We appreciate the opportunity to host Sabra's large family gathering at this private home, and are happy we could finally connect after difficulty in responsiveness to our pre-arrival messages regarding their Christmas holiday stay. In the spirit of famous Bermudian hospitality we welcome guests to "Top Bermuda Views " from around the world, and we regret Sabra felt the house was not ready for the family. The house is fully serviced when occupied or not, and had been completely cleaned and inspected just prior to their arrival. Upon Sabra notifying us of her concerns, we promptly arranged for a corporate cleaning blitz crew to address them, only for another family member to cancel the service minutes before it was to commence.. TBV features a private family pool, and while the property’s high elevation lends to awe-inspiring sunsets, wind and rain can bring foliage to the sunken pool area in a short amount of time. The pool service cleaned the pool the day of the family's arrival and on day 6. We had also arranged for the pool area to be cleaned on day 3, but the family cancelled this. We understood from live-on-the-phone follow- up on heat operation that they were set and would have been happy to procure space heaters if needed.. TBV uses fragrance free detergent, and all beds had freshly laundered sheets after our Thanksgiving group. We do have plastic covers on all beds for sanitary reasons, and the housekeeper -- a cherished member of the team, and an experienced ambassador for Bermudians’ friendly nature -- strives to make up all beds smoothly. While guests are in residence, she refreshes baths and towels, lightly dusts , sweeps and attends to the kitchen as needed, and removes trash . It was challenging for her to provide proper housekeeping services due to the family cancelling one of her scheduled days. We worked diligently to address all concerns. We appreciate that Sabra let us know right away, as we recommend to all our guests, so we can create an ever more enjoyable stay at TBV. We do feel her review comments misrepresent the experience provided. We offer extensive concierge services to enhance a guest group's visit to Bermuda and my team worked tirelessly over the Christmas period to accommodate the family’s many concierge requests. We sincerely hope the family created new memories during their visit to Bermuda and have acquired new-found knowledge about our historic 'Jewel of the Atlantic'.
