Willkommen im bestgehüteten Geheimnis von St. Augustinus. Das Summerhouse bietet alles, was Sie für einen traumhaften Urlaub brauchen: 4 beheizte Pools (im Winter), Tennisplätze, Shuffleboard, Spielplätze, Fitnessraum, Racquetballplätze, Zugang zum Privatstrand und vieles mehr.

Diese Wohnung im Erdgeschoss mit Meerblick verfügt über eine private Terrasse mit direktem Blick auf den schönen Sandstrand und den Atlantik. Lehnen Sie sich zurück und genießen Sie die Aussicht und die Meeresbrise.

Wunderbar dekoriert, komfortabel und gemütlich werden Sie beim Betreten unserer Wohnung in den Sinn kommen. Ausgestattet mit einer voll ausgestatteten Küche mit Kaffeemaschine, Geschirrspüler, Mixer und Mikrowelle, um nur einige zu nennen. Unsere Wohnung hat auch eine Frühstücksbar, Esszimmer mit Platz für sechs (6). Das Wohnzimmer hat auch viele Sitzgelegenheiten, um die Zeit mit der Familie zu genießen oder sich zurückzulehnen und den Lieblingsfilm zu genießen.

Wenn es an der Zeit ist, es als einen Tag zu bezeichnen, werden Sie froh sein, dass Sie sich für einen Aufenthalt in unserer Wohnung entschieden haben. Direkt neben dem Wohnzimmer befindet sich die Eignersuite mit einem sehr komfortablen Queensize-Bett und eigenem Bad. Und egal, ob Sie mit Freunden oder der Familie dort sind, sie werden eine großartige Nachtruhe im zweiten Schlafzimmer mit zwei (2) Einzelbetten genießen. Great location

The condo is nice and clean. It is a great location with a beautiful sunrise from the bedroom and living room. However, the kitchen is poorly stocked and there was a shortage of linens with no sheets for the pull out in the living room. I do recommend this unit and plan to return regardless of the aforementioned issues.

This was perfect for the family. We were within walking distance of the pool and the beach. The only issue we had, which was remedied quickly, was the code we received to get in and out of the beach gate was the incorrect code.

Clean with lots of room for the whole family!!

We LOVED our stay in 228! Clean with lots of room for the whole family. Stocked with everything you need to carry out your day to day living. Would definitely stay here again in the future! The heated pool was such a blessing while being here in March and the beach was fantastic!!!

And I thought the punch list for checkout was a bit much (stripping beds & starting a load of laundry, taking trash to dumpster, and loading dishwasher for example) since there is a significant cleaning fee associated with the rental.

Years spent at Summer House

We've been staying at Summer House off and on for 30 yrs. Started when our kids were young and now returning with their kids. Love it! However over the years I have had several back surgeries that prevented me from traversing the new high pitched stairs to the beach. That prevented me from being able to enjoy my walks on the beach and no handicapped walkways. You might want to add that to ypur info. And please add dish towels & something to scrub pots with to your kitchen...tks

You asked

Smelled very musty. 3 out of 4 blowing nose whole time. No allergies. One hot pad one dish towel. Needed to use our own garbage bags. No sponge to wash dishes. Back door did not lock. PVC pipe for a door lock. Could have had more shower towels. We had no bath mat. Throw rugs need to be replaced. How about upgrading the TV. How about a railing around the step down. We had several people trip on it. All of this is very petty but we have stayed at Summer House numerous times. Thank you. You asked and I’m giving you my thoughts.

Perfect property for the price.

First of all, I'd like to say that this listing does a great job of showcasing what it is -- that view across the pool to the beach steps: that's the actual view. Walk out sliding glass door and hop in heated pool or continue on a few steps to the beach. No hidden ugly stuff. Here's where my gripes come in (we'll get those out of the way) -- the storms ripped the walkways off and you have to walk to the far end of the complex to enter the beach. The good news: they were repairing the stairs while we were there so by the time you're reading this it probably won't be an issue. More good news: the beaches were a little trashed by the storms a few months back when we were there last time -- but have fully recovered and are their beautiful selves. My second gripe is so petty I hate to list it but as a fishing photographer -- that loves to cook -- I have to. This is a completely functional kitchen...but a $50 trip to Amazon for some pans would make it 10x better. Fighting an egg off that old beast was a mission -- something more complex would be an impossibility. OK, I feel better. On to the good: The management is fast, prepared, friendly, and a breeze. The parking is lovely: your parking spot is 10 steps from your door -- making unpacking easy -- but not in a common area thus providing adequate privacy. The pool wasn't busy -- quiet and mellow -- but open until 11 for a late night dip (if required). The condo is in very nice shape as these things go -- you get what you pay for in this life -- but I felt this was well worth it (spacious and clean). The complex itself -- while not brand new by any means -- is well-maintained and looks nice. What's really cool about it: it's the end of the world. This community is the last on the island before the bridge, making it uncrowded but adding the benefit of access to both sides (the beach and the river) through Fort Matanzas and the adjacent parking areas. They have distinctly different characters and both ourselves and our 6yo daughter enjoyed both beaches. We caught whiting on the beach and speckled trout in the river. The pompano will be in the surf in 2 weeks. I wish I could post pictures because I have great ones of the sunrises, sunsets, fish, and beaches you can expect to encounter but take my word for it -- they're excellent. Thought I'd mention we've stayed in Crescent Beach at numerous places over the years so we aren't complete idiots on the subject. Lastly, cheers.

Thank you so much for your review. Unfortunately, Summerhouse did suffer damage from several storms, however, I am glad to report they have now replaced 2 of the walkways and they are working on the other two. Also the pools are back up and working and most the major repairs have been made to 3 of the phases.

Dirty unit !

Walls & doors need cleaning & painting. I did wash some. Large yellow stain on mattress in master,. Blood on sheets in twin room!! Closet floors , under beds, in cabinets all need deep cleaning. Furniture in living sags badly. New baths are nice as is location of unit. Not a comfortable place to stay. Needs attention !!!

I'm sorry you felt the need to write such a bad review. The owners of this unit just put a lot of money redoing the unit prior to your check-in. We have gone and inspected the unit and cannot find any of the issues that you claim.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Pros - The condo is cute and had enough space for our group. Having two bathrooms was nice. The sliding glass doors looked out to the pool and the ocean is just behind it. These particular condos are more out of the way and in a quiet area which was nice. Cons - the property is still repairing from the hurricanes. 3 out of the 4 pools were operational with ours being one of them. Only one of the four beach accesses were open and it was not ours but it wasn't a huge deal just a bit of a further walk. The condo looks clean but after the first day my son's feet were almost black from the floors. I think it may have something to do with tracking in sand. They didn't leave more than 4 rolls of toilet paper for five days for five people and no trash bags. They ask that we put a load of towels or sheets in the wash machine before you leave. We did and accidentally left personal things in the dryer. I messaged the company within a few hours who said they would contact the cleaning company. After a few weeks of not hearing anything I contacted them again and they said that the cleaners didn't find anything which is not possible considering they had to put the loads of towels we started into the dryer that contained our items. Also, they were no instructions before arrival to go to the company's office instead of the property's office which caused some confusion. Overall I would recommend the property and we had a lovely time!

These accomodations are amazing....everything about our stay at 228 was nothing but perfect!!! The Summerhouse is classy but cozy, beautiful inside with a spectacular view of the ocean in the distance. We enjoyed walking the relatively short distance to the beach and enjoyed strolling beside the ocean for hours. The pool is just perfect and very well maintained and cleaned. We had fun on the tennis courts and everyone we encountered was pleasant and friendly. The surrounding neighbors were all very pleasant but quiet so as not to disturb anyone. We just had a marvelous time and definitely would love to make plans to return to 228!!!! Thank you
