Cozy, Rustic & Great Location

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Cabin was clean and in a great location. We found that it is almost identical to our house so that was really neat. Property was well maintained. The grill is one like you would find in a camp ground not complaining just be aware that it is not a traditional gas or charcoal grill. No complaints only a few suggestions. Could really use some new couches & mattresses. Some of the light fixtures could use some brighter bulbs in them. Amazed that this great little cabin was available. We would stay again and hope to soon in the near future.

Beautiful location, quiet & charming outdoors. Cabin layout is perfect, love the owner’s suite tiled shower. Spacious kitchen, and beautiful woodwork throughout the cabin. The front porch is nice. Plenty of parking space and room to turn your car around. Close to the casino, near downtown Dillsboro and downtown Sylva. Easy to get to and from the cabin, the route is not too steep or rugged, easy peasy! I would recommend staying at Cabin In The Woods, and would stay there again myself!

We left a day early because the mattresses were old and uncomfortable, water leaked under the sink because a pipe wasn’t connected properly, no hooks to hang towels or robs etc,couches kept flacking off.Not enough towels , and no bath mats had to use wash cloth to step out of the shower.

The perfect get away

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We absolutely loved this cabin. I loved the updated features that was nestled in the mountains. I was here for a work conference at the Casino so the location was perfect. While I was at the conference my husband and dog got to explore the mountains and creeks. We visited the middle of October just before everything closes up for the winter and Mothernature was showing off her color skills. The leaves where changing colors. The best time to see everything. Can't wait to visit next year!!

Great house and location

This house is cozy an not too far up the mountain. Yellow Rose Realty manages it well and keeps it clean. Plenty of space and decorated nicely.

Cabin in the woods

This cabin was nice, clean and comfy lil cabin, perfect for a quick getaway to the casino or just to chillax !!! Very quiet lil spot up in the mountains. Perfect for couples or a small family. I stayed this time with a couple that is friends of mine and they love it also. It's not big and overly done up. So I believe I would stay again, this time with my wife and 2 small children.

Communication with Yellow Rose was great. Very helpful with everything we needed answers for. Place was clean and very pretty. Moved our day up r/t arrived day late due to storm Helene. Would have given 5 for everything but road was rough and one lane and if you met someone,one had to back up. Also the imitation leather on the couch is peeling off and getting on you and the floor.

Newly constructed cabin!

Very nice cabin. The “newness” is a double edged sword. New is clean and free of damage and wear. But new also lacks the items you might find in other rentals..... like a wine bottle opener!!

The only reason why I can't give this cabin 5 stars is because both mattresses are absolutely shot and need replaced. I had to sleep on the couch after the first night.

Needs some work to be a first class cabin

I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Beautiful cabin in a nice area, but lacks quite a few items we have found in most of the other cabins we have stayed in. Especially the beds very uncomfortable. Not enough hangers for our clothes, no hooks to hang make-up bag in smaller bathroom, no hooks for hanging heavy jackets. The couches were in extremely bad condition, worn out. When you pay close to $200 a night you expect top quality not what seemed like leftovers from a yard sale. I couldn't in good conscience recommend this to a friend without some upgrades. It's a shame because the location is nice and the cabin itself is beautiful, but it's in poor condition when it comes to amenities.

After Christmas visit

We were not happy with the condition of the bed and living area furniture. The bed was old and you could feel the springs. We stayed 3 days and the last night we collected all extra pillows to sleep on to cover the springs. The couch and live seat had missing pleather. Also not enough towels there were 6 bath towels for 4 people for 3 days. It looks as if the owners put their old furniture in the new and amazing cabin. The location was about 15 minutes to the city center which was ok. The road to the cabin was a little scary steep and small. We drove a 4 wheel drive so a much larger than normal vehicle. Over all we had a good visit it could have been a nicer stay with a few changes and the bed is a big deal. I hope this review helps make the needed changes for the next visitors.

Well, I never stay at your cabin because

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I find out that the cabin it’s outside Charlotte and I called to cancel the reservation to get my money back. I speak to set a manager will call me back to fix that. I never heard from them until now my bank is fighting with them to get my money back. They don’t wanna give it back to me, and I never stay at the cabin. It’s unfair for you not to tell me where exactly the cabin was located I find out it was a 10 Hour Dr.. I never talk to nobody they refuse to refund my $700 they having a packet it’s terrible. Be honest give me my money back I never even have a address. Where should I go even to pick up the keys?

Hello, Two weeks before your reservation, you called our office to find out how far away the cabin was from Charlotte, NC. When you were told that it was a 4 hour drive, you immediately became hostile and started demanding a refund. We explained that our cancellation policy wouldn't allow a refund at this point, but that we would be more than happy to reschedule your stay anytime within a year, so that you wouldn't lose your funds. After you refused this resolution multiple times, the representative offered to give your information to the manager. After reviewing the situation, the manager agreed that we had given you the proper advice. We are not able to issue a refund when you cancel less than 14 days before your reservation. You were given an opportunity to reschedule and you refused. Thank you, Yellow Rose

Appearances can be very deceiving

First observation. - 1. No coat closet. Oh well, hang coats in bedroom closet. 2. Only 3 hangers for two large closets. Back to LR and put on a couch. (Bought hangers at Dollar General) 3. The TV was not working. No directions. 4. Gas logs - No directions. 5. Each bathroom only had one small towel rod. (Sleeps 4?) 6. No grab bars in the shower. When I wash my feet, prefer to hang on to something. 7. No hooks for robes, or clothes. Use the toilet? No thanks. 8. Cobweb in the shower. 9. Used kitchen stools for night stand and luggage. 10. Game table for 2. Poker chips and no cards. (sleeps 4?) 11. There was a lot of dust for a new unit. 12. One smoke detector was missing. 13. Spare construction materials were stored in a guest closet. 14. Hall bath had a tall vanity, but the mirror was sideways and had to crouch to see your head. 15. Unsealed wood in showers, and as kitchen back splash? No caulking? In time, will become moldy and impossible to clean. 16. My guess, as a builder, no vapor barrier in crawl space. In time, wood floor will buckle and warp. 17. Had to climb over couches to open blinds, or windows. (No planning) 18. BR, or bath, walls not insulated for sound. Just a convenience I like for privacy . Etc, etc. Oh yes, there's more. . Conclusion: Fancy, expensive materials with NO design, or planning. Very Amateur. Will not rent this unit, again. For the money, Motel 6 would have been a much better option.

Some of the amenities you talked about don't make sense for a home that is made for short-term stays. Peaceful, relaxing stay

We would stay here again. The only improvements I would suggest are a new mattress in the master suite and the heat didn't seem to work well in master suite either.
