Das komfortable Haus liegt ideal mit herrlichem Weitblick im westlichen Teil der Dingle Halbinsel. Die schönsten und spektakulĂ€rsten Teile von Dingle sind teilweise zu Fuß oder nach kurzer Autofahrt zu erreichen. Im Haus findet sich alles, was man braucht. Die drei Schlafzimmer verfĂŒgen jeweils ĂŒber ein eigenes Bad. Die KĂŒche ist gut ausgestattet. Bei schönem Wetter kann man im kleinen Garten sitzen. Checkin/out waren problemlos. Unser Dank geht an Sharon fĂŒr den freundlichen Empfang und die nĂŒtzlichen Hinweise.

Erholsame Tage in einem gemĂŒtlichen Haus

Unser Urlaub hĂ€tte nicht schöner sein können. Das Haus war in einem makellosen Zustand – sehr sauber, gemĂŒtlich und mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Man merkt sofort, dass hier viel Wert auf QualitĂ€t und Wohlbefinden gelegt wird. Wir haben uns vom ersten Moment an sehr wohlgefĂŒhlt.Ein besonderes Dankeschön geht an die Verwalterin Sharon – sie war ein echter Segen: herzlich, hilfsbereit und immer ansprechbar. Auch die Lage des Hauses war ideal – ruhig und dennoch im schönen Ballyferriter gelegen, so dass wir 3 Pubs und das Hotel mit Restaurant fußlĂ€ufig erreichen konnten.Wir wĂŒrden jederzeit wiederkommen!

Tolle Erlebnisse

Ein Ort zum WohlfĂŒhlen! Das schöne Haus hat ebenso alles geboten, was fĂŒr einen entspannten Urlaub in Irland benötigt wird wie die einzigartige Lage im Westen der Halbinsel Dingle mit tollen StrĂ€nden und traumhaften Aussichten auf die Blasket-Inseln und den wilden Atlantik. In Dingle gibt es genĂŒgend Möglichkeiten sich in einer ĂŒppigen Anzahl an urigen Pubs und mit Irish traditional Music an vielen Tagen der Woche zu unterhalten. AusflĂŒge nach Tralee und Killarney ergĂ€nzen die Möglichkeiten. Hervorzuheben ist die sehr nette Gastgeberin, die sich rĂŒhrend um unser Wohl im Ferienhaus kĂŒmmerte und fĂŒr einen reibungslosen Ablauf unseres Urlaubs sorgte. Danke dafĂŒr! Das Haus und Dingle sind in jedem Fall zu empfehlen; wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

Very good and comfortable House.

We were very satisfied with the house. There was enough space for us and our four children, and the rooms were comfortably furnished. The contact person on site was very friendly and helpful and quick to respond when we had questions. The house is wonderful as a starting point for hikes and excursions in the area. We would holiday in the house again at any time.

Spacious beautiful house in wonderful surrounding

We spent 2 weeks end of August in this wonderful house. We were met by MichaelÂŽs sister Sharon on arrival and she gave us a really warm welcome. She showed/explained all the facilities and tips for the surroundings. We instantly felt at home and started unpacking our things. As we were a family with two children we used only two of the three bedrooms. The house is spacious and could also fit 6 people easily. Everything was clean and in very good condition. Internet / WiFi connection worked perfectly. We took longer walks from the house and explored the suroundings. There are beautiful beaches approx. 30 min. walk or less than 10 min drive away from the house. The dingle peninsula is beautiful and not so touristic as Kerry peninsula. It is approx. 30 min car drive to dingle were all the shopping can be done in a Lidl or Supervalu. We really can recommend this house. Thanks so much to Sharon for the warm welcome and the care taken during our stay. We really enjoyed the time in the house.

Perfect place!

Very cosy and clean house with new furniture at the end of a quit street above Ballyferriter. Just two Minor drawbacks: there could have been more dishes in the kitchen and towel rails in the bathroom. But otherwise a great place!

Best Holiday Home Ever

From the minute we arrived we felt at home, comfortable and thrilled with the size, condition and maintenance of the house. It was so well equipped and so nice to see all the extras which went above and beyond what we would have expected in a holiday home. Sharon could not have been kinder and friendlier. This is How You Want To Experience Ireland

Staying in this small village and having access to Dingle, the drives, the cruises, and the hikes are great ways to get a feel for this most beautiful part of Ireland. (Be sure to get tickets for a concert at St. James’s Church in Dingle.) Sharon lived up to the other reviews. She made us feel at home and we knew we could contact her if we needed to. Stock up on groceries before you get there, but don’t overbuy because the pubs and hotel have great choices. We could have taken the bartender at Murphy’s home with us, but alas, he wouldn’t want to leave Ballyferriter. We didn’t want to either.

Beautiful place for a quiet stay

This is a beautiful property on the quiet and relaxing Dingle Peninsula. Large bedrooms and ample bathrooms are greatly appreciated especially when coupled with a very functional kitchen with full sizes appliances. Amazing views from the living room and both upstairs bedrooms add to the enjoyment of this house. It is in a very quiet neighborhood; a perfect base for exploring the peninsula and surrounding County Kerry. Michael was very easy to make arrangements with when planning our trip. He responded quickly and made the process effortless. You cannot hope to find a host better than Sharon. She was attentive without being obtrusive, gave wonderful recommendations, and treated us like family. We will definitely plan on staying here on our next trip to Kerry.

Another perfect week

After our wonderful first stay at An Maimin last year, we knew we would return as soon as we could. We had another lovely week of seaside cliff walks, hill hikes and strolls to and along the local beach. This area is so beautiful and the home is the perfect location from which to explore and enjoy all of the natural wonders surrounding it. There are also three pubs and a hotel a 5 minute walk (or less) away, all of which serve up good pints and food and Dingle is a quick drive for even more options. The home is impeccably kept and has everything you need to make meals or enjoy evenings at home, reading in front of a peat fire or enjoying a drink on the patio. The beds are comfortable and it is quiet and peaceful. The hosts are fantastic. Micheal is a prompt communicator and his sister Sharon is also quick to respond and a blast to chat with. On the one chilly, windy, rainy day we had during the week, she showed up with more peat and wood to make sure we cold enjoy a cozy fire---lovely! She is kind, down-to-earth and fun and we were delighted to see her again and catch up. We look forward to our next trip to An Maimin soon.

Great house

We spent a really lovely week at Micheal’s house in this beautiful part of the world. The house is very comfortable and well equipped. The downstairs bedroom is ideal for anyone with mobility difficulties. There’s a lovely private little garden with great views. The Slea Head drive was breathtaking in the fine weather. Sharon is a wonderfully warm and kind host. I highly recommend this property.

Incredible!!

This place was absolute perfection! We had NO clue where we were going, and didn't know much about the best places to stay in Ireland but we found this place online only a few weeks before we went, and it turned out to be the most amazing thing we did! First of all, the place was darling! And Sharon, who manages it, was absolutely adorable! We had so much fun getting to know her and she was so helpful immediately if we ever needed anything. She gave us information of places to go and we found that to be so helpful to us! The Slea Head drive is so amazing and Sharon was a wealth of information of where to go. We'd go again in a heartbeat! As far as the house goes, it was so comfortable and enjoyable. The beds are incredible, and that was a huge thing. The kitchen is well stocked. They have a fireplace, which was very helpful as a few days were a bit chilly. There isn't much in the way of TV channels but that was ok. They do have a cute little "reading" room that does have a TV that can play DVD's only but there weren't many videos available. But that was no biggie because there's so much more to do that you hardly have time to sit and watch a movie anyway! The place is a bit out there on the tip of the Dingle Peninsula but the longer we were there, the more we loved being off the beaten path. I would recommend this place over and over again! You won't go wrong staying there.

Perfect!

Wow!! We have to repeat--Wow! We absolutely loved "our home" at An Maimin in Ballyferriter. Everything from booking to the too-quick end of our stay was perfect. Micheal and Sharon were terrific hosts throughout. The house is situated in beautiful, laid-back Ballyferriter, only a couple of minutes walk to a small shop with basic essentials and the local pubs, all of which are welcoming and serve up good drinks and food. It is also a pleasant walk away from one of the stunning local beaches and a very short drive to any of the other beautiful beaches and historical, scenic attractions along Slea Head Drive. Also within a short drive are loads of walking/hiking trails and hill and cliff walks that range in difficulty from easy to more strenuous (Mount Brandon--well worth the effort). The views from the house are fantastic as are the views in almost any direction from almost any location in the area. Just stunning! The drive to Dingle town is easy and under 15 minutes so it was easy to take in traditional music, enjoy a meal, shop for local art and crafts or stock up on groceries. The house is immaculately maintained and clean. It is supplied with everything you need to relax, cook at home, enjoy a pint or cocktail in the lovely outdoor sitting area or snuggle up with a book in front of a peat fire in the living area. The beds are very comfortable, it is a peaceful setting and made for a perfect week of settling in and recharging after a long 2+ year hiatus from travel due to the pandemic. We felt so at home immediately. Now, the best part: the hosts. Micheal was a great communicator from booking to check-in and quick to respond to any queries. His sister Sharon was the most welcoming, warm, charming, and gracious host while we were there. She also responded quickly to any messages. She met us there and made sure we knew all of the details about the home and how to use all of the incredible amenities. We enjoyed meeting her and were very happy to spend a bit of time with a local who gave us great tips and recommendations and shared some laughs (and who is a native Irish speaker). We have been to Ireland many times and, in particular, to the Dingle Peninsula. Without a doubt, this was the best experience we have had with any accommodation and host. That is saying something, given the beauty of Ireland and the incredible people there. We will most definitely return as soon as we can. Cheers, Kim & Paul

We truly appreciated our stay in Ballyferriter. The house is spacious and very conveniently located (restaurants and grocery shop within walking distance), closest beach reachable by foot. All major tourist attractions on the Dingle peninsula can be reached easily by car.

Love Balleyferriter - Baile an Fheirtearaigh

We loved "our" house in Balleyferriter. It was clean, cozy and near everything we wanted in a vacation destination. There were a few glitches but our new friend Sharon helped us each time. She was kind, attentive and helpful, all that you would want or need to assist with questions or concerns. We would love to go back. We love Dingle and know friends there and in Abbeydorney. Would definitely recommend this lovely home. The view from the bedrooms was exquisite!
