Great House! We had a family reunion there and it was wonderful. The kitchen is perfect for big groups- It's well equipped with two dishwashers and two sinks & lots of cooking gear & dishes. Very nice outdoor area with a fire pit, chairs and outdoor dining table. We walked to several of the art museums, about a 20 min walk through the park down the street. Cool coffee shop 3 blocks away, called "Oddly Correct" & ice cream spot "Sweet Cups", nearby. The Street car is also a short walk. The house has 2 washer and dryers and a large glass front refrigerator and big freezer. The house is on corner of Troost, which is a busy street, but you don't hear any street noise from house, or while sleeping.

Perfect for large groups!

We needed a property that could accommodate a large group (14) that did not require us to sleep in bunk beds. This property has six true bedrooms, was in a great location, and had lots of seating both indoors and outdoors. Parking was also very easy and convenient. We would definitely stay here again!

OUR BIG BEAUTIFUL BIRTHDAY WEEKEND

We had so much fun here! The house is wonderful! Enough beds and baths so everyone had their own. Room to get together or have down time. We gathered a lot in the kitchen. Especially while cooking breakfast and having our first coffee. Kitchen was to die for with lots of plates, etc for large groups. Frig and freezer was huge to hold all your stuff. Great Stay

Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. Well appointed, close to the plaza and Westport. Host was very responsive. We had a toddler in our group and the breakable things were on high shelves which we appreciated. While it is an older/historic home, it has been updated with all the amenities for a great stay.

Fantastic Girls Trip

We totally enjoyed the accommodations for our girls trip.The house was perfect !The location & proximity to the Plaza was ideal. The house clean and well organized, we felt very safe and appreciated the off street parking. The host was very responsive to any to our needs, more than helpful booking and having to rebook due to Covid. In addition to helping out when we got locked out! We would definitely book again.

Great Stay!

We used this home for a girls trip with 12 adult women. It held us all very comfortably and offered plenty of space and privacy. The parking holds 2-3 cars, but street parking is also easily available. The commercial size fridge and freezer were great for a large group. The location felt central to the areas we were visiting, and we were able to do a WalMart+ delivery to the front door. Irons and hair dryers are provided, but bring your own pillows!

Great stay close to Kauffman Gardens and the Nelson

Our group of 12 had a great stay in this beautiful, historic home. The property manager was quick to respond to any concerns (AC questions, etc). The outdoor patio area was perfect for enjoying the spring weather and it was 15 min walk to Kauffman Gardens and the Nelson Atkins. There was a bit of street noise being right off Troost, but this was not unexpected given the urban location. All in all, we highly recommend this property to anyone looking to host a memorable event.

Fabulous House for Wedding Guests

This Kansas City house was a wonderful place for me and my family (mother, siblings, adult children and nieces) to stay - 13 of us. It was plenty big for our group and the house was well appointed and comfortable. The dining room was large, the living room was cozy, the bedrooms and bathrooms were perfect! There was also a large outside area with tables and chairs for us to gather, take pictures and play card games! The location was close to our wedding venue (Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art) and downtown KC. The owner is amazing and I would definitely rent this house again!

Perfect for our family!

This property had it all!! There was a tv and fan in each bedroom! There were plenty of bathrooms for everyone to get ready in their own space for the wedding! The house was huge and seemed to go on and on! The air conditioner worked well! Everything was VERY clean and there were many games and books there also! There was also a nice parking lot behind the house. Our only complaint was that we couldn't have 3 parking spaces if people didn't park correctly. Some parking spaces were used by the Vrbo next to us so we had to park on the street. That was fine though. Thank you for providing a GREAT place for us!!

The location of this property is in a riskier part of KC; this should somehow be noted. The pictures were staged to signify a more updated property. We knew this was older property, however were a bit disappointed when seeing in person.

This property is located in a revitalized neighborhood of other restored homes that are all over 100 years old. The property is close to The Plaza, Westport and Power and Light district is not too far of a drive away. Yearly, we do add new features to outside or sometime the interior. We strive to make the guest experience the best it can be so we do look forward to feedback.

I am William Bates, a community and business professional with solid experience and knowledge of Kansas City communities and a passion to see these communities grow and thrive. I am a trained urban planner with a degree in Urban Studies from University of Missouri at Kansas City and a Master’s in Business Administration. I currently live in the Historic Manheim Park community where I have served in the past as a member of the Community Leadership Council (e.g., Board of Directors) and oversee all housing and infrastructure development projects on behalf of the community. I am currently active in the community working with the Urban Neighborhood Initiative, the Troost Community Investment District Development Committee and several other local organizations. I love Kansas City and I am eager to lend my time and talents to help our local communities grow and thrive.

I moved to Kansas City approximately ten years ago to attend the University of Missouri at Kansas City where I completed a bachelor’s degree in Urban Studies with a concentration in community development. Through my training, I developed a passion for working in Kansas City communities and specifically leveraging resources from various sources to help these communities to become safer, more livable places where residents are proud to call these communities home. My interest in Urban Neighborhoods stems from this passion to leverage my talents as an urban planner and my training/professional experience in business to help improve the lives of people who live in central Kansas City. Beyond working with Urban neighborhoods, I have a passion in gardening and renovating houses.
