Great 50th birthday retreat!

The house was beautiful, clean, and perfect location to beach with views for days! Jealous of that Starbucks machine in mint condition!! Kids were curious about the stories behind the marble collections? My only complaints were guest bathroom shower did not have hot water so everyone had to use ours…and PLEASE update the mattresses!!! Those Things are from 1985 when house was built!! Thanks for the memories and sharing your home with us!

Beautiful house and location

The location can't be beat. Instant access to the beach, plus unrivalled views from the deck, the kitchen, and the living room. The house is also lovely and high-quality. The house was clearly a labor of love at some point, and it is beautifully designed and appointed. The only problem is the cooking capacity. Only two of the four stove burners (the small ones) worked reliably. And the main oven doesn't work. There's a secondary oven that we were able to get to work after some trial and error. Unfortunately, there was no notice of the stove/oven issues, so I didn't discover either until I was in the middle of getting dinner ready for our large family. If you want a beautiful, comfortable house with great views and beach access, then this is for you. But don't plan on cooking more than the bare minimum.

Beautiful home with updates needed

Pros: Location is perfect for neskowin beach access, beach quality was excellent and limited foot traffic. The house is in a gated community, expect to enter a gate code whenever you come and go. The view was amazing, eating in the front room felt like a fancy restaurant view. Furniture was very comfortable, I also liked the master bedroom bed was firmer. The hideaway was standard, the kids did well on it. Garage had a wonderful stock of beach items, lots of beach chairs, bikes, sand toys, etc. Kitchen was quite stocked with all sorts of appliances and devices, I almost needed a written guide to locate a pizza cutter and oven mitts, there were so many places to hide them. We loved doing our laundry as needed, the machines worked great and were clean and well stocked. Cons: Wood in the garage was damp and unusable. No outdoor shower, 2 spigots were available for rinsing feet. It was a little difficult to rinse the kids Extra air mattress with expandable frame didn’t hold air, time to get rid of it. The house was humid/hot the first afternoon and most windows don’t open. Plumbing issues! Master toilet clogged at least 3 times, slow to drain throughout our stay. Appliances such as microwave and oven were QUITE dated, 2 ovens were there but I wasn’t able to turn one on. I had to double the cook time for anything microwaved. The coil burners on the cook top were worn out and we had to fiddle with them everytime we cooked to create a connection for heat conduction.

The most picturesque place to stay on the Oregon Coast!

My best friend and I were seeking a private ocean front home to stay in on the coast. We were blown away at how large the home was when we walked in, but the most amazing part about this house was the panoramic windows that looked out to the ocean and Proposal Rock. The home had an elaborate kitchen with everything you could need to cook a family feast! The way the home sits on the lot makes it seem like there are no other houses around when you are watching the ocean from the windows. The entire stay was unbelievable and I will most definitely be returning!

Girls time away

The home has a very relaxed feel. Just sad about the basement that had a very damp feel. Needs a dehumidifier. Bedding was all yellow stained in the basement. Also sad that the bedroom sheets upstairs were dirty. And also the lovely large coffee table in the living room was dirty. All sticky. Sad that people overlook cleaning when we all have to pay to have this done!!!!!!! Trying to talk my sister to come back here again. The beach in front of the house was just beautiful. The sandy beach area was so quiet that sometimes we felt like it was just ours!!!! The home was so quiet and peaceful also.

Great location, beautiful views, but new beds are needed

My family and I have stayed at this house several times b/c of the ideal location, easy access to the beach, and beautiful views. The rooms are spacious. There’s lots of comfortable seating and a large dining table. There are lots of games and books. And there is ample parking. But I wouldn’t describe the house as luxurious. The kitchen has dated appliances. The carpet is dirty. Very few windows can be opened. And of the windows that could open, several were inoperable. On our last visit, the grill only had a faint flame (we used a new propane canister). The windows were rather dirty, which is a pity b/c of the beautiful views. All the beds were uncomfortable. As fond as I am of this house, it really has one of the best locations in Neskowin, I don’t think I’ll return until there are new mattresses.

Beach front!

Gorgeous older home right on the beach. The house is slightly like visiting my grandparent’s home…in a nostalgic, beautiful way. The master bedroom is truly a retreat. The office is such a comfortable reading room. The view! The view is incredible. Unfortunately, we were here too short of a time. Too cold to be in the beach, but it was worth it to enjoy the view and the home.

Girls mini getaway

The panoramic view was outstanding! The well equipped place was phenomenal. I wasn’t expecting the amount of stairs which was difficult for my 85 year old mom, but the layout of the rooms mainly being on the main floor helped. We did wish there was a window that could be open so we could hear the ocean that would have topped the fantastic view. Also the entertainment center shelving needed fixing. The top shelf has fallen off its hinges. We were afraid to touch it so we didn’t try turning it on. We had brought movies to watch at night but the main room with the fireplace didn’t have one. The lights to the patio need replacing (they didn’t work). I’m not complaining just explaining again it was an excellent place and we wish we would have booked it longer.

Amazing ocean view home

This home is amazing. Huge windows and great floorplan to take in the beach view of Neskowin. Roomy and comfortable for our group of 3 couples for our annual trip. The kitchen is fantastic and has everything you could ever want or need. If you aren't cooking there is good food at Hawk Creek just down the road. Easy beach access via the path nextdoor. They even had beach chairs. Neskowin is a beautiful and quiet location. Flat beach that you can walk for miles. Lots of natural beauty and even some wildlife with the resident deer in the neighborhood. Small tv in the den but who needs tv when you have such beautiful surroundings. I will be back for sure.

Outstanding view

The view here was spectacular, quite beach with access just a few feet away, rooms were spacious and clean, lots of amenities even an espresso machine for a win! The only thing is if you are looking for a large TV to watch movies on there isn't one. The largest is like a 32 and it's in a library hidden in a bottom cabinet so it makes for tight viewing quarters.

Nice, but we had some disappointments

There weren't enough blankets and the downstairs heater wasn't working. I was in touch with the Property Manager and they said they would look into it, but never got back to me. Also, we were told we could check in at 4pm, but the cleaning folks were there when we arrived and it was awkward to unpack. We do like the house, but were disappointed in the service.

Excellent Home!

This home is wonderful! Love the location, love the spacious home, love all the board games and the unique styling of this home. The only negative, in my opinion, is that the two double beds in the 2nd bedroom upstairs are uncomfortable. I'd be ecstatic if they got new beds in that room!

Amazing stay.

The space was lovely. There were a few things that were a surprise. There was no TV in the main living area. With a young child, it is a necessity these days as well as sports lovers! The concept of a library is outdated and not very communal. The WIFI was hard to connect too. The network and password was wrong in the listing and needs to be updated. Finally figured out with information from the router itself. Too many objects on all the tables. They end up being a liability if someone were to accidentally spill or bump them. Space needs more room for guests to relax and not worry about damage. There was no propane tank for the grill which was super disappointing. On the listing there needs to be a warning NO AC. Late afternoon when sun is full the space is very warm. Hard to ventilate since windows do not open. Aside from this, the rooms were incredible. The deck is amazing. Access to the beach is great. The organization and Kitchen were perfect. So great. Will be back in August!

The property was beautiful. The house perfectly designed to capture the seascape. I would stay there again. There was no mention of the number of stairs in the property description, which should be shared as they were plentiful. All toilets were very low.
