Die Lage des Axtel Komplexes ist nicht besser, da sie direkt am Fuße des Silver Queen Lift auf dem Mount Crested Butte liegt. Genießen Sie zusätzliche Annehmlichkeiten wie kostenfreies WLAN und einen gemeinschaftlichen Whirlpool im Freien, um die Aktivität der Grundfläche zu beobachten. Diese 1 Schlafzimmer, 1 Vollbad-Eigentumswohnung befindet sich am Hang zum Silver Queen Lift im zweiten Stock. Sie finden das Wohnzimmer gemütlich mit einem Holzofen (wir bevorzugen Duraloge) und Flachbild-TV. Urige Küche mit modernen Theken, Küchengeräten aus Edelstahl und komplett ausgestattet. Kleine Essecke befindet sich direkt neben der Küche, Platz für zwei Personen, um ein gutes Essen zu genießen. Zusätzliche Sitzplätze für 2 weitere in der Küche Frühstücksbar. Geräumiges Schlafzimmer mit Kingsize-Bett und Flachbild-TV. Diese Unterkunft verfügt über zwei Balkone, von denen einer in den Wohnbereich und der andere in das Hauptschlafzimmer mit Blick auf die Berge Axtel und Red Lady Mountains blickt. Gestapelte Waschmaschine und Trockner im Flur Schrank. Parkplatz für 1 vor Ort, Überlaufparkplatz für 1 zusätzliches Fahrzeug bei Bedarf.

Der KOSTENLOSE Mountain Express Shuttle fährt das ganze Jahr über für den Transport von und nach Crested Butte und Umgebung. Axtel ist nur wenige Gehminuten vom Transitzentrum entfernt. Der Sommerplan läuft alle 20 Minuten; Winterfahrplan läuft alle 15 Minuten; Schulter Jahreszeiten alle 40 Minuten.

We stayed for a week in July celebrating our 40th anniversary and to enjoy a cooler and dryer climate. It was lovely! Our VRBO was perfect for the two of us. We enjoyed a couple of the board games and the cross wind between the two balconies. It was comfortable and clean and supplied with all we needed.

Had everything we needed for 2 night stay. We love the Axtell building location and we’re happy to find a one bedroom since that’s anll we needed. Only recommendation would be adding a screen to sliding glass door off bedroom. Also washing extra blankets.

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Almost everything about this property was great. Property was clean, well maintained and kitchen was well stocked. Location was steps from the lift and close to several restaurants and bars. Only complaint was property management. Sent message that we arrived 1 HOUR EARLY, no reply. Called and person was so rude. She had no idea if the unit was clean and available (1 hour early). Apparently it was an inconvenience for her to even call me back. Then I had to call again to ask about the hot tub code - rude again - said its in the email we sent with instructions. Email wasn't sent until after check in time.

We do want to address the arrival experience, as this is not the typical vibe or level of service we strive to provide. We take feedback like this seriously and have completed a full internal review of the communication surrounding your stay. As a reminder, standard check-in is 4:00 PM. When you reached out shortly after 2:00 PM about arriving early (without advance notice), our team was actively managing a busy turnover day. While early check-in can’t be guaranteed, we were ultimately able to provide access at 3:00 PM, one hour early, once the home was fully cleaned and inspected. During peak days, our team works hard behind the scenes and provides updates as soon as they’re confirmed and sometimes the simplest answer really is that the home won’t be ready until the scheduled check-in time. Our goal is always to equip guests with clear information, thoughtful preparation, and support throughout their stay. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and the opportunity to reinforce expectations while continuing to improve.

Can’t top the location for skiing

Stayed as a family of 4 with two younger kids and were cozy but comfortable. Literally walk out your door to the two main base lifts.

Perfect location

Great place, on the slope, clean and comfortable. We did not receive the check-in instructions until we called and the room lacked coffee (only decaf)and cups(only lips), so the first morning was rough. They need an elevator too.

We've trained our staff to keep an eye out for glitches like this but thank you for calling so that we could get you the check-in instructions before your arrival. We try to include as much information as possible in our property descriptions, including that there is not an elevator. Elevators are extremely rare in Crested Butte, but luckily this condo is on the front side and only up one flight of stairs. You’re right at the base of the resort, so access is unparalleled to a majority of properties. And of course, we want to provide you with all the easy amenities of a home, so if anything ever looks out of sorts or missing, please call us. We’re here to help and provide an enjoyable stay!

Ski lodging

Great location. Access from parking to the unit was challenging with lots of stairs to navigate with luggage. Bed room window which opens toward parking lot did not have window coverings which is a major issue. The ski in ski-out location is awesome.

Great place to stay, not the easiest to get your stuff to

This room is great and literally overlooks the lifts at the base of the mountain. The only down side is that the trek from the parking lot to the room is somewhat difficult. The building faces the slopes and has no way to reach the parking lot from the room without walking all the way around down / uphill. Besides that it was great!

The only downside for us was you could hear the people upstairs walking around, chairs scooting on the floor and when they used the shower or toilet you could hear it our unit. Not sure we would stay in this unit again because of the noise. This was the first time we had stayed in the Axtell building. We have stayed in other condos on the mountain that are not as noisy The kitchen had everything we needed

Construction Outside

It was a nice little room for just my husband and I, just didn’t love having to park in a different parking lot because of the construction crew that was outside all of the days we were in town. Not very quiet. Lol.

Off the beaten path of Crested Butte

The Kitchen is small but functional, most all utensils you need. The bathroom is OK. Bed/mattress was better then expected. Living room is good and couch is decent shape. WiFi is fair to OK; Need to invest in sliding glass doors, probably the original doors and very hard to open. Being summer, not a lot of good restaurant options nearby.

The only complaint I have is that everytime the toilet was flushed it looked like it was going to overflow. I called maintenance who came and stated that it was not the plumbing but the toilet is very old and not water efficient. In this day of being energy efficient, it's a real shame that so much water is being wasted.

Ski in/out

Bring a suitcase you can carry upstairs and across the snow because this unit is right at the chair lift! So convenient for taking a break during lunch. Recommend bringing an extra blanket/bedding to keep extra warm during cold nights. Only basics are provided.

Great location

Access to the property is poor at best. There is no access from the west side parking lot to the east side stair wells without using the neighboring buildings staircase and carrying your luggage through the snow about 40 yards. Unloading and loading the vehicle should not be this difficult or time consuming given the checkin is 4pm or later. The condo itself is comfortable and perfectly located at the ski lift. Well appointed and has all the necessary items for a pleasant stay.

We appreciate your feedback, Bart. Being a true ski-in/ski-out property, winter access does require you to walk through the snow. There are some tips and tricks that our friendly staff will happily share with you to make unloading a bit easier. We are otherwise happy to hear that you enjoyed your accommodations!

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Property was as described. Great location for skiing and short walk to bus to town. Bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed the fireplace.Was challenging to find the entrance to the condo - would have appreciated more specific instructions. We never did find our ski locker and management company did not know either

Thank you, Carla! We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience at the Axtell Condominiums. We are sorry to hear that you had some difficulty finding the condo after-hours. We do provide a welcome letter and map with highlighted instructions in your late arrival packet. For some, a verbal description of how to get there may be easier to understand. We are open 7 days a week and are happy to provide these steps over the phone as well. There is ski storage provided for the entire building in a northeast closet, closest to the ski slopes. It is first come first serve, locked, but accessible to all that stay at Axtell. There are other private ski storage options available, just call to ask. We appreciate your feedback and hope that you will visit Crested Butte again!
