkplätze im Freien sowie einen überdachten Parkplatz unter dem Haus. Innen werden im gesamten "Sea Cookie" neue Holzböden verwendet. " Eine Vielzahl von Fenstern in der Küche und der Wohnbereich ermöglicht die natürliche Schönheit des Strandes zu durchdringen in Innenräumen verwendet. Hohe Decken sind über die Gesamtheit des Hauses zu schaffen viel Raum zum Atmen verwendet. Das Hauptschlafzimmer hat Zugang zu einer privaten Terrasse mit Meerblick, die über einen Fußweg mit dem Hauptdeck verbunden ist. Das Master-Bad ist urig und enthält eine seiner / ihrer Waschbecken. Es ist nur eine kurze Fahrt oder ein längerer Spaziergang zur Center Street, wo Sie zahlreiche Restaurants, Geschäfte und andere Unterhaltungsmöglichkeiten finden. Der Abstand wird sichergestellt, dass Ihr kleines Stück vom Paradies, genau das bleiben wird. Der Klang der Wellen, Delfine in der Ferne und der Meeresbrise cresting wird oft Ihre einzige Begleiter sein.

The back deck is literally over the ocean…fantastic! Great space for my parents, my spouse and me, and our small dog. Clean, comfortable beds, well stocked. Highly recommend.

Right on the Ocean

We stayed in a recently renovated house that is literally only steps from the ocean. We were able to watch the surfers and beach walkers and their dogs right from the dining table, back porch or deck. It was wonderful to catch the sunrise each day. Wonderful experience.

Celebrated my 62 birthday, my oldest son and his wife’s 15 year anniversary and my youngest son and his fiancé wedding. 5 star +, Perfect location and view. Wedding was on the schooner Pride about a 30 minute drive and right beside the Aquarium. City center, market that has everything, and beverage store within a quick 3-5 minute drive. House is clean., beds comfortable and has amazing covered and open deck. Best of all ocean front with literally steps to the waters edge at high tide! Amazing stay and enjoyed by all!!!!

Terrible

Property was unkept, inside the house was dirty, broken glass lamps on the side of the bed. The outside of the property was also unkept with the "lawn"/ weeds had not been cut in weeks and there was a cooking grill in the front of the property as well which made the property look like sanford and son. I would never rent this house or recommend to anyone to rent this house again

The location on Folly Beach is perfect. Not near the hub-bub but close enough. The house is ideally almost right on the beach and the screened-in porch is perfect. However, for the price we paid, we expected more out of the kitchen. The appliances had not been replaced with the upgrade and interestingly enough there is not a garbage disposal in the sink. The oven pans were not acceptable so we didn’t use the oven at all. For a dog friendly house, we were surprised the kitchen trash can was open (no lid), there was no outside hose to easily wash off sandy paws and seawater drenched fur (outside shower doesn’t work well for this purpose but we made do) and one of the deck gate latches didn’t work (we had to shove a table against so it wouldn’t open). Overall the house was ok but again we were disappointed at the upgrades for the price we paid.

Great location

We had a wonderful stay here. The property managers did a great job and were very responsive. The views and proximity to the beach was great. This property is also on a dead end street so it tends to be on the quiet side. The screened in porch was a huge bonus plus all the gates to keep your dog on the balcony worked well. The only issue is that in the master bedroom the AC does not work very well. The rest of the house was ice cold but the master bedroom remained warm - especially at night.

Sitting on the porch watching and listening to the waves was the highlight of the trip. I highly recommend this location. Communication was excellent from booking, check in, to check out.

Wonderful beach house

The location is perfect and we felt like we had a private beach. The house could use some updates and tender loving care: the air vents need to be cleaned, the furniture needs to be replaced, the screens on the deck should also be replaced. Overall, the house is great for a small family’s beach vacation and we enjoyed it!!!

Beautiful Location

While I would love to give this property 5 stars, I simply can not. The location is perfect! During our stay in late March, we lived out on the sun deck as much as we could. It is just beautiful! However, the owners need to give the Sea Cookie some TLC. We tried to open windows so as to not turn on the air conditioner, all of the springs were broken and they wouldn't stay up. The queen mattress is in deplorable condition and needs replaced desperately. The bathtub in the MBR is pulling away from the tub surround. Come on! This is a beach front property that folks are paying top dollar for...let's put some money back into it. This was our first visit to Folly Beach and we loved the area. The vibe was so cool and eclectic and the restaurants were top notch! However, the Sea Cookie left us a bit disappointed in our accommodations.

Utter Tranquility....(but needs some upkeep)

Let me start by saying that our stay at the Sea Cookie was one of the MOST peaceful and restorative vacations we have ever had. We would not hesitate to return, and definitely plan to. The house is in the perfect location. It sits at the end of the road rather than in the central touristy areas of Folly Beach. We felt like we had the whole beach to ourselves all week. There was just enough human and dog traffic passing by our deck to keep it interesting. It was also fun to watch the surfers. The photos do not do the view justice. High tide was right up to our deck (the 24 hour ocean wave sounds were intoxicating), and at low tide there was a flat football field-sized beach right off of our deck for us to walk on and our dog to play on. We based our whole relaxing days on the tides and the stars at night. It was heaven. The cons of the Sea Cookie, though, is that it needs some definite upkeep. The kitchen is beautiful, but it needs new pots/pans/knives. Most items are warped, dull, and scratched up (I am quite leery about cooking in scratched teflon). The can opener doesn't work, we had to empty the last guests' dishes out of the dishwasher when we got there, and there were sparse water glasses and only 1 wine glass. The property management staff did bring us some new glasses when we told them. The kitchen trashcan has no lid or anywhere to conceal it in a closet (not good when traveling with a dog). The dishwasher intermittently leaked all over the floor when running. None of the ocean side windows stay open. They slam down hard if you try. We spent the week propping the windows open with water bottles. There are broken hinges on the screen door, a broken latch on the deck gate, and most of the screens on the patio and throughout the house are torn up. A dog/kid could easily escape from the enclosed patio through these screens. The showers need recaulking and there is mold on the ceiling above the shower. The front door pops open spontaneously unless you have it dead bolted (escape risk). The deck has a lot of splintered wood and nails sticking out. We all suffered some pretty big splinters in our feet (including the dog). My husband pounded in the nails. The shower's hot/cold handles are reversed. The master bedroom is VERY cold (we brought a blanket with us). We called the property managers and they seemed disinterested in knowing the details of the repairs needed. Numerous quests have made the same comments in the quest book for years.

Overall great place. Has everything you need. Enjoyed the morning stroll on beach with dogs and coffee. Quiet relaxing setting. Close enough to activity and some of the best food. Place appears to been in rental program for awhile. Needs some TLC, mostly minor stuff. Overall would return!
