Beautiful view, great location.

Property is nice, great view (best feature). Good location to shoppng center with restaurants, grocery store, gym (powerhouse). Great whale watch trip from within 20 min drive (but pretty windy & rough - stay top deck outside in air - person or two on lower deck got sick).

Got to see humpback whales breaching from the lanai, beautiful sunset and ocean view. Two minute walk to the beach and a secluded road to do a morning run. 24-hour grocery stores in close proximity.

Amazing view!

The view from the condo was amazing. We we able to watch whales from our balcony (in March) just before the sunset! The grounds were immaculate and the pool was cleaned thoroughly every morning. My teenagers appreciated the small gym and I loved the herb garden which included aloe plants. On our last morning while walking on the beach we even saw a few turtles! A few days before we were ending our vacation the dryer wasn’t working properly. The property management company immediately provided us with access to another room to use their machine. A great place for families, we would definitely stay again!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This property is walking distance to several restaurants and grocery stores. They property is pristine and pool is cleaned and maintained EVERY morning. Turtles on the beach on the beach. The only downside is that the water is not great for swimming/ snorkeling due to the broken up coral bottom so we had to drive everyday to a different beach which gave us the opportunity to check out many other beaches. There was beach chairs but no umbrellas or floaties for the pool. Salt and pepper but no other condiments so we had to purchase everything fresh and then throw it away if we didn't pack it home.

This was our second time ( first time in this unit) staying as a family of 5 at Maui Sunset. Maui Sunset is an older property with large Lanais and unbeatable ocean views. This particular unit is pretty basic compared to where we stayed previously. The only spices in the kitchen were salt and pepper. We were provided with only one trash bag in the kitchen and no laundry soap. If you are not looking for much in a great location, this is a good choice.One particular issue for our stay was that the pool, another big reason for us booking a unit at Maui Sunset, was closed for maintenance until our last day. We were not notified in advance and would not have chosen Maui Sunset for this stay had we known the pool was closed. I am pretty disappointed with the management of this unit allowing us to find out for ourselves at check-in and not providing advanced notice. That is the reason for the 3 star review.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall we loved this rental and would absolutely return. However there are some updates and small fixes that really need to be done to this unit. These are small, but need to be done. For example, the sink in the master bath leaks so anything on the counter constantly got wet. There are many outlets that are broken and need repaired - specifically in the master bathroom and in the dining area. Side note, the toaster doesn’t work unless you hold the button down and the hair dryer in the master bath doesn’t work. Just my opinion, but the living room furniture is very outdated and very uncomfortable. Updating this furniture would help the comfort of the unit.However, none of these issues would prevent me from staying again!!! Bigger needs

Maui Sunset condo

Due to an oversight of the renting agency, the unit was not clean when I check-in. I checked in on a Thursday, after the office had closed, so I spent the next 3 hours cleaning this unit! After my email later that night, David called and was very apologetic about the situation; the agency gave me a 7.4% refund of my rental cost and a fruit gift basket for my trouble! This unit has a very nice view of the ocean, but that doesn't compensate for the dated interior. This is the worst experience we, as a family, had to date staying in vacation rentals and we traveled in many countries around the world. We will not be coming back to this rental.

The condo could use new bedding and towels as they are warn. The appliances at some point need to be replaced except for the fridge. The washing machine leaked when you did a wash. The cloths dryer was on it last leg very loud. The toilet tank in the main bathroom kept running waking you up throughout the night. I would recommend a cordless telephone for $30 and some type of stereo for listing to music. Over all the view, heated pool and grounds made up for everything else. Bill. Vancouver, BC

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Unit was clean and stocked with all the essentials for a comfortable stay. Washer and Dryer was a plus. The view was stunning and a great location too. Easy parking and great facilities. Would definitely stay here again.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were happy with our stay at this condo. It is an older building, but it was nice and clean. We were happy about the security and maintenance cleaned very well every day while we were there. It was nice and quiet. The view was amazing. we had a late check-in due to our flight, but the staff made it very easy to check in and rest. We had all the needs for a pleasant stay. We just hated to leave.
