Wir haben Schläuche / Kajaks / Fahrräder zur Verfügung.
Wir sind auf der Direct RIVERFRONT, also können Sie im Todd Island Park zum Treiben mit der U-Bahn einsteigen und mit den Kajaks in den Public Park an der Big Hill Road einsteigen und zurück zur Hütte schweben !!
Es gibt (3) sehr große Schlafzimmer und hat (1) Kingsize-Bett im Hauptschlafzimmer und Königinnen in den anderen beiden. Der Bonusraum hat eigentlich zwei. Schlaf 8
Fahren Sie mit den mit Railroad Grade bereitgestellten Fahrrädern in die malerische KLEINE STADT Todd und besuchen Sie das historische Kaufhaus und den Gemischtwarenladen. Biegen Sie rechts ab und fahren Sie zur Mill Creek Road, um die Hügel zu erkunden. Einige sind sehr steil !!
Eine einzigartige Feuerstelle mit (3) Schaukeln zum Herumsitzen mit Familie und Freunden. HAHA...... oder versuchen Sie Ihr Glück beim Maislochspiel !!

The house was perfect for a birthday weekend away, lots of memories made! Fishing, cooking, playing games, we even went to the Todd Mercantile store to get some local souvenirs. Hoping to rent again in the warm weather so we could enjoy the river a little more with tubing and kayaking.

Wonderful location with beautiful scenery. We had a good time with the kayaks and fishing. We used the fire pit (a set of fire pokers or tongs would be a great addition) and corn hole boards. We really enjoyed ourselves and the cabin is set up with almost everything you could need. Would definitely rent again. Thanks Cheryl for hosting us and for being very communicative.

Christmas getaway

The cabin was beautiful and even decorated for Christmas. It was so clean and would stay here again and again! The fire pit was amazing and the kids loved the bikes!!

Me and my family stayed 4 nights and it was a perfect location and set up. We waded up and down the river fishing and exploring. You can take the kayaks and tubes up river to Todd Island park and drift back down to the property for a relaxing 2 hr float trip taking further advantage of the scenic river. The property was very clean and spacious and the host was more than accomidating as we had to change dates. The home had everything needed for a perfect trip and you could relax as much as you wanted. The location between Boone and West Jefferson was perfect, not too close to the crowds but close enough to get there and enjoy if you wish.Thanks Cheryl for all of your help! Norman W.

Another Great Stay

WE LOVE IT 💕 Everything was PERFECT!! Beautiful, Cozy cabin. Had everything to make us feel at home. It was even decorated for Christmas! The location is perfectly situated close to Boone, Blowing Rock, and West Jefferson The owners are thoughtful and caring. We knew if we had questions, we could reach out to them. This was one of our favorite trips this year. I definitely recommend a stay here when visiting the NC Mountains.

Perfect Summer Getaway

We had a wonderful time at "Our Last Nickel". It was such a beautiful and clean home. We thoroughly enjoyed the use of the tubes and bicycles. The cooler temperatures made for a very pleasant summer stay. We enjoyed time relaxing on the porch and on the swings by the river. The kitchen was well equipped for all our needs. We will definitely be returning here as soon as we can!

COVID Relief 2020

Cabin was nice and had extras like tubes, kayaks, and bikes. Would recommend a gas grill in lieu of asking for donations for charcoal and finishing the river access for easier entry to river activities. Enjoyed our time at the cabin and would recommend it to other renters.

thanks for reviews......would of done gas but easier to keep charcoal there and igniter than gas cylinders.... The river front was scheduled to be finished the first of April but due to COVID and weather the company c ould not do it BUT...they are there NOW finishing it and will be much better...... great winter weekend

The house was great. Very clean and as described it has everything you need except food. The fire pit was used even in the 12+ inches of snow. There was a great spot two lots down, in the community lot, to go sledding with the kids. Gas fireplace was great and quickly warms the house up. Everyone had a great time and we will certainly look to book again next winter.

Great vacation!

First of all, every email we sent to the property manager was answered super quickly. She was very responsive and very helpful. We were surprised at how new the cabin felt. Everything was very clean and very new. We definitely enjoyed how much space we had in the back yard. The kitchen had everything we needed from plates to pots/pans to silverware. The bedrooms were all very comfortable. Overall we had an amazing time at the cabin and would definitely stay again. Thanks!

Great Getaway

My wife and I had a great few days at the cabin with 4 grandkids. Cheryl was a fantastic host. We had a few questions when we got there and she answered right away. Some of the river tubes were not holding air well and she had new tubes delivered the next day. Could not ask for any better service. The location was lots of fun for the 5, 7, 9 and 11 year old. They had a blast in the river, wading up stream and downstream. They even caught a few fish with a hand line they found and earth worms. We enjoyed a kayak paddle down from Todd as well. Great location if you are looking for a place that is quite and a little out of the way but not to far from town if you need those things you forgot. We would definitely stay again.

Perfect getaway on the New River!

We enjoyed a wonderful week at this beautiful home on the New River! Cheryl was an excellent host who has thought of everything - there were even Easter baskets waiting for our boys when we arrived! The home is very clean and has everything you need. We really enjoyed using the bikes to ride around, kayaking and fires by the river. We can’t wait to come back!

Adorable home, very clean, comfortable, has everything you need. Fire pit by the river is awesome. We stayed in Oct so there was no "traffic" on the river.

Great Escape!

For the past 5 years we have been renting 3 bedroom properties in this area on the New River. This property outshines them all! The location is perfect for tubing and kayaking on the river. It has a perfect floor plan for giving a family or group of three couples space and privacy. The long covered deck faces the river and has plenty of comfortable seating to enjoy the view. There is a great fire pit with swinging benches to enjoy an evening under the stars. We appreciated the comfortable beds, a kitchen supplied with plenty fresh pots, pans, etc... We brought our own bikes and tubes, but they did have very nice bikes of all sizes to use, and plenty of nice tubes to use. We did enjoy using 2 of the 4 kayaks that they offered. We look forward to returning next summer!

Thank you Timothy for the review......Greatly appreciated..... We rented many cabins in the VA MTS b4 deciding to build our own and told my husband from the beginning i wanted it furnished so people could come stay on vacation and feel like home.....and not have to bring eveyting with you....when we rented we had to take all the linens/towels/paper goods/ tubes jackets everything except the pots and pans...even had to take our knives because there were none there good for nothing.... REALLY GLAD you enjoyed your stay ****SECRET**** the riverbank is having alot of work done today so it will be much easier to access the river/ steps have been put in and leveled off.....dont wait too long to book for next year ...people already inquiring...hope you took a some cards when you left and spread the word Thanks again and look forward to hosting you again

Our cabin appears to be small from outside but it is a very spacious 2100+ Sq ft and lots of room inside and a large yard .
The kitchen is fully stocked
So many things to do here
