Das Bates East House wurde 1900 auf dem Höhepunkt der Expansion und Opulenz im Hyde Park-Viertel von Kansas City erbaut. Die Partner Seft und William haben dieses Haus im Jahr 2018 erworben und eine Restaurierung abgeschlossen. Das Haus ist jetzt ca. 1750 Quadratmeter groß mit 4 Schlafzimmern und 2 Vollbädern und WC. Our stay at this Vrbo property was absolutely wonderful! The host was incredibly responsive and accommodating from start to finish, which made the entire experience smooth and stress free. The home was spotless upon arrival, well maintained, and had more than enough room for everyone to relax comfortably. The beds were comfortable, and there were plenty of clean linens and extra touches throughout the home that made our stay even better. We especially loved spending time in the backyard playing cornhole and socializing together. It was the perfect setup for making great memories with family and friends. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and enjoyable getaway.

Great property for our stay in mid-April for a friend’s bachelorette weekend! We were a group of 12 and felt like we had plenty of space. The kitchen was fully stocked and had everything we needed for 3 family-style meals. It was very clean, conveniently located, and check-in/out was a breeze with proactive communication from the host. The backyard space with the Adirondack chairs was a great bonus for us. A few things we wish were different: none of the locks on the bathroom doors worked, the bed pillows were so thick and firm that several of us used couch pillows instead, and there wasn't door/curtain/divider to offer privacy to the bedroom with adjoining spaces. Overall, we would highly recommend this stay to anyone with a large group wanting to gather in KC !!

We booked the house several months ago for a graduation at UMKC. We had extended family and there was a room for everybody.! our first impression was very good. We walked in and the entrance smelled so good and so clean! All the rooms were very clean and beds and linens were done just like you see in hotels. There were plenty of towels for multiple showers.I have seen comments and the other postings about the upstairs attic bedroom. It is remodeled very nice and very spacious, but it is a very old house and the steps are steep and may be difficult to navigate for elderly people.The dining room and living room areas were very open and very accessible. The AC worked very well and the upstairs attic had its own unit.We thoroughly enjoyed this house! Thank you William you have done a fantastic job! I will add that the backyard is shared /connected to the house next door, so there is a possibility of renting both for a really big group!

The home was well stocked, nice beds and linens, towels. Bedrooms super nice. The lay out could be tough for some. Top floor very steep stairs and the second full bath is upstairs. Great coffee shop. Oddly perfect was fabulous. Close to the plaza and art museums. On Troost street which doesn't feel in a neighborhood but bedrooms all had fans to block out any noise. Overall loved our stay. Would recommend.

Great stay for a Monday Night Chiefs game.

Great sleeping accommodations, clean house and spacious back yard. Not too far from some great restaurants and conveniently close to the stadium where you can avoid a lot of traffic. Owner is very responsive and had great communication.

Good house for extended family

Very clean and well organized, excellent communication with host. Bathrooms and kitchen great, clean and neat the neighborhood is up and coming - craftsmen homes beautifully renovated and some a little run down. Very close to city ! Great coffee shop up the street.

The house was beautiful! And had plenty of space. We loved the historic look of the home and that it accommodated everyone. The location of the home wasn’t far from different restaurants and fun things to do. I would stay here again! I am William Bates, a community and business professional with solid experience and knowledge of Kansas City communities and a passion to see these communities grow and thrive. I am a trained urban planner with a degree in Urban Studies from University of Missouri at Kansas City and a Master’s in Business Administration. I currently live in the Historic Manheim Park community where I have served in the past as a member of the Community Leadership Council (e.g., Board of Directors) and oversee all housing and infrastructure development projects on behalf of the community. I am currently active in the community working with the Urban Neighborhood Initiative, the Troost Community Investment District Development Committee and several other local organizations. I love Kansas City and I am eager to lend my time and talents to help our local communities grow and thrive.

I moved to Kansas City approximately ten years ago to attend the University of Missouri at Kansas City where I completed a bachelor’s degree in Urban Studies with a concentration in community development. Through my training, I developed a passion for working in Kansas City communities and specifically leveraging resources from various sources to help these communities to become safer, more livable places where residents are proud to call these communities home. My interest in Urban Neighborhoods stems from this passion to leverage my talents as an urban planner and my training/professional experience in business to help improve the lives of people who live in central Kansas City. Beyond working with Urban neighborhoods, I have a passion in gardening and renovating houses.
